Good functionality but the price was prohibitive

What do you like best about the product?
There's lots of great functionality in Hootsuite for scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our plan significantly increased in cost which became prohibitive for us to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite made it easy for us to manage multiple social accounts for our different clients.

Versatile platform for social media management

What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration with major social media platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve. Not the best UI for the reporting dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite lets me schedule social media posts on multiple platforms in advance and see the upcoming publishing calendar at a glance. I can see gaps in coverage, easily copy/duplicate posts, and vary the timing of publishing.

Have all social tasks in one platform with extensive data analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Social posting for Pinterest (may be restrictions with Pinterest)
- Logs out after extended use
- "Streams" page is a little jank for different sources

Has all social management/monitoring under one seamless platform

Strongly Dislike, Extremely Glitchy Amateur Software

What do you like best about the product?
I really can't put anything hereexcept maybe that it recommends times to you
What do you dislike about the product?
Where to begin? The software is essentially useless because it always glitches and messes up your live posts, doesn't show companies or people to tag even when I am copying and pasting the exact names and can see they have a profile, and you are limited in how you can "schedule." If the entire point is to have a software where I can 1. pre-schedule, 2. tag companies and people and 3. not have to manually post on every platform all day long then it's a 100% waste of your time and money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't actually write in here that is solves any of my problems because I still have to manually post over 80% of the time. I will be cancelling and picking a different software.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite was instrumental in streamlining our social media management in a matrixed organization. Customer service, content scheduling, and analytics teams are all able to work efficiently using the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling posts for video posts still a challenge.
Some issues with responding to inbox/comments via Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New inbox feature rollout should be a big help for the member services team.

Great tool for social management

What do you like best about the product?
Hoot suite is a really great tool for scheduling social content across different platforms. They allow you to set up an approval process so posts get reviewed before posting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is you can't post direct to Instagram stories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They make social media management much more time efficient and make the approval process streamlined. Our team is more productive as a result. Before we would have way too many emails back and forth to do a simple task.

What do you like best about the product?
We had a pretty good onboarding experience - the sales team were quick and attentive to our organization's needs. Helped us source the right plan and answered any questions we had with a demo. They also offers a range of courses at the enterprise level that our team took full advantage of. The feedback from the courses that I have heard have been pretty good, along with the 1:1 coaching. All in all, we started using the program pretty quickly out of the gate.
What do you dislike about the product?
We tried to set up the approval process ourselves but found it harder to get it functioning the way we wanted it. Eventually, our account rep got a developer to do it for us. This process still isn’t perfect though as limited permissions affect specific individuals’ ability to edit or delete. Since Hootsuite is Canadian, I was surprised that their offerings weren't tailored to their local clients (we're also Canadian). Costs were in USD and they have teams across the continent that they don’t necessarily line up with your own time zone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to bring our social media management back in-house and Hootsuite allowed us to do that. The main problem it solved for us was content scheduling and a calendar that everyone had access to, eliminating the need for multiple people to access multiple social media accounts. The analytics they provide are an added bonus and the courses offered some additional training for our team which they seemed to enjoy.

Easy-to-use social media scheduling with Hootsuite

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes planning and scheduling social media content easier. Their suggestions and content libraries can save you a lot of time and the reporting makes it easy to measure the impact you're making.
What do you dislike about the product?
The approval process within Hootsuite is somewhat unreliable and has caused frustrations within our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's making creating a content calendar and planning/scheduling social media posts across all of our channels easier.

Excellent social media management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Have used a few social media tools and found Hootsuite to be the best. There's a lot of the team who use it and as the social media manager, I'm able to easily delegate roles like certain admin or viewer roles. It has everything I need for scheduling and analytics, and responding to customers. The platform regularly updates with new tools too, like the recent introduction of Grammarly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much wrong with Hootsuite, whenever we do have any issues, the team helps and sorts things out quickly. I am very happy using Hootsuite and I know the rest of the team are too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having multiple accounts, we find Hootsuite a fantastic way to keep track of these accounts and schedule content for each platform. We also found the analytics to help save time as previously we used to go into each platform to see post performance. Hootsuite helps me to oversee all the accounts too as a manager when previously I didn't have awareness of all the accounts.

The new features they are always developing. I especially like the AI and social listening features right now.

They are just starting with social listening, I would like more features for this and brand reputation.
