Hootsuite isn't the best out there
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is user-friendly and anyone on the team can easily jump in and learn how to use it
What do you dislike about the product?
Its interface isn't the prettiest and there are limitations on the social networks you can connect with. Also, Hootsuite's analytics aren't as rich as other products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Hootsuite to schedule our social media messages. We then do not have to remember to send out our daily messages, its already done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its free version allows you to do a lot, so if you're looking to save on costs, I would recommend using the free version.

Hootsuite has been an excellent platform for us to use when scheduling social media posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Timing is key and making sure to update when a post is scheduled if you post too far in advance.

Great bulk social sharing tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to share on many social sites at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you're only allowed to attach just a few social sites and not all without paying a price for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm saving time with sharing on social sites via my blog and scheduling them to go out at different times without spamming my followers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Allow bloggers to add at least 3 more social sites for the free account and 6 for the 2nd level and unlimited if they are maxed out pro bloggers.
Hootsuite is your one-stop platform for multiple social media posts
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows you to schedule when your post will be sent out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite autogenerates poor quality photos and captions when a link is included in the post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of time needed to generate social media posts across multiple platforms. This service allows us to save time.
Good Software and Incredible Support
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes social listening easy. I can quickly set up different streams to monitor or search for key words, hashtags, etc. The new assignment dashboard is super helpful, too! If you have any questions or run into a snag you can search their FAQ's or reach out to the friendly & helpful folks at @Hootsuite_Help and they will respond asap. There are moderation controls, too, so if I'm training a new person on the team I can set their messages to be reviewed before publicly posting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find that an action carried out under a specific profile will update for some users on that profile but not all. It's an annoyance more than anything, but occasionally it causes an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Hootsuite to easily view and engage in different conversations happening about my business. It's made life so easy!

Try it out! You've got nothing to lose and whole lot to gain.
Excellent Social Media Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It contains all social media accounts at one place
What do you dislike about the product?
Application lags a lot sometimes which results in data loss

It is not possible to tweet or post at particular intervals which hootsuite solves by scheduling them
Free Version Only
What do you like best about the product?
Scheduling in bulk was efficient. Never really had any issues with Hootsuite being unable to post social messages (i.e. receiving an error). However, because it was the free version, there was limitations on reporting availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only used the free version, however, the reporting available even for the free version was lacking in depth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite was in use prior to my arrival at my current position. Before onboarding our MA, Hootsuite was a great tool to manage our social postings to a variety of social platforms, but also had an in-depth listening tool (monitoring) that I find has more options than our MA social tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a basic tool (free version) - Hootsuite is perfect. If you're interested in having a more robust reporting tool, using the paid version may benefit you.
A great basic tool for managing social media accounts
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule posts for Instagram is something that saves me a ton of time every week. It's an easy interface and makes a time consuming task much easier to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't feel like Hootsuite updates in "real time", which does not make it my first choice for monitoring Twitter. It does have the ability to monitor several different feeds or hashtags at once, which is useful, but I feel like it's an entry level tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm working at building an audience on Instagram and Hootsuite has been very useful to that end.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very good entry level tool. I think the analytics don't add anything beyond the native analytics from Twitter or Facebook.
Best thing ever
What do you like best about the product?
I like I can schedule updates to go out when I have other things to do. This helps save time.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I have to pay for the fro extra services. With Free I only get 2 social channels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
saving time. With HootSuite, I am able to save time and use it elsewhere.
