Easy to use. However, will not post Instagram content
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the software makes it very attractive to any company with a digital presence. Also, it is the most affordable CMS I found.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will not schedule posts on Instagram. This is truly annoying as this social media platform is a huge gateway to the younger generation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am scheduling social media posts to keep our followers up to date.
Perfect for direct sales!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can see all platforms in one area and I can edit current and future posts right there. I mainly use it to post to my Facebook group and get my customers engaged. It is always refreshing, so you can quickly see when customers comment, like, or share your posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the posting area at the top was a little more user friendly. I have often times posted something I meant to schedule because I hit the enter button. Another problem is not being able to start another paragraph or separate your text because the enter button will send your post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a problem remembering to post pictures or posts to my Facebook group wall, and being able to schedule my posts and not have to worry about it is great for a working mom like me. Constant posting is key when it comes to Facebook's new algorithms, and Hootsuite is how to stay active and consistent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This site is great. It takes some getting used to, but it's capable of a lot. It's perfect for direct sales businesses, and helps getting your customers intrigued and involved. You can also run reports, and give assignments, which is key when it comes to teams.

Pay for a subscription - the free subscription is not worth it - the capacity is so limited

Nicely priced. Comprehensive monitoring. Good influencer identification and engagement tool set. Extensive integrations.

Most advanced functionality reserved for enterprise plans. Publishing and content curation could be smoother and more intuitive.

Using Hootsuite to handle social media accounts
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it can post to all my social media accounts in one spot. I like the scheduler and the analytics, this way I can track which is most popular or most clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Instagram connection. I can’t get it to authenticate where it can post automatically like Facebook and twitter, I literally have to wait for a notification and then select to approve it again, then it sent to Instagram and my caption doesn’t carry over, so I have to write it again.

Time saving, this allows us to save time posting to social media and to manage the accounts.
Good product, some strage glitches
What do you like best about the product?
I love the bulk uploader, which unfortunately is a paid service. Still attempting to decide if it worth the $20 a month just for that feature...
What do you dislike about the product?
The entire program has weird user-unfriendly glitches. For exmaple, if my tweet is too long, it will not upload any of the other tweens - but not tell me what the issue is so I can fix it and re-upload. Sometimes the weblinks don't upload either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I crosspost on FB and Twitter with the occasional Linkedin thrown in. This tool allows me to relatively easily so all my social media planning and scheduling a week in advance, which is great.

Really, it's worth a try - even the free version is a great tool.
Saving time with content marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I love the bulk composer that I have just started using - it is an incredible time saver! I am looking forward to exploring Hootsuite boost as well which is a new function.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike Hootsuite’s inability to work directly with Pinterest and instagram. I needed to download a chrome extension (tailwind) and for instagram I need to be on my phone at the exact time of post and self publish all Instagram posts, making me feel like I am always on-call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Growing an audience, checking out what content works and what doesn’t, also it is a quick way to see who is retweeting and tagging you as Hootsuite is quick to notify me when I’ve been mentioned.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to schedule posts in advance. You can also create "streams" to see different pieces of information, such as all mentions of your Twitter handle, or all posts you have scheduled.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything I dislike about this program. I guess I would say I would like to be able to post directly to Instagram with Hootsuite, but I know the issue is with Instagram ans what they allow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you are the only one at your organization doing social media, then it can be tricky to ensure that all of your platforms get regular posts. With Hootsuite I can make posts days ahead of time, so that I am prepared for times when I am too busy or out of the office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be aware that if you use this to post to Instagram, you will still need a mobile device to make the post. What Hootsuite does is create the post and send it to your device (on the scheduled day). But then you still need to make a final click from your device to make the post go live. This is due to restrictions that Instagram has in their API that prevents making posts through a non-mobile device.
Also, be aware that Facebook already has a feature that allows you to schedule posts in advance. Just start typing the post, and instead of clicking "Publish," click the arrow next to it, and select "Schedule."

Social media dashboard made simple
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite gives you a bird's eye view of your social media activities in one customizable view from feed to mentions to scheduled posts. You can manage your publication by selecting the channel, composing the content, and setting the date and time for it to go live. You can even interact with your fans / followers via the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I don't like about the app.

Just being able to manage multiple social media accounts within one app is very helpful.

Hootsuite's free account provides someone new at this enough functionalities to sharpen his / her skillsets managing one or multiple social media account. Furthermore, Hootsuite training resource is a treasure trove for someone who is passionate about continual learning.
My Go-To for Social Media Management
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to use Hootsuite for managing all of my clients' accounts in one place, streamlining my workload and saving time. The streams feature allows me to monitor the engagement and activity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see them add an automatic preview feature for Twitter.
