Social media simplified
What do you like best about the product?
Maintaining social media accounts across different platforms for a number of clients can get overwhelming. But when you have Hootsuite, you can manage your posts effortlessly, measure your impact, and analyze your metrics in moments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike. I've used Hootsuite for clients since 2011 and it's only gotten better and better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Hootsuite helps my clients realize the importance of streamlining a facet of marketing that is necessary and requires simplification. Businesses need to take the time to post smarter, not harder. But they don't need to spend all of their time doing it.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to use one dashboard to manage social posts across our platforms. Its a convenient software with many advantages and ease of use.

Schedule updates (including on a calendar and even upload from a spreadsheet (csv file)
Collaborate as a team (delegate replies, tweets, mark as done, track messages etc)

What do you dislike about the product?
We quit using Hootsuite because of their mobile limitations. We needed to be able to switch platforms and accounts with greater ease on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you are posting or sharing a link to your Facebook page, ones with photos and a summary are far more likely to be clicked than ones with just a short text status. When you post a single update or use the standard scheduler in Hootsuite, it does post the thumbnail and summary. It gets this from the open graph tags on the web page or tries to have a good guess. However, if you use the bulk scheduler (uploading from a csv file) or use the RSS feature (posting directly from an RSS feed) you are stuck. Facebook is only going to get the text in a Tweet-like status

What do you like best about the product?
The product needs some polishing (on it's looks) but otherwise it's a great product to use and schedule my posts in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how limited we are on what social medias we can use with the product, for example, I am not able to use pinterest and instagram to schedule posts, which can be a hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use hootsuite to help get a load off of my shoulders and not have to worry about when to post my social media posts. I like that it's always prompt but I do not like it when it says "posted on hootsuite" - for all of my facebook posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good basic tool to have if you want to schedule posts in advance however you are very limited to which social media you chose.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the bulk uploader feature for twitter posting. The support team is great. I use Hootsuite mostly for scheduling and analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that suggestions feature is being discontinued.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The reporting feature saves me a lot of time & my clients love them. There are currently some exporting issues the support team is working on fixing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
replace the suggestions feature & fix the report export problems

I like the succinctness of having all your media platforms in one place.

Sometimes things don't translate correctly across multiple platforms (i.e. linking doesn't translate from FB to Twitter).

I love how you can schedule out posts to run.

I do not like how Instagram is not connected to it.

We are trying to figure out the balance between marketing/promotion and encouragement/entertainment. Still working on it.
A Simple Tool for Scheduling and Managing
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about HootSuite to me is how user-friendly and intuitive it is. It's very easy to pick up and start scheduling posts. For the more advanced features, like collaboration and team-editing, there are lots of support materials, webinars, and videos to help get you started. I even had a rep reach out and ask to have a conversation about how we could better leverage Hootsuite to drive engagement!
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting is great, but once you go beyond free reports (you have so many "credits" included with your subscription), it starts to get pricey. We use a different dashboarding software to get the same stats, but we can incorporate statistics from other platforms, including our email marketing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can schedule social content way ahead and always be on top of it. The best way to establish a strong following is consistency, and Hootsuite makes it easier to be consistent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a simple, easy to use system to manage social posting, Hootsuite is right on the money.
Excellent Social Media Dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
Our company gains most of our business from social media so we need to able to keep everything on track. Hootsuite has allowed us to keep our content organized and scheduled.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we love most things about hootsuite, there have been a few times where we needed to edit or refine something already post it. Or post something again down the road with a different link. This process is a bit clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to solve the problem of having an actual person needing to post on the company's behalf. It was time-consuming and stressful to hit exact times. It has benefited us to curate content ahead of time and schedule it out.
Great for Bloggers
What do you like best about the product?
I like best about this product is I can keep up with all my post without having to sign in to all the different social media accounts. This is a major time saver

So far this product has done everything I need it to do .

The benefit definitely in the time you save jumping social account to social media account.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you draft your post wisely because one click and they will be posted on multiple outlets. You always want to make sure you are approving the right message.
Great tool for CM, but with messy options
What do you like best about the product?
All the options to put together so many social networks, being able to see at a glance all the information about notifications.
Also it's a great tool for planning updates, schedule posts and so on.
For people that wants detailed analitycs it's a great tool, as they offer lot of information, detailed reports, but they come with a price.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some options are too complicated and should be redesign in my opinion, for example the way it manage PM in different columns, putting all separated: "Inbox" and "Sent", so it's easy to keep or follow a conversation.
Also, some menus are really confusing or hard to follow, something difficult to understand in a world with intuitive tools that improve day by day. Also, price it's, in my opinion, too expensive for what they offer, and for the confusing UI that they offer in most of the parts of the site.

Managing all the social accounts it's something really difficult to solve sometimes, as there are lot of information driving around and times fly. With hootsuite it's easier to schedule, manage and keep updated all the acounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's seriously a great tool, but, for what I expect from a tool like this, it makes things a bit difficult sometimes with lot of confusing menus, and with really simple things made hard to manage (I'm still thinking about why do they make somethings that difficult, thins like private messages from twitter)
