Very useful for synchronizing and organizing social networks!!!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Hootsuite for how practical it is to save work and to be able to focus on future brand posts, being able to get work done in advance. Similarly, I like the number of platforms it has for scheduling posts, it has a lot of variety and is quite useful. The free version really encourages you to get a premium account, I like that. It is very intuitive in terms of the analytics it offers and data collection, it is very realistic and the data is all in real time, which allows for much more specific and real tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had some issues with account reconnection, meaning that it often disconnects from one of the social media accounts and doesn't post on that platform, even when nothing has been posted manually on the social network, and I think that should be something to fix since it is vital for many brands to have all posts on time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has greatly benefited me and made my work as a Community Manager easier. Managing three accounts can make it difficult to maintain the essence and organization of each brand, and this is precisely where Hootsuite has benefited me. This software has allowed me to synchronize and schedule the brands' posts, the days they should be published, at what time, and on which social networks. It allows me to keep everything organized and consistent across the social platforms that the brands manage - which are Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram - maintaining the aesthetic of each network. I have saved a lot of work by using the software, as I can schedule posts for the weekends and not have to worry about them. Similarly, Hootsuite is so comprehensive that it has benefited me by providing analysis and data collection, allowing me to monitor the brand's position on social networks and understand the impact the posts have had, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Hootsuite, it is really practical, intuitive, and dynamic. It is very useful for keeping track on social media as well as for maintaining synchronized aesthetics. It is very easy to use and implement in work life.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Hootsuite it is really easy to use and it's a great social media management software. I also like that you can schedule posts across multiple platforms at the same time and its super easy to manage multiple networks for multiple clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Hootsuite is I have encountered some connectivity problems with Hootsuite which is very frustrating since I often have to reconnect accounts or I find out that my post didn't actually get published. Also, some of the plans in Hootsuite are pretty pricey compared to other services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can use Hootsuite to share, blog, post, and create content for your page or business. One of the benefits that I have realized Hootsuite has is that it offers the ease of measuring your analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a try! I recommend using it if you are trying to post and schedule in advance, also for any advertising or marketing purposes it is also a good platform to use.
Useful overview for social managers and agencies
What do you like best about the product?
Our agency manages social for a number of client. Hootsuite makes it easy to see mentions and schedule posts across a number of accounts - it's a lot easier than having to log into numerous individual accounts to maintain them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is uncomfortably easy to schedule a post to the wrong account - especially if you're scheduling multiple posts in a row. If the wrong account is selected as you compose your post, it's difficult to catch mistakes until the post is live. We also often have to reconnect accounts (even when those accounts have not been updated outside of Hootsuite)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made us more efficient at scheduling social media posts and managing responses. Our team is constantly adjusting and shifting, and this has made it easier to manage everything from one place without losing passwords or losing track of posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having several clients attached to Hootsuite can make managing several accounts easier, but be careful when scheduling posts that you're assigning them to go out in the correct accounts.

Sometimes it's hard to figure out campaigns and is a little expensive.

Great product, needs more capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
This software does a great job of what it sets out to do. It allows you to schedule your social media quickly, and not spend all day on it. It also allows you to look through your calendars of posts, see fans interacting with your accounts, and even interact without actually going to the social media itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once, I had an entire several weeks worth of social media disappear from Facebook, and it was basically resolved by logging in and logging back out. This is an insane amount of lost productivity and it took me reaching out to Hootsuite to even realize it was a problem. They should have preemptively warned me about this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allows me, as one person, to manage every social media account for a television show from one place. My job's number of responsibilities would be totally impossible without software like this, so I am very thankful that Hootsuite lets me schedule in advance, and most of the time have confidence that my social media is running well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a great tool in general, but you'll always run into some issues. Sometimes it bugs out for a day here or there, and there are a few features on each platform that it's lacking. For instance, Twitter polls, Facebook distribution settings for videos, etc.

A little complicated to set up at first... just time consuming really. Not sure what you can do about that!

Multiple social accounts that often fall into neglect because of time constraints.

This is a great resource for staying on top of your social calendar and will ease the burden of daily posting.
Good for Social Listening, Not as Good for Day-To-Day
What do you like best about the product?
They've got a great social listening program in Insights. You can track a ton of keywords to find relevant conversations and connect with people well. Plus, they've got great account managers who really listen to your concerns and keep you updated on new products.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is completely personal preference, but I do not like the layout of HootSuite. It seems confusing and overwhelming to my mind. It's tough for me to go through the feeds and focus on what's there. I only used this product because it was mandatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social listening was the biggest business problem we used Hootsuite to solve. It made such a huge difference in the ease of finding relevant conversations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If HootSuite's layout is not an issue for you, then this product can be extremely helpful. I think the company is very tuned into what clients need, and they're willing to hear criticism and to grow from it. I've been impressed by my interactions with the staff at HootSuite.
Great for media management

This program made it easy to manage my followers and schedule posts

Many of the features aren't unlocked until after you pay monthly

Great Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Everything you need to run multiple social media accounts all in one place. Especially love the ability to schedule posts to Twitter, Facebook pages, and Instagram. The feeds are all chronological which is a big plus now that Twitter and Facebook force popular posts on you instead of chronological ones.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little bit of a learning curve and not all social media platforms work with it, but that is the individual platforms fault not Hootsuite's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts so that time and energy isn't wasted everyday on social media and doing it all from one place allows us to see when and where each post is going at a glance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a free version that will allow you to give it a try or even continue to use it if you only have a few social media accounts. Give it a try. We use it for multiple accounts and social media platforms.
