What do you like best about the product?
Being able to manage social media in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not the most user friendly

Getting pertinent information out on time to fans
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a beautiful platform for free that allows users with little time to submit their social media postings in one place. It's especially useful if you have many events; you can take one day a month and schedule all promotional materials in advance for when you need them to go live.

Excellent social media management & monitoring tool

What do you like best about the product?
Probably the Keyword stream feature -- that you can create a stream based on a keyword you always want to follow. This way you stay current with what's going on around a topic and can bring relevant content quickly to your followers. I also love that I can have multiple streams open (e.g., home, new followers, sent messages, etc.) for one or more Twitter accounts or Facebook pages. On different projects, some of which required me to manage multiple social media handles, this feature came in very handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I always felt that the Automatic scheduler could be better. When scheduling multiple messages in the past, the Automatic Scheduling feature would sometimes schedule them on days far out from the current day, and that's not what I was looking for -- was hoping more for a current-day optimizer. Also, the reports could have been more detailed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Depending on the project, Hootsuite helped me solve different problems. On one of them, it made managing multiple handles efficient and streamlined. On another project, it made connecting with others in a timely way much easier. Building an audience around a specific topic and discovering relevant content that audience cares about was also something easily done with Hootsuite. Also, watching specifically what new followers were posting about was something valuable that was a possibility through Hootsuite.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very user-friendly and so it is easy to not only learn yourself but to teach others
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need any technical support or customer service, it isn't that easy to reach someone. It is through a ticket process and yes, when complete, my questions were answered but it seems like its a lot of leg work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reaching out on social media via various platforms in just one post and one program. It does make it very nice to be able to customized your posts and send out to all the platforms without having to go to the individual social sites.

Pushing the same post to multiple social streams; tracking mentions, trends, etc. via single-pane-of-glass interface; post scheduling and reporting

UI/X can be clunky at times, especially for navigation

social media marketing: we've had to navigate multiple social media streams due to acquisitions, and Hootsuite has made it easy to get our content and messaging out across those channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's worth paying to have as many social accounts as you need to manage. The real value of this tool is a single-pane-of-glass view of all your social activities.

What do you like best about the product?
I love scheduling posts over the multiple social media pages I maintain for multiple companies. It makes posting a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the teams function was more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am now able to schedule multiple posts at a time for multiple companies at a time which saves me so much time!

Convenient Social Media Scheduler

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite works for multiple social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. It also collects good metrics, although some of them you have to pay for rather than just using the free option.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all of the analytic reports are available for free. Also, while the platform is compatible with Instagram at the time I was using it, Hootsuite wouldn't post to Insta, but would sent you a notification when you had scheduled one and you would have to still manually post to Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite makes it easy to schedule posts on Facebook and Twitter. Plus, the analytics are good. You do have to use their shortener rather than your own, but I' not sure if you can use your own preferred short links for tracking.

What do you like best about the product?
I liked that Hootsuite provided a single place for managing several social media platforms and messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found myself using it less when Facebook made so many rapid changes that Hootsuite just wasn't keeping up with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Originally I was solving the problem of having a lot of social media channels across a global enterprise to manage among many people. At first, it was very helpful in this regard, but there wasn't as much will within the organization to use it as much and as often as I had hoped. People began to adopt other tools that met more specialized needs. Others opted to use each social platform's native controls individually rather than through Hootsuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a top-down analysis of what Hootsuite provides in the way of the most current capabilities of each platform's native administration and publishing tools. If you find the tradeoff of less functionality compared to the ease of publishing to multiple streams at once to be acceptable, then go for it. Otherwise, try other solutions.

Beta is Better than Before for Hootsuite

What do you like best about the product?
The new Beta bulk message uploader has made it much easier for me to work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still a guessing game about when it comes to the character count for a tweet being accepted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The beta allows me to include images in our tweets, which substantially raises their effectiveness. Even in just a week or so of using it we've seen a spike in our Twitter analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use the new Beta features and functions.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite works great for scheduling out posts in advance and allows us to look at all the important activity on the accounts that we help manage on one dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am disappointed that scheduling for certain social media platforms has not been fully integrated into the program yet. These either require additional apps or manual posting (with saved drafts and reminders).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do most of my scheduling and overall-monitoring of social media accounts through Hootsuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is great for most social media platforms. If you are doing a lot of work with Pinterest, please be aware this will require another app, called Tailwind, which adds to the cost.
