What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to manage all of your social media accounts on one platform.
Particularly, the paid version allows you to view all of the posts that are scheduled in a monthly calendar view.
This allows for seamless scheduling of material that doesn't overlap.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the confusing aspect of the team function. There's too many permissions and logins needed separately from each other in order to manage all accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating all of our team's marketing efforts into one website has proved to be very beneficial.

I definitely recommend this product for individuals who are using less than 3 social media platforms.
However, things tend to get a bit pricey once the paid version is needed.

Hootsuite Great For Beginners in Social Media Realm.
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a little more clumsy as an application, but it's still a very good platform for social media managers and community managers. The addition of Facebook Campaigns has really made the platform stand out from some of the other offerings. The content recommendations are also a nice touch as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout for scheduling social media content is not the best in my opinion. The Campaigns section was in Beta the last time I used it but it could use some polishing when it comes to targeting and setting the demographics. I feel that the content recommendations are a little hit or miss when looking for more broad topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy for me to manage my clients profiles with this tool because I can manage different accounts and switch between them quickly. It's a big time saver.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good tool to get started with if you're looking for an SM tool to get you started. It's not the best for those who consider themselves power users, but it is a step in the right direction when it comes to beginner social media management tools.
Great for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy being able to manage everything from Facebook to Instagram using just one platform. With the recent Instagram implementation, it's a breeze to upload everything and get it scheduled across platforms. The ability to have multiple feeds and manage everything in one screen is truly a dream.
What do you dislike about the product?
Facebook seems to squelch posts made from Hootsuite vs. natively in Facebook, but it's still a great tool to use in a pinch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More effective and efficient social media management, ability to manage on the go, social monitoring, etc.

What I like best about Hootsuite is how easy it is to schedule everything!

The only thing that I dislike about Hootsuite is that it can be overwhelming at times.

I am in fundraising. Time management is crucial in this business.
Favorite Social Media Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is the perfect fit for marketing/social media managers working in the SMB setting. Price is right, easy to setup, gets the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard isn't as aesthetically pleasing as other social media management tools and it can be hard to find/do things within each stream.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed something to post and manage social media, basic analytics and hosting our 3 main social media sites in one place. Easy to use and schedule posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a quick, easy, and cheap way to manage the 3 major SM sites, HootSuite is all you need. If Social Media is more of a validation tool and not your main traffic driver, the basic HootSuite does all you need.
Helpful and supportive with some great add-on's
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use to post across multi social networks. The range of social networks available. The auto post facilities that you can upload via excel. All really really helpful saving lots of time. The applications you can sync with, although not all are free vastly increase your options when it comes to social media posting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the social networks crash so pre planned work does not get posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and posting my work across multi media that doing individually would take hours. I am also able to work in one screen across multiple social media channels that could well take even more time flicking through each screen or tab.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Greater variety of suggested posts. Hootsuite has this amazing suggested posts, however for my topic/market the list is very USA based. needs tailoring to each segment, so UK folk can select from UK urls rather than mainly .com urls. Also a greater sync with Zapier and IFTT so that further integrations for non tekkies can take place.

Multi stream view for monitoring, scheduling tools and analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
Analytics are not very easy to understand, and most available only through premium service...yet its not premium data they are analyzing. Also when posting to twitter the content does not carry over properly (i.e. photos, links)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling needs and multi network monitoring. Scheduling tool is a huge benefit.

Utilize it but find what works for you

What do you like best about the product?
Once you learn the ropes with Hootsuite, you be REALLY glad you did! Creating and scheduling social media post couldn't get any easier. I love the UI and also the uploading and scheduling features. Very easy to use once you get the hang of how it works.
What do you dislike about the product?
At a glance, Hootsuite can be a little overwhelming to the average user. I had a colleague look at other options because they said it seemed too daunting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limited time but needed to grow and stay on top of using all of our social media outlets. We needed a one stop shop to handle Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and Facebook. Hootsuite has been able to provide a way to meet our social needs. The benefits? Saves lots of time!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that it's free. I love the fact that I can schedule tweets days, weeks, and months in advance. I appreciate the basic analytics that are provided to free users.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I copy and paste the title of a news article along with the URL to the piece in to the box on Hootsuite that allows me to schedule tweets, it takes a few seconds for me to be able to see everything that I just pasted into the box. I find it irritating. Also, the pop up box that appears when I finally succeed in shortening a URL appears directly on top of the box where I'm still trying to compose my tweet. Grrr. On occasion, tweets that I've scheduled in advance are sent out without the links that I've shortened. Once again, grrr. Copy and pasting Twitter handles into Hootsuite is now a pain that Hootsuite is linked to Twitter so that when a user starts typing "@TwitterHandle" it turns blue and links to the Twitter account. I don't know every Twitter handle off the top of my head. I want to be able to copy and past them in without having to retype them to make sure they link to Twitter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage the social media for a few different entities that operate globally. I can't send out tweets at all hours of the day and night. I need this tool for scheduling tweets that go out at all different times to reach followers in time zones across the globe from Dubai to Seoul and Beijing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can't believe that any company or organization isn't using Hootsuite. I recommend it to all of my affiliates and clients. Take advantage of this tool that allows you to communicate with your customers, clients, and partners 24/7 wherever they live around the world.
Easy To Manage Social Distribution Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to work one day a week on social and schedule posts out for days I'm not in the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The teams functionality requires a higher dollar investment.
