Hootsuite is a great social management app
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that the feed feature. When using Twitter in particular this really helps me track relevant tweets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of the interface. It can be a bit difficult to get a grasp on. Buffer, for instance, has a much easier interface to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solved the issues that come with tracking social media accounts closely for our clients. Having an interface where all our social accounts are in one place is ideal.
Just okay
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that you could schedule things for multiple accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I thought the UI was a little unorganized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Schedule posts. Definitely helps to save time by scheduling rather than just posting as you go. Helps if you have clients too because you can link multiple accounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth using for scheduling.
The convenience of Hootsuite
What do you like best about the product?
This is a convenient way to distribute information to all of your social media accounts from one place
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of one thing I dislike. It is just convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having to login or open a page for every social media account. It makes the process of posting quicker. Also you can view all from one location.
Easy to schedule communications
What do you like best about the product?
You can track different things easily e.g your company name being mentioned or a popular theme of discussion
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some scheduling errors but these are easily fixed as you are notified by email
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can schedule weeks ahead so we do not need someone actively posting on social media every day and this has freed up time for other activities within the business
It's so close... but still clunky and buggy.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea behind Hootsuite, and it still appears to be the only software out there that is able to
What do you dislike about the product?
The software bugs out. A lot. It can make usability frustrating, and unfortunately, that can add up time when it's supposed to be saving time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to schedule ourselves weeks out for social media posting. It's extremely helpful, particularly around the busy season / holiday time when we need to be generating editorial content and original content at a pace that keeps up with our subscriber base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just be patient with it. After you get used to the buginess of the software, it can be quite useful in implementing cohesive social media engagement and endurance.
A decent deck for multi-platform social media
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Hootsuite is the way you can manage a few different accounts for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Scheduling posts across platforms is time intensive but Hootsuite makes it manageable to have all your social media accounts organized with custom keywords
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the functionality for the connections between your users, namely the process to link the accounts together. Also, the format when posting across platforms is a little too abrasive (you can tell somebody is using hootsuite when you see a post of it)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a user with less than 100 followers, this won't be your app. This is meant for big social media organization. With manageable amounts of followers <1000, you're better off managing each separate account.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have the need to get your social media pages linked together, this is your introductory application. Best for users with multi-thousand followers or with ambition to get there.
The ultimate social media management system!
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is one of the best ways to manage your social media. Not only is a great place to manage your different social media platforms but it is has online training to teach you how to become a more effective social media marketer. Hootsuite is kind of like a one stop shop when you are looking to manage a brand's social media platforms. You can schedule posts ahead of time for different platforms and use the calendar in-app to view how often you are posting. It is a great way to stay organized when creating and curating content. It also allows you to see different streams that you can follow. You can see when someone mentions your account or see accounts that you want to closely follow if they post great content that you can share. There are many fantastic uses for Hootsuite. You can even check your social media analytics through the dashboard which makes it easier than going to the different platforms themselves - although there is still value in going to the different platforms). If you have a team operating on the social media platform, you can have people put posts through for evaluation before posting and assign different tasks to different people. So, if you have a person make a complaint through social media you can assign that complaint to someone and then they can deal with it. You can also create standard replies for typical questions that can be edited or personalized before responding.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main things I dislike is that because of the way Twitter is set up you can't really create a post for both Twitter and Facebook. Even though the platforms are different and often target a different audience, you might want to create one post that would go to both Facebook and Twitter. However, with the Facebook Hootsuite can generate a link preview, which isn't a thing for Twitter. So with Twitter you would want to post a picture to go with your message to grab attention. Because of this, you cannot create a post for both Facebook and Twitter. Although, you can initially create the same post but you would have to go to the Twitter post before it is posted and edit the post to add in the photo. That's probably the easiest way to do it. I also don't like that if I'm going to post a video it doesn't always provide the link preview when posting. It seems to be a bit of a hit and miss. I usually opt to post videos in live time, which can be hard if I'm not really available at the time I want the video posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to sit down one day a week and plan and schedule out posts for my social media platforms for that entire week. This allows me to focus on other things and not have to worry if it's almost the optimal time to post and getting ready to send things out. I can plan it and walk away. So much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will make your posting to different platforms easier and it helps you get a view from above to see who's saying what and even glean sentiment for your brand. It will make life so much easier!
Hootsuite is an excellent social media tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to manage and monitor numerous client accounts and social platforms. I also appreciate the clear, east-to-use layout and numerous publishing options. It makes the social world more manageable and measurable. I can manage all the profiles from one dashboard and am able to preschedule and automate content which is then measured with analytics. The team settings are also a fabulous help as multiple people can contribute and all be on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite seems to be the most comprehensive social media tool that I have used so far. It also tends to be the most popular. It was a bit annoying to use the Instagram feature of the app at times - as it send you a notification to your phone and then you have to crop the image and manually post from your phone. It's not a huge inconvenience, but would be nice if there was an easier way to preschedule Instagram posts and then just have them publish on their own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Hootsuite in multiple different capacities through the past few years. Most recently, I use it to run our corporate accounts and preschedule multiple different social platforms to publish content. Previously, I utilized it at a boutique PR firm to work on multiple different clients. Using the same dashboard, I was able to create, monitor, schedule, and analyze posts for various clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! And utilize all the aspects of it. Dig deeper than just scheduling and look closer into media monitoring and analyzing tools that are available.
I love Hootsuite!
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it easy to post, manage and schedule content from all of our social media channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that when posting on the company Instagram account, I have to do it manually from my own phone, and Hootsuite sends a prompt. This can be frustrating during vacations and on the weekends.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problem of worrying about missing content or forgetting to post, because it makes it easy to pre-schedule content and plan everything out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a fantastic one-stop shop for social media management and planning. It is nice to have everything in one place without having to bounce between platforms or management tools. Highly recommended!
hootsuite hads been my go-to for years
What do you like best about the product?
I like that its easy to navigate, its straight to the point and that youre able to have multiple windows open at once
What do you dislike about the product?
i wish the tracking and analytics were more in depth
