Efficient and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease and practicality of setting up streams; I can follow everyone on my account, and then setup a stream for the people and updates I don't want to miss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still unable to connect to all of my social platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main problem was having to log on and post tweets everyday; although I still log on and monitor/engage daily, I don't have to worry about posting a tweet because I've already scheduled the weeks content using hootsuite.
Great for managing social media!
What do you like best about the product?
It keeps track of all of our social media accounts and helps us schedule our posts during the best times for our audiences. It's free and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything about it and there is really nothing I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can schedule posts, track analytics and keep track of multiple social media accounts.

It's great for facebook and twitter. I love planning posts in advance

It's really frustrating that it does not allow for notifications for instagram (to que posts) on the iphone.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I'm able to preschedule posts in advance, and view upcoming content in an easy-to-view format. I also like that I can pick and choose the feeds that appear (for example, my general feed, hashtags, mentions, etc.). It is helpful when managing multiple social media accounts across a variety of platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if the interface was more intuitive and easy to share with clients. If there was a calendar format that would enable clients to view posts at-a-glance, this would be something that would facilitate better communication and planning with clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a big time saver, as I don't have to worry about physically posting to my accounts daily (Twitter is automated, and even though Instagram isn't posted automatically, having the notification pop-up on my phone with a copy + paste option has been very helpful).

Would highly recommend if you manage social media for clients or simply for high level use.

Difficult to edit posts in the platform and it would often time out when editing for review.

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love that the interface is incredibly easy to use and makes posting to different platforms so convenient. Personally I only use it for Twitter, but being able to schedule multiple posts makes my job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it if it allowed you to preview links. There have been times when I've sent out tweets via Hootsuite and had the link not provide a preview and I've had to take down and post straight from Twitter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I want to collaborate on a project it's an easy way for other team members to jump in and add posts that are relevant to the topic.

In terms of user friendly, Hootsuite is in my top 3.
Great for Facebook and Twitter - Instagram Scheduling Needs Work
What do you like best about the product?
I use this to manage about 12 different brands, with each on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The scheduling is pretty seamless, however I think the Instagram part needs more attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
I understand Instagram post must be manually published, which I'm fine with. My struggle is more with not being able to preview my Instagram posts in a grid format (like how they will be displayed on the Instagram account). We work really hard to keep a consistent look and feel on Insta and it would be nice if I could preview that format. Prior to using Hootsuite, I was using Later.com. Later executed this part really well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By having scheduling, monitoring, analytics, etc. all in one platform, it has save me a lot of time! Now I can dedicate more time to the strategy behind our posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For our company, Hootsuite makes the most sense for now. From what we researched and demoed, Hootsuite was one of the cheaper/mid range options that met our basic needs.
Priced Well
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a great tool for searching based on location, scheduling Twitter posts in bulk, and scheduling Retweets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limitation to using the HootSuite link shortener. It makes posts look generic and is a telltale sign that HootSuite is, in fact, the scheduling tool used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the moment-- none.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It was a far better investment when you paid $8.99 a month for 50 profiles. The prices have more than doubled in the past year, and I think anyone looking for social media management tools would be far better off using BufferApp.com or Sprout Social. Sprout Social is pricier but cleaner and more delightful to use.
Great Free Tool for Marketers
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can monitor several of your social media accounts for free and how you can decide which features are most important to you.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a few issues with the site's usability, but nothing that a few Google searches couldn't help me figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed something that allowed me to schedule posts and track the interactions across multiple brands, all in one spot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great platform to use, especially if you're just starting out. You can use the free version until you've grown large enough to pay for the professional version. I also like how you can personalize what you're monitoring, so it allows you to customize the platform to meet your needs. The new keyword tracking tool is also a good addition to the platform and something I'd suggest using. That will help make sure you're not missing anything your audience is saying.
Excellent program for social media management

The program makes it easier to schedule and manage posts on both desktop and app on my iphone
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish HootSuite was allowed to post on our behalf for Instagram I understand that is more on the Instagram restriction side - but my hope is that there is a way to work through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to schedule posts ahead of time during times that I am travelling allowing me to connect with my audience while being able to be on vacation or travel for business
