What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can autoschedule posts and post to multiple platforms. It's a great way to manage social media in one place. I also like how you can see the schedule pretty clearly and publishing a post is fairly simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish for the auto schedule feature, that you could potentially auto schedule in advance for the specific day. You can auto schedule for the near future as in a few hours, but it would be nice to schedule it with the given analytics for a day in advance. In addition the interface is just very hard to navigate and is a little confusing. I'm not sure if I'm using it to it's full capacity sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Hootsuite for managing the Facebook and Instagram pages for Epic Movement. It's very helpful in streamlining and managing the social media content in one place. It also is helpful to make sure the same content is fluid in appearing the same on multiple platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a pretty basic way to manage social media, I would recommend Hootsuite. Without direction, it's a little confusing but can be learned fairly quickly. It was much easier for someone who understood it to explain it to me firsthand. Especially given the price point for this product, it does the trick. Most of the other options are fairly expensive or have a subscription required- so it just depends on how much you want to invest in it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the hands-off idea of automating social media posts and the analytics that are provided.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't connect all my social media, such as youtube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automates your social media postings so that they go out on a schedule, so you don't have to manually post at certain times. This helps when a post needs to go out outside of business hours or to alleviate the possibility of forgetting to post. It also provides analytics to compare month to month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Connect all your social media streams as soon as possible to make use of the analytics. It only tracks when they're connected.

My own tweets using a hashtag do not show up in a Twitter based search on Hootsuite.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease with which you can post the same content to several platforms. It saves me time in posting content. It also makes moderation easy as it combines all of your direct messages into one easy to use dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to customize content to the different platforms. It makes it very easy to blast out the same message on a variety of sites, but not the ability to tailor it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time putting content on multiple sites. Number of mentions shows easily, as does the sentiment rating for my brand. It makes it easy to understand on a comprehensive, overall level, how I am doing with respect to customer sentiment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it's a great software for a beginning social media team. It is limited in some of its core feature functionality - in that it helps you post to multiple platforms at once, but isn't great for tailoring your message between the platforms. It is terrific if you are just trying to get a bunch of content out there, but also kind of looks lazy from a brand perspective, so I would be careful about overposting the same content onto multiple platforms. The analytics are useful and it makes managing your customer service easier than if you were doing it manually (i.e., logging into each site one by one and helping out customers that way.)

What do you like best about the product?
Their individual management platform is probably the best value on the market. They have so much functionality and the cost is very reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their enterprise version or agency management (which is the main reason I was looking into them and using them) is not good. It is not organized and does not make managing a bunch of accounts any easier or faster. Also, there is no Facebook ad spend management which I think is a major miss at this very much "pay to play" time we are in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great way for a community manager to stay organized if they are only working for a single company. If you are managing multiple businesses then there are better content managers out there. The anayltics provided are really nice and are in a good layout.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't sign up for a year. Go monthly at first and give it 2 or 3 months before signing up for a year to get the additional savings. It may be a perfect fit for you or it may not be but it is really hard to tell until you have really used it for a little bit and get a groove.

I definitely love the convenience of scheduling a post ahead of time.

Hootsuite always logs me out of my company's social media accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts ahead of time is a great asset when you are balancing other tasks on your plate and could very well forget to post at the best times.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can quickly schedule posts for Facebook and Twitter, and the auto schedule feature means I don't have to think too hard about when I schedule them for. The browser plug in makes it easy to share an article in seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is confusing and features and settings seem to change often. I haven't figured out yet how to share access to my company's social media pages with a colleague using the account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use hootsuite to manage and monitor my company's social media presence. It speeds up scheduling posts quite a bit and shows how popular my posts/links were.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's useful and easy to start quickly managing a few social media pages, but the advanced features and collaboration tools require a bit of a learning curve.

What do you like best about the product?
What I enjoy most about using hootsuite for my online social media marketing is the ability to use it to schedule multiple posts ahead of time. This allows me to plan and be proactive with my marketing strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it is somewhat difficult to tag pages on different social media accounts and they have to be manually tagged after the post is uploaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allows me to stay ahead of my marketing deadlines and take control of my strategies to save time and prioritize my efforts.
