Hootsuit has become too pricy

What do you like best about the product?
I liked how I have been able to manage all my social media platforms in one place with ease. It allowed me to save time by scheduling posts in advance and planning my marketing ahead of schedule. Being able to view already posted content, scheduled content on the same platform is brilliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was used to using the free version of Hootsuite. I wouldn't say I liked that they removed the free plan, which was enough for my needs, and then increased the pricing of the tiers as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows posting of content at the optimal times on social media platforms via automation. Manage all social media profiles in one platform and help solve time management issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider shopping around to find the most suitable social media scheduling tool that will meet your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to plan and schedule posts for social media. This eliminates a lot of time it would take to go to each platform separately to schedule posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how accounts are sometimes randomly disconnected from the program and fail to post. Having some dependability and consistency would be better for us in practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're saving a lot of time managing our social media accounts and scheduling posts to reach our supporters and audience. It's our one-stop shop for social media management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test your text on Twitter first, it has the most character restrictions.

It Gets the Job Done

What do you like best about the product?
Fairly straightforward and easy-to-use. The content planner helps with scheduling posts and visualizing what's ahead in the queue. The suggested /best times to post feature is interesting (not sure how effective it is yet). Streams are also helpful to stay on top of multiple facets at once (particularly for Twitter) such as hashtags, competitors, and followers. However Streams can appear overwhelming at times, but fortunately they can be modified.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a few issues with trying to tag other accounts. In some cases it won't event identify the account and in other cases I can't even tag them, particularly via LinkedIn so a few times I've had to manually post from the profile.

Some elements of the UI look a bit dated (the content calendar looks different from the Planner calendar). Support can be a bit slow, I don't anticipate a fast response through their chat

Maybe they have this feature in a different tier, however it would be great to have a separate view for different brands / business units / products

You need a Business Plan in order to export reports as an excel file.

Can't schedule a Twitter thread.

I manage multiple social media accounts. Hootsuite helps with planning and scheduling posts and measuring performance.

Great Social Marketing Tool

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how much easier it makes it to manage social media across multiple platforms. Probably the handiest thing is scheduling posts, meaning you can get the week sorted and then not think about post creation again allowing you to focus on engagement. You can also post directly to Instagram which is a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to some other sites, it doesn't have the same intuitive skills when it comes to best times to post and such. I also wish it allowed you to do link in bio posting for Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to efficiently post multiple posts across multiple platforms to save time and not have to post natively to each site. This saves a lot of time being able to do it all from one place and then quickly adjust times/dates as needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive dashboards with an easy learnint curve, plus the fact that it allows us to batch content for scheduled distribution
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a deal breaker - however their Social Listening feature can be quite expensive vs. other options in the market. Maybe theirs is superior - we haven't tried it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we are a small team, Hootsuite does the work of 10 people sometimes for us in terms of social media marketing.

Not the Worst, But there are Better Options

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of connecting accounts to your Hootsuite account and the data/reports you can pull for each account/client. These attributes made it decent to use for a short amount of time. I will say, there are additional features that I did not often use that sounded very appealing to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike how crowded and overwhelming the calendar is. Each scheduled post is long and takes up room, and it ends up being very crowded when you're running it for multiple clients. I also dislike that you can't schedule for several platforms and change each individual platform simultaneously. It ends up taking 4x as long as another scheduling tool that would allow you to because you have to save and schedule each platform and then start another one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was trying to solve the problem of not being able to jump on social media and post for myself, my two businesses, and my multiple clients throughout the day. Having a scheduling tool enables me to do so.

Too Pricy and a Bit Complicated to Use!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can connect all your profiles and send as a group each time that you want to send. No need to re-select the profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is way too pricy! The $75 monthly is for very few profiles. Also, after 10 years with them, basically grandfathered, they jacked my price up from $9.99 to $75.00. Not much customer service and consideration for those who started early on in the history of Hootsuite.

Also, the analytics are complicated and no very user friendly. I can't set up individual reports easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite lets me post to over 44+ accounts with one send. And also, it selects my followers when I type their names in to tag them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is way to pricy for the benefits. Unfortunately there are not other products on the market that offer a similar product. The new kid on the block for Social Sharing is Constant Contact. I may leave Hootsuite and just stick to Constant Contact, even though you cannot group the social media channels, which means that I have to click on each profile (44 of them) each time I want to send to multiple profiles.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can plan ahead for social media posts, and can manage the time of deployment. No more logging in at certain times to post - Hootsuite helps you plan it all ahead of time and will auto deploy for you when the time is right!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike. It's pretty straightforward, super user friendly, and simple to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more logging in at peak times to get your posts out there for maximum engagement. Saves SO much time!

Simple interface, decent reporting, and good calendar function.

There are certain posts such as Instagram that the platform struggles to post several images for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term social goals become much easier with Hootsuite. Scheduling is the simplest and easiest function of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Integrates all my social media channels.
as such I find it convenient for marketing my business. The free plan is very much appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to upgrade but it's seems to be pricey.
Nothing to dislike as I am currently working on all my social media marketing platforms with Hootsuite: LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook and have been using it for almost eight months.

Scheduling updates has helped me out a lot.
I can even use spreadsheets on my system for scheduling my updates.
Tracking the messages I get on my social media has solved most of my challenges . Earlier, I used to miss half of messages.

Begin with the free plan and definitely upgrade if you can afford it.
