Great social management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and manage design, especially when you use lists for management. I like that searches can be tailored to location. It's helpful that Instagram is integrated, too. I use Hootsuite to schedule and plan for multiple accounts, and can always count on them to go out on time. I love that it can move seamlessly to mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I don't like about it. It's my go-to social media management tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have several accounts I am managing and this helps me keep them organized and updated without too much additional work on my part.
Hootsuite is a must-have for any social media manager
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows me to schedule social media posts days, weeks, even months ahead of time. Because my job requires so many other tasks, I can't always give my social media the time it needs on a daily basis. But I can carve out time every couple of weeks to go ahead and pre-load my posts and have them ready to go when they're relevant or just a couple times a day, if I prefer. It's great. I also love that they're adding new social media outlets, like YouTube and LinkedIn. Plus I can manage multiple accounts from one dashboard, which just makes things that much easier. The mobile app is amazing for posting to all my accounts while on the go, as well. I can't imagine staying on top of my social accounts without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I wish could be incorporated is the ability to batch upload posts with images. Currently, you can do a mass upload of text posts with a CSV file, which is great. But I post a lot on Instagram, plus images just get better views on Facebook and Twitter too. So I try to add images to most of my posts. But I do have to go in and post each post individually that way. Hootsuite is still a massive time-saver, but having an interface to do multiple posts at once with images would make it even more efficient for the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a nonprofit that really needed to up our social media presence. But with a small staff and so many other needs, there isn't enough time to dedicate solely to posting on social sites. Hootsuite has made it possible to have a constant social media presence, without having to constantly be on our social pages. And it frees me up to post other relevant content as it comes up, in addition to my scheduled posts. Our reach on all social outlets has greatly increased since I started using Hootsuite.

The reporting isn't as detailed as Hubspot.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to use Hootsuite as a tool for easy tracking, monitoring, and management, this is the right software. It is easy to navigate, however, it does limit you with your tabs. Though this can be annoying, it doesn't prevent you from adding more pages.
LOVE ME SOME HOOTSUITE
What do you like best about the product?
Love using it with multiple social networks and managing different brands/accounts. Love the mobile app + desktop platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmm... sometimes on Twitter, tagging might result in an extra space but I'm not sure if that's been resolved. It is hard to dislike when it is so easy to use and all of your marketing friends/agency friends are using it too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple social media profiles (Linkedin Company Showcase Page, Facebook Business Page, Twitter Profile) and aligning messaging through all of these to schedule social posts with ease. Also reporting!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No brainer - stop scheduling on all networks and use Hootsuite to align all of your networks together.

Complicated interface. The home screen is slightly complicated to use.

Quick & easy social media management
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to schedule posts across multiple platforms all on one screen, and I love that there's a mobile app. I work late at night a lot, so when I come up with post ideas or need to schedule something for a time during the day, I can easily do it through Hootsuite on my laptop, phone, or iPad.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't check or schedule posts to Facebook groups through the mobile apps, and I've had a few scheduled Facebook group posts fail and not post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to increase my visibility on social media throughout the day, which helps me grow my brand better. It's also nice to be able to check and post to several different social media accounts from one place. I've found it really helpful especially for Twitter so I can schedule tweets weeks, even months, out.

I love the tabs and streams - when managing multiple accounts for multiple brands, it's nice to have everything accessible in once place.

The aesthetic quality of Hootsuite isn't my favorite.

I've spent less time monitoring pages and feeds, having them all in one place, which allows me to use my time more efficiently.

I like that I have the ability to post to multiple Facebook accounts. However, when it comes to Facebook Hootsuite doesn't offer a whole lot of good otherwise.

Lack of human resources to manage multiple social media clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Decide which platforms you use most for your customers and then decide which social management tool to get. Hootsuite is great for twitter but look elsewhere for others.
Not user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that you could have all platforms all on one easy to use interface. I liked that we could schedule Tweets via this interface as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Didn't like a lot of things. Most of all, it was really difficult to add additional users, even with the paid plan. The interface really didn't seem to keep up with scheduling tweets like other services like Buffer. I feel like the interface looks like the same it did back in 2012.
