Hootsuite Review
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has been an absolute life saver when it comes to making sure I have enough content scheduled for my social media posts. Not having to sit and wait to post something gives me more time to work on other thing while hootsuite goes ahead and posts my ads for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great program but like anything else in the world, can be a little temperamental. Recently there was some technical difficulties with hootsuite and I lost all posts that were scheduled through hootsuite for the past 2 years. It was all restored but I would have preferred being able to access previous posts under some sort of backup on hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This program has saved me time and allowed me to reach my deadlines for other tasks as I have not needed to focus all of my time on posting constantly. Rather I am able to allocate a couple hours on a Monday and schedule all posts for the week, I have realized that without hootsuite, my job would be a lot more stressful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely suggest using this for anyone in the marketing position!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of the scheduling and seeing all of your platforms on different tabs. Very easy to figure out and use, integrated into all platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had multiple struggles getting reports over the last couple of months. As they switched over platforms to their new scheduler, they've lost data and a month's worth of posts that I had scheduled on Hootsuite. This was a huge problem and there's no way for them to recover what they lost. That was really upsetting and led to heavy conversations with a client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling to multiple platforms. It's been great to be able to keep track of activity on all the platforms from one spot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check in on your scheduled posts just in case they update their scheduler again. If they update that platform, all scheduled posts will be deleted.

I like that you can see all of your social media platforms in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently no where to schedule Instagram stories. Hoping they can update this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves a lot of time for measuring how campaigns are doing.

Try the free versions and see if it is helpful first.

What do you like best about the product?
ease of use and tabs make it very visual for social listening
What do you dislike about the product?
functions are a bit limited when it comes to social listening. with added paid features, it would be nice to have the ability to monitor internet for keywords, not just social networks added

inexpensive enterprise solution for our social needs - tracking our activity and some conversations

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who does a lot of social media posting over multiple platforms, Hootsuite was a great introductory program for me. Integrating FB, IG, and Twitter seamlessly was great for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish you could schedule posts easier on IG. Maybe you can now, but when I was using the product it wasn't an available option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to manage all social media accounts in one solidified area is great!

Watch the online tutorials, they're super helpful in being able to get this implemented in its full effect.
Expensive for what it is
What do you like best about the product?
For up and coming companies, Hootsuite may seem like the end-all, be-all, for social media and network integration and reputation management. It provides a lot of utility, especially within the realm of management. Everything is up front and center and there is very little to do with attempting to understand how different things work. I find this some of the best parts about HootSuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how big it has grown. Customer support has rapidly declined since we utilized Hootsuite, and we have taken a lot of our operations in-house, despite the amount we relied on Hootsuite originally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved so much for us in regards to scheduling. Within our industry, it is almost mandatory to have some type of scheduling created, and Hootsuite completely made it easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fix your customer service, first and foremost. It is imperative for your success, especially with the wide range of clients I know you must have in your company
Best Solution for Our Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite can be buggy, but I still find it's user interface to be the best when it comes to managing corporate social media accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The bulk uploader has issues, but every product I've used has this same problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to have multiple people accessing and posting on our corporate social media accounts, and we have added visibility into our brand across social channels.
Not too bad for free, but a little difficult to navigate.
What do you like best about the product?
It's free! Also, the new content calendar they added is great to see the upcoming posts in a clear way. I can tell if I've overloaded one area or not posted enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program takes a little getting used to - it's not entirely user friendly. Also, it seems like I am re-authenticating accounts often which is understandable once or twice but gets pretty annoying after a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication - seeing what and how often we communicate and having control over that helps us organize what priorities and highlights we draw everyone's attention to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a good option for those needing free social media management. Know that you will be getting a few issues because it's free - however, I can't speak to the paid version.
Social Media Scheduling Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to do cross-channel scheduling for all our brand's posts and not have to worry about when it's going out once it's been scheduled. It posts reliably and on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Instagram isn't included as one of the apps I can schedule to post on. It's almost the perfect tool for managing social media, but this is a big gap in the offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Hootsuite for all of our social media scheduling. It makes executing the calendar we have planned simple and streamlined across social channels.

It's great for scheduling and analytics, but lacks Instagram posting capabilities.
