Early tool but don't use much anymore
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the link shortener already incorporated within the platform and it made it easy to publish on-the-fly. It also was really easy to use and learn. It was one of the first social media management tools I used and it'll always have a soft spot in my heart.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't seem like Hootsuite has really kept up with the trends lately and isn't innovating as quickly. They've stuck to what they know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was in need of a tool to help me organize my followings and track hashtag conversations quickly and engage in the same platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simple tool, this is probably it but beware you can't do all the fancy stuff!
Wonderful
What do you like best about the product?
I can easily schedule marketing posts on Facebook, Twitter at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Instagram integration is not where I would like it. Requires the switching of apps to properly posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency and timing of social media
Hootsuite does the job at the cost you can afford
What do you like best about the product?
I love the side by side views that Hootsuite provides. It is especially helpful for Twitter in tracked hashtags and what is trendy. It is very easy to have multiple people managing at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to communicate between teams in Hootsuite. I would love to see internal communication capabilities happen in the next upgrade. Some of the interface needs update, but the functionalities are there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want several different users to be able to participate in managing social media. Hootsuite allows us to plan, forecast and manage together and across different teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a great management software for your social media goals. Spend some time using the educational resources Hootsuite provides so you get started on the right foot.
My go-to for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and reliable, easy to setup, mobile notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be buggy at times and I had to contact customer service a few times (they always helped quickly and to my satisfaction though!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage and monitor our companies social outlets & education (Hootsuite academy)
Love Hoot.
What do you like best about the product?
It now allows photos to be posted and that you can navigate so much at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing so far! I used to not like that it wouldn't post the photos as photos and would post it as links but now that is fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Constant client/social presence
Jack of All, Master of None
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to monitor multiple streams of pages (as well as the default setting allowing me to engage and comment as my personal profile, rather than the page) is a nice feature, and allows me to grow post engagement for multiple pages within seconds without having to have a dozen browser tabs open.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to do any content creation of any meaningful sort without a Pro subscription; if I only have one profile on each platform, why do I even need HootSuite? I get their model, but come on. Up it to five; be reasonable, folks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am seeing a lot more efficiency and accountability within my social media management staff and can real-time update them on what I'm seeing, as well as our viewers' reactions and engagements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's an effective tool by itself, but lacks most of its publishing capability without paying for the subscription is a little much; worth the price if you can afford the dedicated personnel to run the software, absolutely.
A total time-saver
What do you like best about the product?
Here's why I love Hootsuite: I can easily post one thing across multiple platforms without having to individually log in to each one. That means tons of time saved. As a very busy entrepreneur, I need to use software and websites that are easy to use and uncomplicated. That's exactly what Hootsuite is for me. It's especially good for people who heavily focus on internet marketing for their business. I really like that you can customize which platforms you want to use Hootsuite for and that you can schedule your posts for the future. It even offers to email you when it has posted for you in the future so you get a nice confirmation that it was posted. This is crucial if you are running a particular campaign and need certain status updates to be sent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I reallly dislike. Hootsuite really is easy to love :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to find something that would make posting to social media be simple and quick. I like that at a glance I can see what is going on in different platforms and can post once and have it reach to different platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend everyone try out Hootsuite. It's free and easy to use. There are other options in the market but this one is straight forward, cheap and has a clean interface. You can try it and see if it works for you but warning: I think once you do, you'll be addicted. One thing you'll like is that you can customize what platforms you want to see. For Twitter especially it makes it much more manageable and far less overwhelming. I like that you can perform pretty much the same actions that you normally would for each individual platform. So it's great because you won't have to keep logging in to each one. It also lets you schedule posts so you could write all of your status updates and then schedule them in for the future just once and be done. That's really working smarter, not harder.
The best base product out there
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use...so simple to use. If you need something basic it doesn't get better than Hootsuite. I really liked the dashboard display, very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most social platforms, integration with things like instagram and snapchat, but hopefully the find a way to feed metrics and insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing social media profiles and monitor success
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can buy more robust tools but for most small businesses and consultants Hootsuite manages just fine!
I love Hootsuite
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes my work life 100 times easier with their social media management software & auto-scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile isn't as great as I wish it was it was.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management!!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the classes!
Great for scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a Hootsuite Pro user, and I like how many streams I'm able to use with my accounts. I can monitor my own accounts as well as monitor industry happenings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics tools are great, but I don't like that you have to pay for "points" to access their full capabilities. I also don't like that it doesn't work 100% with certain platforms, ie, with LinkedIn, if you post a photo, it shows up as an owly link instead of an actual photo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to schedule all of my posts at the beginning of each week, which frees up my time throughout the week to create new content or monitor the feeds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fantastic tool for scheduling & monitoring. Works great with Twitter & Facebook, not as great with LinkedIn (although it does work in a pinch). Even if you are a Pro member you need to pay extra for full analytics, so unless you're ready to shell out more cash, don't rely on it for analytics. The analytics I've seen are pretty comprehensive though.
