Best social media scheduler
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is amazing for scheduling social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Super convenient to use and self explanatory. If you are only managing one account, it is free! I also like it for managing hashtags, it make it simple to track trending hashtags an other accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The character count on Twitter took awhile to be updated and sometimes it reverts back to the default of Facebook so when you are trying to tag a profile it can be a bit annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me pre-schedule social media posts, so don't have to manually post. Very helpful.
Good Social Media Scheduling and Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I do think that Hootsuite is great for monitoring and scheduling social media posts. However, as of 12/28 - do keep in mind that the scheduler can be buggy at times and overall the dashboard can be laggy and slow. They have a composer in beta but it's very buggy as well and doesn't allow you to auto schedule posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard can be sluggish and slow at times. Also, with the $20 a month plan - you don't get most of the customized reporting. You have to upgrade for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to monitor for brand mentions and keywords - that is very helpful and easy to setup in Hootsuite. The scheduling, when it isn't buggy or the composer is slow to respond, is good enough.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unfortunately, there isn't one social media tool that does it all - but Hootsuite is good for monitoring and scheduling. If you upgrade, I'm sure the reporting is great. However, it's been very laggy and slow for me when using the dashboard and the customer service is atrocious.
Easy social media management, even for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
I work in a client facing field and manage social for multiple companies. Hootsuite offers many of the same management options as similar platforms, but I have found their reporting tools to be superior. It’s easy to explain to a client what works and what does not and back it up with data. Reporting can be delivered in whatever way is best for the client, weekely, monthly, etc. that flexibility is extremely important to me, and highly beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
More of a complain about IG, not HS, but direct posting to IG is not supported. This is a bummer, as it means someone always has to do some work on holidays, but is no fault of HS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Largely, reporting and post scheduling. There are many other features of the platform that we do not utalize, but I’ve heard great things about.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We ended up using Sprout social because of really expert customer service and a very evident drive to improve the platform. But, we were also happy with Hoostuite. The introduction of Partners into Sprout lead us to switch, however.
Great scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Hootsuite is being able to plan my content for the month all in one day. It's easy to use and makes the entire process extremely simple. I love that I can see all of my social media profiles in one account.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing that I don't like about Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was taking way too much time to plan out my social media strategy. Hootsuite has allowed me to simplify that into one day a month.
Great tool for a small team
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to not only manage all of our social networks in one place, but also build streams for keywords, lists, messages and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't much about it I don't like! I guess the limitations on how Facebook and LinkedIn are linked via a private account rather than a company page. But that's really has to do with how the networks are set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small Marketing team and wear many hats, so the person who manages Social Media needs to be able to schedule messages and do some social media monitoring quickly and easily.
Mission Control For Your Social Media Deployment
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can view a dashboard of my entire social media platform (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that my scheduled Instagram posts still have to be activated via my smartphone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of reaching our customers through their social media timelines. I realized that by using Hootsuite, I can target and create my social media content along the same lines as a media buy.
Efficient Social Media Tool
What do you like best about the product?
A platform that connects with numerous social media outlets so you can schedule content in one place. Also is nice to be able to use for multiple accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could use an upgrade as it is outdated. Would be beneficial it was more useful for social media following and interacting, but it is difficult to utilize for that purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A centralized place where all team members can see what content is scheduled on what platform and when it is scheduled. This tool helps us save time and is easy to use.

Convenient software for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to view posts in publishing mode, it helps me visualize when I should be scheduling posts

I wish that there was a better way to do approval for posts

Hoot suite is a great way to manage and monitor social media, it is very helpful especially when monitoring mentions and topics in order to keep afloat of what’s going on

A good platform to use for a basic user- not a lot of bells and whistles but it gets the job done!
Simplifying the social media madness!
What do you like best about the product?
Monitoring multiple social media channels can be confusing at best and frustrating at worst. Having everything in one place, being able to schedule posts when I know I'll be away from the office and using this as a management platform makes my job so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many complaints, although I do have trouble with some social feeds getting "bumped off," and I have to reconnect, which is sometimes confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier management of all social platforms; scheduling feature allows me to work ahead.
Useful and versatile, recommended!
What do you like best about the product?
It saves me from spending hours using each social media account on their own respective platform. Very simple and intuitive layout.

I don't have any major criticism although I do wish Facebook compatibility would be improved.

Social Media management is no longer a nightmare. I can spend my time working on more productive tasks.

Make sure to spend fifteen minutes or so exploring its layout before making regrettable decisions.
