Very helpful in planning out social media posts.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Hootsuite is to use. Very simple layout that even a novice can understand. You can easily lay out posts for the week, month, and even year and visually see when each post will be sent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had issues linking Hootsuite with LinkedIn. A lot of my posts will not go through due to an unknown error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a social media manager so Hootsuite saves me a lot of time by setting up all my posts for the week rather than going to post each time and taking time out of the day. Much more convenient and great way to streamline social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of their many webinars. This is a great way to learn how to use the platform as well as tips and tricks to creating effective and engaging social media content.
Easy to use and reasonably priced
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Hootsuite is how easy it is to use and schedule tweets/posts. The interface isn't fancy, but it's basic enough that there is no learning curve. Just sign up and get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess the basic interface can be a detractor as well. It isn't a "sexy" product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite helps me schedule multiple posts so I don't have to log in to every social site I manage and post separate posts in each place. It is a major time saver and makes my job easier, as a social media manager.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great, inexpensive product. Not tons of bells and whistles, but it gets the job done.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has nearly everything one needs to manage several social media platforms. Their reports are more detailed than any other social media management tool. They also offer online support that is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my clients have at least 3 platforms to manage and the team account barely covers them + my own personal social media. There have also been several instances when posts did not go through for no apparent reason, or accounts were sporadically disconnected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allows one to schedule, manage, and report on the most popular social media platforms. It is definitely an all-in-one management tool. The company also works with each platform to make sure it operates within the parameters of the api. They ensure that all scheduled posts meet the requirements for each social platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Truly, there is no other social media management tool that offers what Hootsuite offers for the price. Its shortfalls are really just because they operate within the api of each social media platform. Reports are clear and concise and can be downloaded as PDF to be sent to clients to avoid adding users for additional fees.

Hootsuite is easy for social media managers to schedule posts and keep tracking of their social stats. Great user interface!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to complain about. Sometimes tagging users on Twitter is glitchy, but that is a very minor thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite streamlines social management for businesses. It makes posting and keeping track of audiences easier.

A lot of people know how to use Hootsuite which I think is its biggest advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Terrible GUI. At this point anyone designing software should be able to build something that is intuitive and doesn't require attending webinars and reading a ton of support materials to make it work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped centralize our social media management into a single platform.

There are better platforms out there. Do your homework!

What do you like best about the product?
I really love being able to see all of my social media streams in one window. And the ability to schedule out posts is my favorite feature!
What do you dislike about the product?
Every so often my accounts will disconnect and I have to log back in. That can get annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My workflow is so much more effective and efficient.
Convenient, but has faults.
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is beneficial for scheduling and previewing content before being published. It allows for easy and convenient posting when we are not in the office, like during weekends and on holidays. Being able to schedule to more than one platform is appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform does not allow videos to be scheduled to Instagram ahead of time, as far as I am aware.
I also wish that there was a way to view your scheduled Instagram posts in the format of your Instagram page.

Again, being able to schedule posts out ahead of time so that content is still posted on breaks is convenient. It also makes working with a team easier, because everyone has access to the same information and posts all at the same place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great way to have all of your social media content in one place without switching for each social media platform. There is a free version, so I say go ahead and try it out!
Does exactly what you need at a good price.
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has a lot of good tools for bulk scheduling. As a marketer that posts social media on behalf of sales reps, we find posting for many reps at once fairly convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bulk composer takes a bit of work to understand. Reporting works, but lacks robustness on reporting across multiple social handles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite saved us a lot of time by scheduling posts for multiple accounts.

What do you like best about the product?
When first introducing companies who are new to social media management this product is free up to 3 social media accounts. It allows me to introduce the management tool and explore opportunities to purchase a plan as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout is not attractive - sort of confusing if you are just starting out with it.

Schedule social media posts in advance.

That it aggregates the data over multiple social media platforms into an accessible dash board

I dislike mist that their is not a tutorial for the less savvy and that you need an information analytics degree to explain the platform to layman.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are pinpointing times to share and garner the most views and we are finding out what mist interest our stake holders thereby trimming back unneeded expenditures in search time for shareable information.
