What do you like best about the product?
The ability to map out social media content is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bummer that more analytics tools aren't built in to Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving a completely lack of social media content, and we're receiving the benefit of increased social media engagement and sales.

**Hootsuite does not post, it just plans**

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the planning part of the app, though social media handles like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter all have pre-planned posting capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Starting out with Hootsuite, I thought the planned post plan where you put in when you'd like it to post, would actually post to your Twitter or Instagram. It does not. It only sends you a reminder of when to post that content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I'm gone and someone else is taking over the brand strategy endeavors via Hootsuite, it's easy for them to sign in and see what my plan was for that day or the following.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool for planning if you're an over-planner like me! It's also great to show your team the planned posts before posting them.

Great tool for social media management

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a great social media management tool. Minus some occasional minor glitches, I would highly recommend it as it allows you to schedule, monitor and manage a large number of brands and social networks. I especially like that you can schedule multiple platforms at once and that you are able to schedule directly on pages thanks to a Hootlet Chrome extension.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, Hootsuite is glitchy, especially when trying to mention a person or brand in a tweet or Facebook post. It either won't let you select the right one and will get frozen or in the case of Facebook, is unable to find pages with titles that are longer than a few words. Another glitch is that occasionally a scheduled post will fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media management and social listening

Time effective and hassle free.

What do you like best about the product?
That you can pre plan post and not have to worry about what you are going to post each day of the week.
What do you dislike about the product?
The service has jumped in price but still is reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing and content creation for real estate.

Best free option

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Hootsuite is free, easy to use and has a clean dashboard. It separates out your accounts and gives you multiple columns to work with so you can see what you've scheduled, favorited, what's on your home feed, etc. The list feature is also nice if there are a group of people I want to interact with; that way I can just see their tweets/posts live in the columns.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish keywords and searches could be more refined. Sometimes I have a broad keyword but it shows up in thousands of spam accounts and my search doesn't do much for me. I dislike that it doesn't have that option and I wish it could be used more to help me find content to share and engage with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily engage with my targeted audience and schedule posts for throughout the week, saving me enormous amounts of time. It's so nice to know that I am pushing out content and don't have to pause during the day to do it myself!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't forget abut the two-factor authentication on Instagram. Other than that, Hootsuite is pretty easy to navigate.

Great Collaborative Tool - Lackluster Reporting

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Leveraging the tool with a larger (10+) person team of social content creators has been a simpler process using HootSuite. The role-based user permissions seem to work well and we have a process that effectively manages the process from start to finish.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge we have faced with HootSuite is the reporting functionality. While I can see how it probably meets 90% of their customer needs it lacks the nuance necessary for complex businesses that have multiple go-to-market strategies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool was put in place almost entirely for process improvement. Reduced overhead upon our social media administrators and a streamlining of our time to market with key messaging.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to work together and communicate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of the reports is outside monthly fee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage many social
Media accounts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great location to see your social media accounts while managing many accounts. It provides an easy flow of all avenues. Reports do cost extra.

Hootsuite- still on top

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've had to use Hootsuite for at least 4 different organizations. The consistency of use is what keeps me coming back!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like having to use Hootsuite for Instagram! It would be tremendously helpful if there can be a way to schedule posts to Instagram without having to log into IG each time!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Hootsuite, we are able to save tons of time by automating our postings. This has freed us up to focus on other aspects of marketing, and allows us to remain relevant to our customer base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest trying their free version, and really commit to using it consistently. In addition to manages postings, Hootsuite is great for being able to manage comments, like other posts and engage with users.

Hootsuite has made promotion easier

  • April 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The scheduling for various platforms has been very useful in reaching a broader spectrum of people. Being able to see when we have messages from the various platforms is helpful as well so that we don't miss requests and inquiries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout isn't as intuitive or user friendly as other similar software like Buffer. It requires a bit of a learning curve
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a non-profit getting the word out is our primary need, and we have been able to cut down on time spent on social media sites (which can also distract from productivity), but we also are able to reach audiences on various platforms from one spot. Replying to requests has never been easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software is best used to span multiple social media platforms rather than focusing on one platform's target audience.
