Perfect to start with

What do you like best about the product?
The most important feature for our business is the ability to plan our social media posts in advance. It's much more efficient to schedule weekly social media content in a session.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the software has had some bugs for us. Sometimes images are not loaded or content is not published due to errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite helps us keep the content we post on social media active. Hootsuite also helps us maintain a regular work release rate.

Hootsuite for Scheduling Instagram Posts

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to schedule posts for Instagram for our business account is a huge asset.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that we are not able to schedule Instagram stories with Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are always trying to find ways to be more efficient with work. By having the ability to schedule out posts, we are not only saving time, but we do not have to worry about when something will post moving forward.

Sneaky Contract Renews, No Flexibility, No Communication

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is great if you're an enterprise company and have a ton of social you need to post and research on a daily basis. If you have a dedicated social manager and/or team that is embedded in social action 24/7, this could be useful. For smaller agencies, I'd advise against it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite renewed our contract without contacting us (for a year) and no communication was made to see if we were happy or would like to adjust at all. We've been trying to cancel our contract for months now and they are not flexible in the least. It's an expensive tool that you can find free alternatives for (or MUCH less expensive options), so I would highly recommend you look elsewhere before being locked into a year-long contract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, you can find tools that do the majority of what Hootsuite does for much, much less. They do a great job at selling you on all of the useful features, but I've found that it's not much different than some of the most basic software.

What do you like best about the product?
I use hootsuite to update and track all my social networks under one app. I like to have an overview of all my activities and informing my supervisors is easier than getting individual reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the platform is more than social media planning and I would like someone with customer service to call me just to improve my skills with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, the software is quite easy to use and you discover how to use it without any training you will be able to get the full potential of this tool.

Basic and Outdated

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is simple to understand for those that are starting out in social media management. I've been with them for around 10 years now, developing from a one-brand customer to managing 30 - 50 social media accounts.
I like the bulk composer option as it allows me to upload multiple posts, and now with the Schedule & Duplicate option, I can start with a Facebook post, schedule it, add hashtags for Instagram, schedule it, then shorten the copy for Twitter and schedule it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite is outdated and not much has changed over the past decade. I was grandfathered in with the pricing, and now cannot transfer to another social media management tool for even a tenth of what I pay to Hootsuite.
Hootsuite doesn't allow you to download draft posts (copy, images, links, hashtags) for you to present to a client and get approval. It only allows you to export to a csv file, which is pointless when your client needs to see how their images and links are going to look.
It takes them a long time (sometimes years) to build in the features that I see other social media management tools have - such as Instagram Stories scheduling and Pinterest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to schedule content through Hootsuite at minimal monthly cost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that Hootsuite has everything that your business requires before investing.

What do you like best about the product?
The most fabulous feature of Hootsuite is the ability to integrate multiple social media accounts and schedule posts across them in real-time from a single dashboard. Analyzing the advertisement metrics across various social media platforms from one place is rime saving and problem-solving.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop version of this app, significantly when scheduling posts, is a little more cumbersome. In contrast to the mobile app, it needs too many actions to produce a post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite acts as one place to monitor multiple social media platforms, create branded and consistent marketing campaigns, schedule content in advance, and analyze how their content performs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Rather than posting on each social media profile, Hootsuite lets users post across multiple social media platforms within a single dashboard. Not only that, it is ideal for running advertisements to access various social media profiles from a single tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite helps a lot to monitor multiple social networks. I can manage all social media platforms using this tool only. Your customer service is wonderful; responds quickly to questions. I get a lot of help thanks to the analytics the tool provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, Hootsuite should bring a feature that allows me to preview things that I am about to post on my social media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Hootsuite to manage multiple social networks. What I love about Hootsuite is the analytics. The analytics provided by Hootsuite are very detailed and helpful.

Not the best in terms of media storage

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can instantly post updates to all of my social media and marketing accounts as well as update my website simultaneously using Hootsuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
The file folder storage for media files and content is complicated and gets stuck easily. A simple update could include drag and drop options or even folder grouping and format grouping for things like videos and digital media files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite is a time saver for my marketing team. It also ensures continuity across all of our public platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to use dated labels and always properly organize media when storing content in your Hootsuite account, this will save time and make your content easily accessible in the future.
