Using for Years and Still Loving It

What do you like best about the product?
I've been utilizing Hootsuite since 2011 when I had the need for a tool to control multiple accounts on multiple social networks. I've found it to be intuitive, easy to master and full of useful updates just when I start thinking I need them. The interface is simple and straight-forward, and I have taught this tool to many older professionals in my industry of school communications. I enjoy the ability to control my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds all from one location, and also the ability to monitor special hashtags I use in my communication efforts with the scroll of my mouse. The scheduling feature makes my week more organized and takes one more thing off my to-do list each day, and the built-in link shrinking feature has always been great for saving space. Additionally, I use Hootsuite from my mobile device to push video on Facebook as the Pages app does not allow for that capability. It really is an all-around great tool on my desktop and on mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only two real hassles with Hootsuite that I have discovered during my use.

#1 - The post to Instagram is a bit cumbersome due to the way you have to push to it from your mobile device into Instagram and then post. It doesn't work in the same way the other networks allow you to schedule and forget.

#2 - There are size limitations to the image size you can post. As I shoot much of my work on a high-quality camera resulting in large size photos, it would be great to not have to edit them down before posting. (Note: This may be a limitation in the networks themselves, but I don't believe so.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allows me to save time, and that is the most valuable part of my day. As a busy communications professional running between school buildings every single day, it's nice to know that when I do have time to get behind my desk, I can schedule many messages that will appear on my networks with little additional effort. Also the mobile app allows me to post on the go when I need it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product works best for those that need a tool to monitor multiple social networks. It may not be all that useful for those who don't have more than one network. Utilize the scheduling and monitoring tools. Both are great functions of this tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite lets me schedule posts across multiple platforms on behalf of multiple accounts while keeping things simple and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Waiting for the day they allow tagging in photos for Twitter!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You want to be active on social media, but some days do not allow you to put in the time. Hootsuite lets you do the work ahead of time, when you have time.

A lot of different social media sites on which to post. A benefit is having most of them accessible in one app.

Great intro to Social

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of automation and large data uploads.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lags at uploads when submitting content. You can't duplicate content when using the large data publisher which can be frustrating when working with clients who run weekly specials in addition to posting creative content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier to plan the week knowing that your social content is scheduled. Leaves time to work on other projects and strategy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for getting your social media off the ground. Synchronized posts and results.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite made my life a lot easier and I would recommend it to anyone. Allowing me to schedule out all of my Tweets and Facebook posts allowed me to be more efficient at work. I really enjoyed sitting down once a week and taking care of all of the companies social media posts all at once. After that all I needed to worry about was responding to people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to say here. Hootsuite did exactly what I wanted and then some. I found it a little tough to figure out at the start, but I caught on pretty quickly. The only thing I wish that would add it some form of automation. Sometimes I just want to be a presence on social media and don't necessary need add much value. I'm sure it's something they've considered and avoided due to people spamming, but it would be nice if there was a small form of automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Somedays I would completely forget to submit anything to social media. It allowed me to have a much more consistent presence in the social media world. It came with a lot more benefits than I was expecting. I really enjoyed that ability to add gifs to my posts. I also thought it was great that they had a way to shrink links so I would have more characters to use for Twitter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Defiantly give it a try and stick with it because when you get it all figured out Hootsuite is a very helpful tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite gives you a clean and easy to navigate dashboard for all of your social media streams. In the early days, this was pretty limited, but it has come a long way. There are also great management tools where you can have other users post content for you to approve and schedule
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve. Adding streams, especially from some of their less-supported platforms, can be tricky. The interface for the scheduler looks nice, but can be clunky at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to compile multiple social media posts all at once and then scheduling them out. It is also a great way to keep an eye on trends and keywords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you set up your teams early-on if you are using their pro tools. Also, make sure that you have calendar view on to make sure you are not double posting.

A must-have tool for Social Media management

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is super easy to use and very intuitive. I think they have a pretty good freemium version for startups and SMEs. I have used it for personal projects too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their posting on Instagram feature does not work really well. I've programmed some photos and never showed up. For Instagram I always end up posting manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content distribution. It's very easy to manage the content calendar with Hootsuite so that we can plan what content will be distributed through which platform. Scheduled content is by far the best solution Hootsuite is offering right now in the company I work for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a very good start thanks to their free version. It doesn't lack for any core functionality: comprehensive built-in listening, publishing features and vast array of integrations.
