Easily Manage Your Social Accounts and View Many Streams
What do you like best about the product?
Can easily post on multiple channels at once. I also like the ability to set up many streams to view news / social media feeds based on my select topics / categories.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little clunky to set up out of the box. Have also had a few LinkedIn and Instagram integration issues from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have many streams of Facebook and Twitter users to help keep track of what's going on in different categories. It's a great reference to keep in touch. It's also easy to post on multiple channels at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out Buffer to see if you like their interface better. I prefer Hootsuite but other colleagues prefer Buffer.

Hootsuite is very user-friendly and the team makes an effort to assist and improve your analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't something they can change, but automatic posting to Instagram would be so helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frequent social media posting. It helps so much with engagement.

Definitely consider similar products to make sure you'll get the most use out of their features.
Great Tool For Organizing Posts on Facebook and Twitter - Not So Great for Instagram
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to use and intuitive software with some great options for scheduling and organizing posts. The auto scheduler feature is great and means that I don't have to worry too much about what time I should be posting content - it takes a lot of the guesswork out of the equation. Using this for a small Nonprofit was perfect, although when putting together campaigns for larger agencies and companies, I tended to go with Facebook itself due to the insights they offer. Regardless, great software to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instagram functionality is pointless. Instagram is one of the biggest social networks for some of my clients and is hugely influential when it comes to boosting awareness and building audiences. I know that Hootsuite can't really properly interface with Instagram because of its mobile nature, but this made working on campaigns awkward.

Creating social media content calendars and schedules, as well as being able to schedule posts on multiple social media accounts from one location - great for international clients.

Great if you want to create and manage social media content for Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter - not so great for Instagram.
Solid Social Media Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
This serves as a great content calendar for those starting out. I appreciate the fact that you can collaborate with team members so everyone can see your scheduled posts, and you can sync multiple accounts and outlets (Twitter, LinkedIn, Etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the analytic capabilities in the free version offered a little more customization. Ex: The date range for analytics is a small window. I would like to be able to analyze trends over the whole year!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool that allowed multiple people to serve as a social media publisher, but we needed to know when others were posting. This way , there is no overlap. Hootsuite has opened communication, allowed us to plan our content better, and gain insight into what posts do well.

It covers the most popular social media platforms and allows you to schedule quickly across channels

It has some quirks when posting multiple Facebook photos which can be a problem

It allowed me to work for multiple clients using one platform, making my job easier

Notifications and posts sometimes do not integrate between devices. Analytics for Instagram often inaccurate.

Convenient Social Media Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to post to multiple social media accounts from the same platform. I also like to ability to add Media streams to quickly find content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the media streams lack of being able to easily schedule sharing content from other sources. Instead, you must instantly share. However, given that this is a social media platform and that scheduling is an important aspect of social media content building, you should be able to schedule shares rather than only posts that you write.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
East of mangling Facebook and Instagram, as well as finding relavent content for our audience.

If you use more than one social media platform, Hootsuite is for you!

Easy to see scheduled posts - the platform even helps suggests optimal post times
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to see images affiliated with scheduled posts- sometimes posts repeated once scheduled
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifying social media scheduling. I only ever used it on a small team however so I never realized it’s full benefit. More work for me to schedule then worth it in the end.
Detailed But Expensive
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of hootsuite is that you can use multiple profiles of same social media in 1 account. Their blogs are informative. They should keep up with blogging part and keep users updated. Performance monitoring is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don like the pricing, its way to expensive to use. It should have been priced around 800-900 INR. that is approx 8-10 usd. If they bring down pricing, it will be awesome. Set up can be worked upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring my social media has become so easy, i just love it. Finding what my competitors are posting is again very easy, following hashtags is awesome. finding new content has become easy. i hope hootsuite keeps on developing and introducing new features.

Not being able to schedule multiple times for each post; not duplicating posts; the time structure is cumbersome

Saving time by posting simultaneously; one place to view posts, activity and analytics.
