Hootsuite saves me time and aggrevation every day in so many ways!

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows for the integration of separate platforms and gives me the ability to plan and set up posts all at one time. No separate logins or switching screens. Everything is on one screen. I can also openup and see what has been scheduled out and check posts or change posts after they are scheduled easily and efficiently. Now Hootsuite can also publish directly to Instagram!
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve was difficult. The tutorials were great but I couldn't seem to find my specific questions so I would have to watch a whole video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has helped to speed up workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! Hootsuite was definitely an answer to the complicated world of scheduling social media posts effectively.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Hootsuite is a leader in their space, they always get access to new integrations and features which makes it incredibly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is lacking on features. The assignments feature is completely missing in the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to collaborate with multiple teams across the US seamlessly is something that Hootsuite has made incredibly easy. I also love the ability to set up feeds to monitor key search terms or users, and that the IG repost feature is built-in as UGC is a lot of our content.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it easy to monitor and post to social platforms, is very user friendly and simple to understand. They keep up with evolving platforms and changes, in addition to having a blog that is very resourceful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that when scheduling posts Hootsuite can be glitchy, certain user tags will not link or posts will not go live at scheduled times.

Mostly I think Hootsuite helps with scheduling, it allows you to schedule your content and not have to worry about it. This is especially useful on weekends or busy days.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is great for managing all your social channels from one convenient place. The best part about it is having everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite is extremely clunky in terms of the actual platform. It can run slowly and is not the best for posting unique content to various channels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s allowed us to easily monitor our social channels and competitors.

It gets the job done, but it's not exactly intuitive

What do you like best about the product?
I like that It is easy to schedule posts for all of my social platforms. I like that is shrinks my links for me and that it gives me a character count down for each of the platforms I've selected so that i know when I've reached their max. I like the ability to customize tabs and dashboards with streams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I very much dislike that support is so difficult to get in touch with. You have to submit a form or tweet them.... and don't expect a response within 24 hours. Which means if they don't understand your question the first time you ask.... you're looking at several days before you get the help you need. My specific experience, I set up my account logging in through Facebook so it assigned an invalid email to my profile. It took about 3 days of sending a message and waiting for a response before Support was finally clear on my VERY simple ask "to update my account email from ___ to ___". Then instead of updating my current accounts information, he created a new account with my email ..... :( So there was more back and forth to follow to get that cleared up.

I also don't like that certain streams and features are only available for twitter. For example, I love that I can set up a stream to see my new twitter followers, or any mentions on twitter. But I'd like to do that for my Facebook and LinnkedIn, especially since the accounts I manage are company accounts. I'm not sure if it's a restriction with the social platforms, or if Hootsuites has a special deal with twitter, but it's maddening. It's also not obvious that certain features are not available. You have to dig and search, and ask the help center, and dig some more before you come to the conclusion, that it's probably not possible.

Another point of frustration is their "apps" for integrations. I tried to install their free app for Slack. It told me that I didn't have permission since I wasn't a slack admin and to send a message to one of the admins. That afternoon me and the admin followed the instructions to look for the Hootsuite app to install inside of slack.... and it did not exist. I'm guessing this is another one of those features that they don't make explicit is how to use it. So after wasting way too much time trying to figure it out.... we decided to use Zapier for integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me time on scheduling and managing my social posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't login using a facebook or social account to create your profile. If your username is not a valid email address... it's a nightmare trying to update that information in your profile.

Hootsuite is good for teams, not so good for soloprenuers

  • April 18, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to connect multiple users to multiple social media business accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to input data for distribution to multiple social media accounts is more than if you just posted/scheduled to each account separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've not found Hootsuite to be particularly helpful as I am a solopreneur. I used it for some time and decided not to continue using it. However, another company I have worked for used Hootsuite and it was helpful as a collaboration tool.

Great for both sales and marketing team

  • April 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is mostly used by marketing managers, although in our team sales managers are using Hootsuite too. The platform has a very good analytics that gives me a lot of insights about our customers, their preferences, time when they are online etc. It helps to improve my communication with current and potential customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
They do not have a decent lead generation feature. It'd be great if I could add registration or purchase button (not just link) in our posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning more about our customers behavior and preferences
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the Hootsuite not just for automated social media posting, but also as an analytic tool

Accessibility made easy!

  • April 15, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Success in monitoring social media accounts, improving your presence, tracking preferences and providing valuable contribution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expense if you choose to go past the free url option, and expensive for teams to open a level together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By tracking your social accounts, you can hear directly from consumers about what they like or dislike about your product or service, which can give you information on how you might improve. Being part of the conversation on social media can give you an edge because you're talking with your customers and learning from them, instead of guessing at what they want.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stick with it !
