What do you like best about the product?
I love the direct instagram posting and the informed metrics for both best post times and when most of our followers are online. It blows competitors away while being the most affordable platform I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some IG Reel post differentiation and the ability to supercede instagram posting restrictions. I don't believe they are most up to date in terms of the posting capabilities of businesses on IG.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The direct IG posting and qualitative measurements of the audience allow me to output brilliant reports in 10 minutes: something that used to take me a couple of hours to aggregate from varying sources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! It's powerful and effective. It will reduce posting time and report generation immensely!

Wonderful Trial Experience and Education

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is a hub where you can post all your social media posts in one place with optimal scheduling times. It also gives good analytics for measuring success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features still need to be fleshed out more like the apps portion. There could be more integration with different apps. Also, posting stories on Instagram is still difficult to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly needed to be educated about how to handle social media and branding. The education I received from the product and classes was top-notch and got us amazing results.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that posts can be scheduled for different platfomrs
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduled posts can't be edited at the same time, even though they were created and scheduled together and have the same content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's saving a lot of time spent on posting

Large price increases without permission or warning; customer service oblivious

What do you like best about the product?
Connecting accounts and posting is relatively easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that 90% of the time for SaaS, price increases should not impact legacy users.

Hootsuite tripled the price I was paying. I had to find this out from my invoice. No permission was given. There was no advance warning. They just snuck it in there.

When I requested that customer service offer a refund, they (first a robot, then a human) kept misunderstanding the issue. E.g. I could not start a simple conversation about a price increase. The chatbot would inanely respond with irrelevant articles and marketing snippets. The email I received later from the human customer service appeared not to have read the chat and also sent irrelevant content.

In the end, Hootsuite was just supposed to be a convenience and is not core to my business. I did not want to spend any more time getting the run around nor did I like the idea that they do business in this way, so I cancelled it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite helps post on social media and is a time saving tool.

Seamless all in one posting platform

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it posts automatically so you don't have to verify or login to post every single time across several platforms. I haven't used any other platform to compare to, but I don't plan on switching.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the interface calendar would show posts a little more clearly rather than having to click each respective day and then each post to see what exactly the post is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves my problem of having to login to 3 separate social accounts and create separate posts so it's effectively saving time and increasing productivity on my end.

Too Slow and logs out after a while. Pricey.

Spreading message and globally saying that my company is alive.

What do you like best about the product?
Conntectivity onto all platform and accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
You cant get onto Instgram direct to post . Setting up Insta was a nightmare in the end we gave up .

Saving time with not reposting same content

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciated that I could set up feeds for all platforms. This was particularly helpful for viewing the Facebook and Instagram pages of all of our meteorologists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite always disconnected from our Facebook page, sometimes multiple times a week. Their support team was also very unresponsive and could not provide satisfactory solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allowed for general social media monitoring of our talent pages, as well as posting and scheduling and baseline analytics. This tool helped to better our social media management.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can customize almost every single element of the interface - which hashtags to follow, which accounts, the order of my streams, etc. I stick around, though, for the ability to schedule out my social postings months in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I spent over an hour trying to post an Instagram story - it actually took more time to deal with this through Hootsuite than through Instagram directly. I really wish they could fix this as it's a core communications tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning - we used to put our social posts calendar in Google Docs, then someone would have to go in every day and remember to post at specific times. This allows us to be more streamlined and efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a small organization like we are without a dedicated social media manager, bring in a consultant for a brief engagement to help you set up Hootsuite and set up your processes to plan and use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Analysis that is provided is excellent. Easy to use for all the team.

Wish it was a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

We can now automate everything and not have people posting at weekends. We now understand the best times to post.
