A great tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage streams make reputation management easy. The support that we have had from our reps and general support has been outstanding. I have run into multiple issues with Facebook's platform but I can always use Hootsuite as a workaround to those issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mentions can get lost along the line and only found through other listening tools. I've found tags through Hootsuite Insights that should be pulling into one of our established streams but for one reason or another, they simply don't. The sentiment scoring can be a nightmare. If it incorrectly assigns the wrong sentiment to a tweet (which happens often) and then the tweet is retweeted a thousand times, you would have to manually change the sentiment on every retweet to correct your metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online reputation management and social media listening.

Hootsuite is definitely worth exploring

  • May 08, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite Hootsuite feature is the ability to auto-publish to Instagram. This is not a feature that is available on all social media management platforms so it definitely puts Hootsuite as a top runner in my opinion. I also think their pricing is very reasonable in comparison to similar platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the planning tool for Instagram. I would prefer a grid that emulates the look of Instagram which would allow me to drag and drop photos onto my grid so I can create a strong visual strategy. Overall, I don't know if I like the layout of the platform. It is easy to use, but doesn't have a very high-end feel which is appealing to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HootSuite allows me to put my social media on autopilot. This is beneficial because it's easy to forget to post to social media, and Hootsuite allows me to set it and forget it. They also have great analytic insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you aren't sure if Hootsuite is the right choice for you, I definitely recommend signing up for a free trial and exploring the features they offer. Overall, it's a very good platform.

A Social Marketing Staple, but Can Be Confusing

  • May 07, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Enabling a person or business to effectively manage their content and engagement across multiple platforms from one dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be confusing to use, and I have accidentally billed for the wrong package once or twice, so the quality control seems a little sloppy (that might just be my experience though).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Freeing up time, organizing a clear content strategy, and effectively managing engagement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Customize your dashboard to best fit your social needs!

Simple to use but features and reporting need to be updated

  • May 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is fairly simple to use, which is great for people less experienced with social media management. I like the ability to see a number of streams from each social network at once, and the 'New Post' feature makes it easy to draft your next post while seeing what it's going to look like on someone's screen once posted.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of features need updating. The 'New Post' feature doesn't allow multiple photo uploads, you can only see likes on your Facebook posts and not reactions, and the platform in general feels clunky to me. The one other thing I haven't been impressed with is Hootsuite's reporting. It doesn't give me enough value to warrant the money I'm paying for reports... I could do the same reporting by just going into Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and viewing the analytics. This is the biggest downside for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the ability to see multiple streams at once, we've been able to realize that one specific area of content for us is getting way more engagement in terms of messages, responses, shares, comments, etc.

Great way to set up social media presence

  • May 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoyed that you could devote time to setting you your social media and then walk away and focus on other tasks. You could set up a tweet for later so you could actually get your work done and not be chained to social media responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes found it to be a bit confusing and not always user friendly, however each update provided relief to those things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed us to have a great social media content, but allowed us to do our day to day jobs as well. It also made it possible to stay under budget with hours and having to hire a social media coordinator

Terrific Social Media Management System

  • April 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule posts, track influencers, have multiple streams for different platforms, and manage multiple dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all its different benefits, Hootsuite can become difficult to figure out and setting up streams is quite a process sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to post multiple times on different platforms––we just have one post and it goes on multiple channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You'll need the pro version to unlock all its benefits, but it's worth it.

A Great Way to Start Off or Grow!

  • April 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about HootSuite is the ability to post the same message across multiple platforms simultaneously. As a small nonprofit without much money for marketing, using 3 social media platforms for free is really all we need at this point in time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the recent privacy concerns related to Facebook, HootSuite doesn't allow pages to be tagged anymore. It's a hassle because I then have to go back through posts and tag them when I didn't have to before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A business problem that I've solved with HootSuite is making sure all the posts go out to all the social media platforms we use. Nothing gets left out or unnecessarily duplicated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely give HootSuite a try if you're looking for a great way to implement and monitor social media.
