Easy monitoring for multiple platforms
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of dashboard use - main screen provides a great snapshot to see multiple platforms at once
What do you dislike about the product?
Some add-ons are a bit costly - for example, custom URLs, reports, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For a small staff, Hootsuite makes monitoring several social media platforms easy and convenient with a single dashboard. It also allows for convenient scheduling of posts, and the free version provides some decent, basic analytics.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is really efficient for setting up a dashboard of all your social media accounts from where you can manage them all. Time efficiency, compatibility and 3rd parties' integrations are some of the benefits gained through Hootsuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, the only limit which I've experienced with Hootsuite is when you manage Instagram accounts - as in such case you still have to use a mobile or tablet; however, you can still monitor Instagram accounts, just not posting from desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving hours of time every week - thanks with Hootsuite solution you will have just 1 dashboard for all different social media. Plus, you can use it to keep an eye open on competitors or particular hashtags and trends. Integration of various apps internally to Hootsuite will also help you increasing your competitiveness, as you can set up more app for monitor/research and analyse any social media network relevant to your audience and business core.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are infinite ways you can adopt to benefit from Hootsuite. Not only from its core/integrated functions, but also check out other software compatible with it: selecting 'App Directory' from the Hoosuite dashboard, you'll find hundreds of apps you can integrate to your Hootsuite account. Ideal for innovators and early adopters!
Great Once you Get the Hang of It
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Hootsuite are the multiple streams that you can pull up and monitor at the same time. The app is also great for publishing on the go or checking in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the publisher on desktop. It is really easy to pick the wrong social account and the link shortener is a bit annoying. Also I find that GIFs don't always publish correctly through Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite gives is a great platform to monitor comments for clients as well as schedule content. This is great for weekend postings or last minute additions.
Easy to learn interface but costly
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to save time by managing all of my organizations social media platforms in one location!
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile interface is lacking! I'm frequently on the go and prefer to work off of a tablet. They should address this as many users are moving away from laptop and desktops.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to schedule posts during our traffics highest engagement time has been a great tool!
Hootsuite is a "hoot"
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use and the layout is very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
You still have to sign in to Instagram to post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep an eye on our business and what people are saying across social media outlets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very inexpensive (free version) way for me to keep tabs on our brand and to share posts across all social media platforms, except Instagram, as stated earlier you still have to go into your account to post.

It works to schedule and manage small accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Engagement rank on Facebook is lowered when you use anything other than Facebook. Also they don't have a way to schedule Instagram posts yet.

Saves time and easy to use. I love it for Twitter posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep in mind you'll only have 3 free social channels that you can manage from Hootsuite. If you need more you'll need to purchase the other plans. Also they don't have an option to schedule Instagram posts.
Good platform

Easy switching between different accounts/social media handle. Also its capacity to to do scheduled posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get lost during posting of updates. The visibility of the social media handle could be done better.

Not having to logon to multiple sites.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule content weeks or months ahead of time allowing me to get ahead of schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the interface as it is not appealing nor user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to get days and weeks ahead of my work taking excess stress off my plate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not familiar with other scheduling platforms, but there may be better options out there.
Pretty great management
What do you like best about the product?
The content management system and how you can easily manage multiple social accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a little complicated, but overall not that confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Switching between accounts/apps/tabs/websites. Overall it speeds up posting between platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it, I switched off due to lack of use, but for a more intense social strategy it would definitely be useful.
Great Social Media Solution - Not User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like and appreciate that HootSuite allows for so many accounts to be in one place - as well as the ability to monitor hashtags, mentions, messages and more. I like how you can also customize it to be the dashboard you want it to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the layout of HootSuite leaves much to be desired in terms of user friendliness. It is complicated and not laid out in a thoughtful or clean way. It is not intuitive and takes a very long time to get used to, compared to apps like Buffer or SproutSocial which are much more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in a firm that is in charge of multiple social media accounts, HootSuite allows me to see all accounts at once without getting confused or overwhelmed. It also allows me to monitor follower activity all in one place, and quickly interact and engage followers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try not to focus on how chaotic the design is, but focus on its capabilities. HootSuite can do a lot.
