Hootsuite makes my life SO much easier

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite offers so many features in one place. I use Hootsuite literally every day, and it is a huge time saver. I don't know what it was like to plan content for businesses before Hootsuite, but I love not having to worry about manually posting to each account.

The built- in analytics component is amazing and comprehensive. I especially love the new social score.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite part of Hootsuite is the inability to edit story form content on the interface. It requires using a separate software and can be frustrating.

I also become frustrated when I am typing in the 'your post' section when drafting copy, and it doesn't change it across the platforms. Sometimes it does, other times it doesn't. Other than that, I find it to be incredibly useful, easy to learn, and simple to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me track KPIs on our organic social media posts.

Streamlined & Reliable: A Nonprofit’s Experience with Hootsuite

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a reliable and easy to implement tool for managing social media at scale, and it’s played a valuable role in supporting our campaigns across multiple countries. While there are some limitations—especially in cost and platform-specific features—it remains one of the most used tools for social media managers needing structured scheduling, performance insights, and collaboration features.
What do you dislike about the product?
While scheduling Instagram posts is possible, some features like tagging collaborators or setting reminders for Stories aren’t always smooth or intuitive. For a campaign-heavy organization like ours, those little inefficiencies add up. The media library in Hootsuite is quite basic. For an organization that relies heavily on visual storytelling, we find it lacks the functionality of tools like Canva or Adobe Express integrations. Better asset tagging, folders, and image previews can help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite’s unified dashboard has been a real time-saver. It allows us to manage all our major platforms—Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn—from one place. For a small communications team, this centralization reduces workload and makes content planning more seamless. We can see our entire month’s content at a glance, and rearranging posts based on changes or last-minute priorities is easy. The analytics dashboard is helpful, especially for generating quick performance overviews on engagement, reach, and audience growth. We use it to report progress on KPIs like post engagement rate and reach/impressions from social platforms. We appreciate the Inbox feature for monitoring brand mentions and keywords related to eye health or vision loss. This helps us stay responsive and tap into trending conversations when relevant. OwlyGPT is quickly becoming our secret sauce.

Reliable All-in-One Tool for Social Media Management

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it easy to manage multiple social media accounts from one dashboard. The scheduling tool is a major time-saver, especially when planning content across different platforms. I also appreciate the analytics feature, which provides insights into post performance and audience engagement. The user interface is clean and relatively intuitive, even for team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be a bit high for small businesses or individuals, especially if you need access to analytics or additional users. Some platform limitations (like Instagram Story posting or TikTok scheduling) still require workarounds. It would be great to see more seamless integrations and automation options without needing third-party tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite helps streamline the entire social media management process by allowing me to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance all in one place. This eliminates the need to log into each platform individually, saving time and reducing the chances of missing key interactions. For a team managing multiple brands and accounts, it brings structure, consistency, and efficiency to our workflow—especially when planning campaigns or coordinating across time zones.

A Growing & Flexible Software

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is an essential tool for Valley Health Care because it simplifies and enhances our social media management. With Hootsuite, we can efficiently schedule, publish, and monitor content across multiple social media platforms from a single dashboard. This saves time and ensures consistent messaging for our healthcare initiatives.

Its robust analytics help us measure engagement and understand our audience better, guiding us in creating more impactful health education posts. Additionally, Hootsuite’s team collaboration features allow our marketing team to coordinate seamlessly, ensuring all content is accurate, compliant, and brand-aligned.

Overall, Hootsuite helps Valley Health Care maintain a strong, professional online presence while staying connected with our community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite's cost can be significant, especially for advanced features, and its interface may have a learning curve for new users. The limited analytics in basic plans may restrict our ability to measure impact effectively. Additionally, the platform’s customer support can be slow, and the content approval workflow may be cumbersome for organizations with strict compliance requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time Management: Manually posting on multiple social media platforms is time-consuming.

Content Consistency: Without a central platform, maintaining consistent messaging across channels is difficult.

Audience Engagement Tracking: Measuring the success of health education posts is challenging without analytics.

Team Collaboration: Coordinating social media efforts among multiple team members can lead to miscommunication.

Compliance and Accuracy: Ensuring all content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with our brand can be complex.

The Hootsuite owl is my closest co-worker

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The things I like best about Hootsuite are the analytics, in particular the weekly summary with recommendations. My supervisor takes the recommendations much more seriously than she would if I suggested doing the same thing. I can also use the more detailed reports to compare year-over-year results, although I'd prefer to be able to access comparison stats for the whole time we've had the account rather than only the past year.

Day-to-day, Hootsuite is intuitive to use for scheduling, although we don't use its draft creation process. I avoid OwlyGPT over concerns about water use and labour rights (I would like to continue having a job) so I can't comment on it. The hashtag suggestions are a nice addition.

When I've had issues that required it, tech support has been prompt and reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a fairly small thing, but because my organization has high standards for accessibility, I dislike that alt text doesn't carry through to images posted to Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite solves the issues of measuring overall performance on social media and removes a lot of the administrative work involved in tracking. It provides perspective on the bigger picture as well as welcome suggestions on how to improve.

Hootsuite Makes Online Marketing so much easier

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has helped me to schedule and plan content for my business social media accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite has been really helpful. The only thing that would make it better would be the ability to schedule facebook stories & being able to attach links, music & captions to Instragram stories (without using publish via Mobile notifications) .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forcasting, and scheduling in advance. At times we are too busy to post daily, Hootsuite has allowed me to plan relevant content in advance and not have to worry about daily posting

Many great features, only a few small suggested improvements

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the calendar scheduling feature. It allows me to quickly and efficiently build and schedule posts as far out as I need. I can easily duplicate a post for a different social channel. I can even drag and drop content into Hootsuite, reducing the amount of clicks to get content uploaded. It's also been easy to implement amongst our team members, using the drafts to share ideas and then save for managers to approve.

I also like the analytics page, I like building out custom reports. There are so many different options to build and add depending on the data needed. It's simple to use and easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Hootsuite registers my vertical 9:16 video as "incompatible" aspect ratio for Facebook, saying it's .1 off.
In the "editor" feature where I build social posts, I can trim and crop videos or photos; but there isn't a crop by aspect ration option. I wish it would have crop ratios instead of only custom/manual crop.
I also dislike that you can't specify a Facebook video post as a Reel versus a video post; and there is nowhere to add a title or a collaborator. That would be a great feature in the future to add.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me be more efficient and strategic in my social media scheduling, allowing me to have one uniform place to build out my content and look at what's ahead. It also is providing a lot of insight into trends with the analytics and custom reports pages.

Hootsuite Review – Assistant Communications Coordinator Perspective

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In my role as Assistant Communications Coordinator, I’m responsible for managing our social media—from drafting and scheduling posts to maintaining a consistent content calendar. I use Hootsuite daily to schedule multiple posts across different platforms, and it truly makes my job easier.

One of the features I value most is the ability to plan content up to a month in advance. Since my team leader needs to review and approve everything before it’s published, Hootsuite’s collaborative workflow has been a huge help. She can easily review, edit, and approve posts right in the platform, eliminating the need for long email threads and ensuring we stay on schedule.

Hootsuite was also very easy to learn—I didn’t need any formal training. The platform is intuitive and very user-friendly, even for someone jumping in for the first time and I was able to start scheduling posts and collaborating with my team pretty quickly.

I also love how it integrates with Canva, which is one of my main tools for creating content. and how their customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever questions come up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I’ve experienced is that I’m not able to schedule Instagram Reels directly through Hootsuite. Since Reels are a big part of engagement strategies now, it would be really helpful to include them in our content calendar like other post types. Hopefully, that feature becomes available soon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has really helped simplify my day-to-day work. I’m in charge of managing social media, and sometimes it can be a bit chaotic trying to stay on top of everything—especially with multiple platforms and needing to get all posts reviewed before publishing. Now, I can schedule everything in advance (usually about a month out), and my team leader can easily review and edit posts right in the platform. It’s taken a lot of the back-and-forth out of the process and helped us stay more organized and consistent.

Overall, it just makes my job a lot smoother and less stressful

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how it crops my photos sometime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning my content to go up during my day off.

Loved Hoot for 5 years now...but may be time for a switch with the Price Increases

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is simple. It is easy to learn initially and use daily. I like the calendar view. I don't use the social listening much, but could. I like that you can preview content while creating it and also edit posts that are already scheduled very easily. I also love the new hashtag generator - fast, easy, and always accurate!
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics have been spotty and could definitely use some love from the dev team. There are always exclamations or asterisks to the reporting that I must explain to clients and sometimes it just looks down-right inaccurate-scary! I know the AI is new, but very basic and not really helpful. My biggest complaint is the drastic price increases in the last 2--3 years. My plan more than doubled. I get inflation, but no features added. Now, while I am paying ALOT in my opinion for the middle plan at $99/month which includes up to 10 social accounts, I need to upgrade to the next and only available plan to add one other social plan (no other users) and it will then cost me $250/month MORE THAN DOUBLE what I am paying now as a small agency/freelancer! Hoot really needs to diversify it's packages past the basic three-prong approach!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage several business accounts for my clients and need to schedule many social posts far ahead.
