Powerful tool, clumsy application
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can schedule posts across different social channels. As a social media manager for various clients, that is important. I mainly use it for scheduling to Instagram.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that you can’t schedule videos or more than 1 photo or non-square photos to Instagram. Sometimes the application is a little clumsy or non-intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling for Instagram, that’s been the main benefit.
A good software with room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is easy. I manage around 10 social media platforms for my business and Hootsuite allows me to post to multiple accounts at once. My favorite feature is the streams. The streams allow you to view all of your platforms on your dashboard. This makes it easy to monitor all social media activity and stay up to date with trends and news.
What do you dislike about the product?
I manage 3 different Facebook accounts but I am only able to schedule posts to one at a time. I can post to a Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram account at the same time but only one Facebook. My concern going forward with Hootsuite is its ability to stay up to speed with competitors. For the price, competitors offer much more up to date features. I also always experience glitches when posting to our Instagram Business accounts. Many times, the photos don't post or a reminder is never sent. It has been inconsistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage all of my companies social media platforms on Hootsuite. I schedule posts for the entire month at once which makes content consistency a breeze.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you only have basic social media needs, Hootsuite will definitely work for you. For the price, competitors offer a wider array of features. Hootsuite has room for improvement to stay up to speed.

Able to schedule in advance, toggle between many profiles and platforms

Can't use with instagram, usability changes every time social platforms change

Can set things up ahead of time before vacations/closings, can cater to different time zones.
Great for instagram management
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to post media to all my networks at once, but being able to modify each for maximum impact. The link shortener and tracking is a bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
A huge thing is not being able to like and comment on Instagram posts from Hootsuite. I know it is an Instagram rule. It can be a bit slow at times, as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's much easier to keep track of my media when it's all in one place on one platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a paid version to consider.
Simple and Easy to Use Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
This program has a ton of options. We utilize the free option to manage three social media accounts, we can still use scheduling using this option. Makes posting across multiple platforms easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love them to resolve the issues with tagging multiple accounts across platforms. The app could use a little UI optimization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time when processing regular posts. Also ability to manage business social media on my personal cell phone.

Automated social media posts
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you are able to schedule posts on multiple social media platforms at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a way to do this without it being so obvious that it’s automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves me time in the long run, I’m able to schedule weeks in advance if need be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I hav Er used this program in 2 yrs, I’m sure they’ve made changes in the right direction. It’s great to be able to make social media posts on several platforms at once. This ensures that you’re getting maximum exposure.
Without the Facebook integration, it's significantly less useful than it once was.

Scheduling posts across multiple platforms and being able to see them all is very useful for content planning an entire social media marketing campaign.
What do you dislike about the product?
Without being able to post in Facebook with the tag integration, I essentially have to post on Facebook seperately which negatively impacts the usefulness of this application.

It is beneficial to be able to see planned posts across multiple platforms.
Awesome platform for social media posting
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is fabulous because it allows you to manage all your social media platforms at one time. It helps cut down on the repetitive work and gets things done efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found Hootsuite to be pretty expensive, if I were to manage more than 2-3 platforms or for multiple businesses as a social media manager. This dislike is not major though, as it is still worth it for the time it saves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a solo entrepreneur in my marketing company, I have to figure out ways to cut down on my time and cut costs too. I was able to do those two things with Hootsuite because I could post on multiple platforms at one time. As long as it less than 3 platforms, it remained free.

What do you like best about the product?
It is one of only social media marketing tools that support the management of multiple which is very nice. YouTube accounts from the dashboard, along with the ability to schedule video posts to your social networking profiles. You can easily use the custom search stream to find relevant videos for posting. I think it needs work but it is heading in a good direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's still clunky and buggy.

Hootsuite isn’t that bad when it comes to pricing.

Hootsuite is a great way to manage all of the content for your social channels in one place. It works across multiple platforms and allows for multiple users to access the account.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one con is the mobile compatibility. I wish it were a little more mobile compatible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were having trouble managing and scheduling all of our social channels - we have 10+ for work. Hootsuite allowed us to manage all of the channels, across multiple platforms, in one place. It also allows us to have coordinators and interns schedule posts and we can review and approve for posting.
