very straightforward social media management

What do you like best about the product?
I like that its free version is fairly powerful and versatile for the big three social media platforms, instagram, facebook and twitter. you can schedule posts in decently sophisticated ways, and its mobile app works well in concert with this too.
What do you dislike about the product?
probably the biggest issue is that instagram does not allow it to be fully integrated into hootsuite, and so you have to do a workaround to post on instagram from your phone when posting, using the instagram app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
schedule, organization of social media posts. It's actually a real time saver if used consistently and committed to for small business owners for whom regular social media engagement can sometimes be an afterthought but it is so important. Also nice to get streams of mentions, likes, reposts etc. through the main hootsuite dashboard so you can monitor your social media presence and environment in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up posts to be scheduled across various social media platforms is easy to do and reliable. Supports most social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+, Wordpress and Youtube.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to have good internet streaming... sometimes when wifi is low signal I have a hard time accessing my streams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to save time by pre-populating posts and not having to log into various accounts to do so.

Makes posting to social media channels easy

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to post to all our main social media channels at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is rather complex and would be better if the layout was simplified and more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to post to multiple social media channels quickly and not having to login to each account, therefore saving time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will help for sure in managing multiple accounts. May take some learning of the software, but will be useful.

Ease of use. Hootsuite does not have a high barrier to entry.

Good scheduling tool

What do you like best about the product?
I use Hootsuite to schedule tweets for multiple clients. I like that it's simple to use and that you can easily switch between client accounts. I like that you can personalize streams for each account. It's easy to monitor your brand's name using Hootsuite keyword searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any major complaints about this tool. I do find it most helpful for scheduling tweets. I do not use it to schedule instagram posts or facebook posts (although I have in the past). For Facebook, I find it easier to use their built in scheduler than Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's my favorite tool for scheduling tweets, monitoring brand mentions and keywords on twitter, and monitoring many streams at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an easy to use tool to schedule posts on social or monitor brand mentions or keywords, this is a great tool to try. It's affordable and simplistic. I find it quicker and easier to use than other tools I've tried. It does go down from time to time, which is frustrating. I've not used their support so I can't comment on it, but Hootsuite has gotten quicker at fixing issues. It also goes down much less frequently than it did a few years ago. If you haven't tried it in a while give it another shot.

Marketing tool - Necessary or not necessary?

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you are able to schedule out posts and plan different campaigns. It allows you to have specific hashtags that you can be following to make sure you are always engaged.
What do you dislike about the product?
Visually it needs work. With how VISUAL marketing is, you need to be able to plan out and see what each post is going to look like together (particularly with Instagram). They do not have these capabilities currently, which is why we chose to discontinue our subscription with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning and tracking social media. Keeping engaged with our followers and fans is much easier using their dashboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite isn't there yet for me. It needs some work. They have the right idea, so they may be headed in the right direction, but they need to update their visual planning for them to be a true competitor. They are not the only ones in their field who need updating.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. The ability to schedule of of my weekly posts at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is anything. If I had to pick something it would be that I have to convert videos to mp4 to upload them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to make posts in advance, that is the best use of the software for me. It saves me time and effort, I'm able to post something and not have to think about it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's one of the best social media tools out there.

Best Social Media but confusing lately

What do you like best about the product?
They are the leader and really love their software. I have been part of their programs years ago and it's a happy experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lately, They change the pricing, benefits even other programs like their Education turned to University and my students can't access it more due to new changes and limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many problem solved because of their software. I can tech my under program students and use it also to my company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They had limitations right now. But, You can always love it.

A quick way to be on top of social media

What do you like best about the product?
HootSuite puts everything in one place and in a nice interface too, making sure all your social networks are aligned. I like how easy it is to use the software and simple to send out social messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really any solid reporting going on here and I feel as if no matter what you put out on social media, Hootsuite doesn't do much in the way of helping you improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of time was saved working with Hootsuite where we could put all of our social media channels in one place and schedule posts.
