Great social scheduling platform
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is an easy-to-use social scheduling platform for Twitter and Facebook. A paid premium version allows you to have multiple seats. Easy to add link and photos/videos. Can view week/month at a glance views. "Suggestions" in beta was great! The analytics are good, but not life changing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a little wonky with refreshing and saving drafts--nothing too problematic though.

We are solving scheduling social media across channels across multiple users.

What do you like best about the product?
Loved this free tool that keeps track of multiple accounts in real time. You can also connect multiple users so more than one person can monitor at a time

The free version has only basic functionality

Keeps track of social media interactions, hashtags and accounts in one place. Helps me communicate quickly with social media users
HootSuite for social media scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to plan and schedule Tweets over the weekend/when I'm not in the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain functions on Twitter can only be used live, and so HootSuite cannot over as comprehensive of scheduling services as it otherwise could.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit and problem HootSuite solves is the ability to manage scheduling Tweets on our own time.
Flexible for usage
What do you like best about the product?
HootSuite makes automated social media marketing easy because you can invest a small amount to serve your needs without having to add bells and whistles that may not be necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a better marketing planning function with an easier calendar to read and connect to other events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of an under-resourced marketing department, which is made much easier by automating processes.
A Tool You Can Grow Into
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a tool that is great for individuals and small companies looking to try their hand at social. If you take the time to learn a few tips and tricks you can save yourself a bit of time uploading messages in advance and their support is generally quite responsive. I also really like that you can set it up to add your UTM parameters to the end of links.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I better understood how to use HS as a social monitoring tool. As it is, we're looking into other tools to do that bit of our social media management as it seems that other tools use will provide you with certain metrics in a more automated fashion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a one-stop-shop for creating/curating content for our social media networks. We've also started to use tabs to monitor social before and during events. This saves us a considerable amount of time.

What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is very clear and intuitive to use and allows a large number of different social media platforms to be viewed on one screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
LinkedIn doesn't seem to work very well with Hootsuite (e.g. links don't appear with a full image preview). Setting up key words and accounts etc for monitoring takes a little time (easy once you know how).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite is a big time saver, negating the need to access separate social media channels to create posts. It also makes analysis easy and allows activity to be strategically scheduled. It's great to be able to collate stats in one platform and to export these for records and further analysis.

Social media calendar
It's the industry standard for a reason!
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive and connects all the major social platforms, and easily tracks posts, mentions, and such across all of them. Plus the ability to cross post and schedule content is fabulous!
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics and especially the draft system should be a little more organized. And it would be nice to customize your shortened URLs in the system itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The organization and scheduling of dozens of social posts across platforms for a major lifestyle publisher.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely go for it - it's a great starter level social media management tool, with plenty of options to add-on as your social media world grows.
Social Media all in one place
What do you like best about the product?
I like having all of the business's social media accounts listed in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cost. Its very expensive for a product that really doesn't do much but pull in data and push our data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its saving me time from having to manage multiple accounts on multiple pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the long term costs. Its pretty pricey.
