Easy to Use and Decent Support
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. From setting up initial account and bringing in client accounts, the system walks you through perfectly. Live chat support is very helpful and we use it regularly for help with the occasional glitch to receiving assistance with features we've not yet mastered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom service tickets have been known to get lost in limbo. While this does not happen often, they get a bit dodgy, so just keep replying asking for what's next. They are always kind, but no phone support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has allowed us to streamline labor by automating client social media services. We're able to better post en-mass and monitor online chatter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We compared the cost to time each of our marketers spent logging into each platform to post multiple times a week for a single client. This is well worth the investment, as we see returns quickly. Overall customer service is responsive and human. They regularly roll out new features and always welcome feedback and requests.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like its Content Management capabilities. You can schedule out posts ahead of time and edit things before they post. I also really like the analytics addition that comes with it. It makes my job much easier when it comes to finding trends in the social media world. I also like that it is free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing that really bothered me was the Instagram feature. It was really glitchy when you would schedule a post out. Sometimes my pictures would post and sometimes they would not. You also can't edit your image within Hootsuite before scheduling it out on Instagram.

I was offered a 3 month trial and I can schedule many tweets for promotional purposes
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the website. I don’t think the interface is attractive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to automate tweets which helps me promote my radio station.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite helps you minimize all the juggling of multiple accounts and saves you from being glued to your phone all day just to keep up with engagement and the never-ending cycle of social media. The streams dashboard brings your accounts together in one place so you can easily respond to your audience and schedule posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a pretty steep learning curve. It's important to take the time to use hootsuite's education tools, it's not something you can just login to and easily navigate. The learning time is easily several hours, so it would be nice to have a shorter overview that gives you more of an idea of what you're getting into or how the program can best serve your specific business needs. For me, I ended up going through the entire course and learned more about the program than I had ever expected, but from a time perspective I would've much rather watched a brief overview at least to start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm maintaining a highly personable public voice while keeping an efficient workflow, which I didn't realize would be possible before. It helps me greatly to see all of my different social outlets in one space, especially to keep a consistent image.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As long as you're willing to put the time in to learn the program and how to use it to its fullest potential, it will be worth every penny you spend on it.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows me to manage and schedule social posts, all in one platform. Can also monitor media mentions which is useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to pay and upgrade for full functionality. The free version is pretty limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to schedule social postings, so I don't have do it ad hoc. Saves time.
If you don't pay... features are not there. Would not recommend

Scheduling is easy. Easy to use for multiple account management

Reports are now hidden behind a paywall. It was functional for my staff to use with little knowledge. We are a nonprofit so don't have the funds to pay. Unless you pay, you are better off using another service or investing time to learn Facebook Insights.

Being able to schedule posts is very helpful.

Seems to be good features if you pay. But as a smaller organization with no budget, it is not the best fit for us.
Great social media application
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of adding social media platforms to the application and the ability to be able to view, schedule, post, and interact with the various platforms through the application. It is easy to use and easy to set up. Hootsuite support has always been quick and helpful in times of need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there were more social media platforms that could be added to control from the application. Also, the price isn't overbearing, but is ok.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to work with our various social media platforms from one dashboard. Hootsuite has been a tremendous help with this. The scheduling feature has also been a God-send. Analytics, too!

The best platform for managing multiple social networks
What do you like best about the product?
I love how simple HootSuite makes it to comprehensively manage all of our company's social media accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to manage paid social/promoted posts out of Hootsuite, but I understand that's more a limitation from the social networks than HootSuite itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HootSuite allows us to manage our social media accounts from one centralized location with strong analytics layered on top. The scheduling feature has been awesome, and has really enabled us to scale out our social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HootSuite is definitely worth considering for your social media management and analytics. The platform is super simple to use and is a huge timesaver.

That the videos do not post to Instagram automatically the way they do pictures. And also that it does not resize the photos or videos for different platforms if needed.
