A good social media tool
What do you like best about the product?
Complete set of social media management and analytics tools fit into a tidy, attractive user interface. Affordable. Powerful monitoring. Efficient identification of influencers. Lots of integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Add-ons get expensive quickly. Most powerful features reserved for enterprise plans. Publishing and curation features could be more intuitive.

What do you like best about the product?
A reasonably priced social media tool! You're able to select a plan that best fits your needs, there is a 30-day free trial, supports plenty of social networks, and allows for bulk scheduling!
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other platforms (sendible), it's missing other items like CRM and lead generating tool. But if you're looking purely for social media management, it more than serves its purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are more efficient due to bulk scheduling and it allows us to gain insights on the audience.

Hootsuite is a great social media monitoring and management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Hoostsuite is a great tool to use for analyzing social media engagement and monitoring social media feeds from one centralized location.
The ability to view an inbox, wall/timeline and posts at the same time is genius. Not sure why other tools dont have this.
The all in one dashboard allows you to integrate different profiles as well as inboxes (DMs), walls or timelines, posts and mentions. This was really helpful to have a complete overview from one screen without having to click through multiple screens.
For what its worth, the bulk post uploading feature was helpful especially when trying to schedule content weeks ahead. All you had to do was use the CSV file and upload, very helpful for bulk uploading.

What do you dislike about the product?
Content Scheduling tools were not as great as we expected. For example, uploading an image for a post would sometimes result in a link being posted, not the actual image.
Other features like Social ads did not work for us, when we did use them the results did not pan out as when we used the proprietary ad buying tools for social media networks.
Some of the Hootsuite apps did not work as advertised, it made us feel like they are just afterthoughts and not actual useful apps.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a centralized way to see all our social media accounts and also wanted to be able to upload multiple posts at a given time. Hootsuite allowed us to monitor our social media feeds with a centralized all in one panel that covered both posts, inboxes and mentions across the various social media channels.
This helped us plan our social media marketing better to know where our customers were and what they were saying about us.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are going to use Hootsuite, you may need to use proprietary management tools as well to monitor your social media better. As a social media posting tool, Hootsuite could be better, but it is definitely a good tool for social media monitoring.
Great way to Schedule Social Media
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use on both the paid and the free platforms is well done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version has a bit too many ads, etc making it only a good choice for small bands or companies not ready to really take on the "influencer" level of social media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use hootsuite to schedule posts for my part time small business--I hope to be able to be fulltime with the connections that I make with my target audience by having consistent brand media.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has a lot of perks, but the key highlight for me was that the platform is easy to understand and navigate. It was easy to jump in right away and figure out how to work the platform on the fly. I like the option to choose what sections I see on my dashboard, and the option to edit my dashboard whenever I choose.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like that article pictures were not guaranteed to pull through in the post. It left me looking for some to include last minute. I would prefer to see a preview of every post, but Hootsuite mainly pulls previews of LinkedIn posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heading a public company's social media presence can be very time consuming, and at times, a little stressful. Hootsuite is perfect for easily managing scheduled posts, especially when you feel like there is a lot in the pipeline. Hootsuite allows you to manage all accounts in one location, which makes it easy to plan and schedule posts as far in advance as you'd like. This makes it a lot easier to organize posts, this really helped that I could see the posts going out on each platform side by side before they went live. I love that I can manage and monitor all social media accounts through one platform.

I think Hootsuite is a great option for someone looking to easy organize, monitor and manage multiple social media platforms at once.
User Friendly Social Media Management Program
What do you like best about the product?
I think the best part about Hootesuite is how customizable the program is. It is so easy to get everything that is the most important, all on one screen. The other huge benefit with Hootesuite is that it is cheap! In terms of social media management programs, Hootesuite definitely has the most to offer, at the cheapest price.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one of the things that I struggle with Hootesuite a little bit is the difficulty with seeing notifications. While I can see all of the social media channels that I need on one screen, I do not feel as though the notifications appear easy enough, I still end up having Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter all open so that I can make sure that I am not missing anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest business problems we are solving with Hootesuite is the current lack of a social media strategy. Hootesuite allows me to get everything that needs to go onto social all in one place and lined up so that I just ensure everything is posted in a timely manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend Hootesuite as a program to use if you don't have much of a budget to spend on social media management. Becuase they have a non-paid version, you can still do a lot of good work in Hootesuite, for very little money. I would say that you should spend the time to learn it, the platform has a lot of capabilities, and if you learn them all you will be able to do a lot with it.
An easy way to keep your social media up to date
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I'm able to update multiple social media platforms at one time, while still being able to tweak each update as needed. For example, I can add hashtags to Instagram posts. Shorten a post for Twitter.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface to be a bit messy compared to other products. The most important part of the app, creating new posts, is squeezed into a pop-up window that sits along the top of the browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping social media account up to date to connect with customers, without having to think about it every day. I can sit down one day and plan posts for the week ahead.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is great for updating multiple platforms at a time, but if you're focusing on one platform I think there are better solutions available. For example, Later is great for planning Instagram posts. It let's you see how your feed will look with the schedule post so not only can you schedule posts... you can 'art direct' your entire feed.
Very useful for social media engagement, could use more features for certain platforms
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I'm able to see all my organization's social media accounts in one dashboard. I can manage real-time messages and activity from Facebook and Twitter. I find it very useful that more than one user can use the platform, and there's definite accountability (resolving, assigning) and the option to leave notes for a seamless experience for both user and customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the tagging feature because tags do not save *until* you click save - to elaborate, sometimes I tend to click out of the dialogue box by accident which loses all the tags I've added, because I didn't click save. Happens more often than I'd like because the box can be small. I do not like that Instagram does not have all the features I need to be more engaged with my audience. (i.e. liking posts that you are #tagged in.) Facebook tab needs to integrate streams with "Reviews/Recommendations/etc." I think for each platform, a list of notifications as a stream wouldn't hurt. It's nice to have a list of activity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has given our organization an additional platform for service. We have e-mail, phone, and in-person/front line service. But Hootsuite allows us to also help people in realtime on social media. Although we can open each social media website and manage each one individually, Hootsuite allows us to multi-task and manage multiple social media platforms in one.
Great time saver for multiple social media posting.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the lay out is user friendly and self explanatory. I also like that it has a familiar interface to other social media platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the default watermark "sent/made with Hootsuite" I'm sure there is a way to turn that off, its just an annoying extra, however, advertising is important, so I understand why they to it. Certainly not a deal-breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to schedule Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts an promotions at specific times, all in one sitting. Time. Hootsuite solves ongoing time issues.
