Good tool for organizing and scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar feature where you can plan and schedule a social media campaign and see it all in one place. Also the fact that there is a free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
I gets a bit confusing when multiple users are placing posts on the same calendar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now able to be more consistent with our posting and see where we have holes in the schedule which should be filled.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free version if you have just a few social sites and then expand to the paid version as needed.
Pretty good for a free system
What do you like best about the product?
It provides a quick and easy way for me to track Twitter mentions of both my company and my competitors, from a single view.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a company that doesn't have a huge social media presence, Hootsuite's free version really does anything that you need it to do. I was previously a bit annoyed that its short URLs were getting longer, but now Twitter has upped its character limit, it's less of a concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines the process of social media tracking and competitive intelligence.

the extension of Hootlet for the ease to share and program content that is in the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to post directly on Instagram from Hootsuite.

It helps me publish a lot of content on various social networks, without the need to log in at all.

Useful, but can be difficult to understand
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, Hootsuite is very useful if you are controlling multiple social media platforms at once. It makes it convenient to manage Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc in one place rather than switching between all the platforms to post content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can be a bit complicated to understand and get the hang of. Currently I am still trying to get the best grasp on the program, but with anything practice makes perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem I have solved is not being able to schedule post for Instagram. Although I still have to log in and manually post the content anyways, unlike Facebook, it has made it easier so I do not have to create the content when it needs to be posted, I can just go in and post.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to put in enough effort to get familiar with the program so you can best utilize it to the full potential it has.

What do you like best about the product?
What we like the best about Hootsuite is that it it is an easy to use platform. I especially like that does not over complicate the process. This certainly makes it better for our people to understand. They are able to quickly adopt the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
What we dislike about Hootsuite is that in some cases there are limited capabilities. It would be great to have more even more tracking available for our posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that we are solving with Hootsuite is ability to plan out social media posts without having to attend to it every day. This saves significant time for our administrators. It also helps us strategically plan content. We also love the analytics feature, although we believe it could be more comprehensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend to others considering Hootsuite to make sure that they are conscious of the implementation. It is important to get it set up right the first time. I would also encourage them to explore more of the analytics side, as this can be very very valuable for a business.
One thing for Hootsuite to consider for their future strategy is having an algorithm that suggests future content or searches through the Twitter or LinkedIn platform for content that relates to the content and thematic that the company itself is portraying.
It would be great to also add in a service to consult and help the company improve their posts!

Save time and get the word out
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and saves so much time.
I would have never been able to have a preserve over the Christmas holidays if it wasn't for Hootsuite.
I was able to plan all of my posts before leaving for vacation and had no attention whatsoever on my internet presence because I know it was handled.

What do you dislike about the product?
Instagram sometimes has some bugs.
From time to time when I get the notice on my phone to post it doesn't include the hashtags that were programmed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was the only way I was able to figure out how to post things to instagram without having the picture on my phone but rather something I had prepared using Canva.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to double check before hitting send for something that is scheduled and not sent right away.
I have prepared things in the evening for a week in advance and although I wanted them to go out in the morning some were sent in the evening due to my oversight.

Helpful but paid is pricey

It's really simple to use and the scheduling tools are great

It's not very user friendly with the reports. you can get better reports in the social media accounts

we use it to mass schedule posts in advance. It saves time in the log run.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to schedule posts across our 3 platforms hours/days in advance. I also like being able to see content on all 3 platforms at once to review communications, see mentions and interactions, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I schedule a post, I can't edit it without deleting it and re-doing it. Sometimes, I want my intern to schedule things, but I need option to make revisions just in case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to schedule social media ahead of time is a time saver and monitoring multiple platforms in one place is more effective.

It's free and has the features I need for managing a social media program for a medium size nonprofit.

I love HootSuite because it allows me to manage social media on my time. No need to be strapped to your computer or phone.

I love the posting feature. Sometimes I may lose track of time, but this app has it covered.

It's difficult to find anything negative.

Definitely the scheduling. I am busy running meetings, going to meetings, researching, that I may loose track of time. This app has you covered.
