My experience using Hootsuite
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly create content in order to post to multiple social media channels
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite's api for x (formally twitter) is limited with respects to number of characters (280) and does not take into account a user having a premium account which allows one to post more characters in native x (formerly twitter)
Also, would like the ability to easily schedule a recurring post, currently I have to duplicate the post.

Simplicity, multitasking features and reliance
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, a part the price, but aren't we always want all to be cheaper... I do not see anything that really poops out as a bad experience, but perhpas to improve the AI tool, and the issues of integration of social media accounts, but more related to third parties (e.g. Meta) than the tool

What do you like best about the product?
Usually apps to manage other apps come with complications or connection errors that create discord between the 2 and hinder the experience. Hootsuite works seamlessly with the social websites and apps to genuinely make posting on multiple accounts actively easy. The inputting and editing process is perfect, allowing you to add main content and then tweak for each socials account to suit that persona. The calendar section is great for visualising weekly/ monthly planning, and the AI options can boost your post nicely should you need it. Everything I want is right there to get an engaging and relevant post to suit each platform quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside of Hootsuite is that the emojis that are on there do differ to the ones on the social media accounts themselves. I have to check the different apps to see what emojis will actually look like once posted if it's one that's less used as they show completely different on Hootsuite, and can change the feel of the post. This is a minor inconvenience, but the only real downside I can think of. If this was updated so the emojis were in line with those that post, it would be perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have time to research how well our socials are doing - Hootsuite does this for me so I can see what is or isn't working and continue in that theme.
It allows me to construct all social posts together and cross post whilst alerting the style and format to fit each platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Really useful for scheduling, enjoy the analytics functions, has made life a lot easier
What do you dislike about the product?
It glitches a lot and does not like working on safari or microsoft edge. It can be really tempramental.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can easily see and edit changes on socials and makes sure it goes through a checking process, as well as being able to schedule posts for when you're not working.
Hootsuite Has Some Great Features, But It's Very Difficult To Set Up
What do you like best about the product?
1) I like the unified inbox, although I have yet to be able to connect YouTube comments to the inbox (although I'm told in some forums that it is possible). This is the reason I chose Hootsuite over all of their many other competitors. However, if I can't get Hootsuite set up and stable in the next couple of days (before my trial period expires), I may well be choosing a competitor.
2) I like the fact that Hootsuite can manage and track my paid advertising campaigns in the various social media platforms.
3) The concept of being able to write a post and manipulate it to be viewed properly on multiple platforms is intriguing.
4) I'm posing daily on multiple platforms for my business. Hootsuite promises to simplify that task. The idea of managing all of that from one dashboard is appealing.
5) I love Hootsuite's marketing campaign. They have good marketing showing what their software should be able to do for you. Unfortunately, execution isn't superb.

1) Every time I go into Hootsuite I'm asked to connect to social media platforms although I've done this 4 times already;
2) There is no live chat feature or phone support available. Hootsuite is an expensive program and for this price I would expect expert 24/7 tech support. This alone may be the reason I cancel my subscription. It is an exercise in futility to obtain support. If you work hard at it, you will find their support on X (Twitter) and you may get some answers.
3) The setup of Hootsuite is unnecessarily complex and confusing. This should be simple, but Hootsuite makes it hard causing the software to be almost unworkable.
4) Overall, I have been very disappointed with Hootsuite. It's fantastic in concept and if it worked as advertised I would be their #1 fan and would stick with them for life. Unfortunately, they have yet to deliver on their engaging advertising.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, Hootsuite is causing more problems than it's solving. Installation is a nightmare. For a company that's been around as long as you've been, I'm surprised at the difficulty at setup. I've been involved with technology for over 30 years. I've written code, set up networks, and performed tech support for a lot of big name companies. I'm using a new computer running Intel and Windows 11 that is up-to-date. So, before you assert that the problem is a lack of technical aptitude on my end, you should check out your own software.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it easy to schedule posts across various platforms and for multiple business accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once a post is scheduled to multiple platforms and saved, if you need to make edits, you have to make the edits to each individual platform which is inconvenient. Would be great if you could go back into the originally created post and make edits that will apply to all platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having to manually post directly onto the platform on the day of the post, rather than being able to future date posts.
This social management tool is a lifesaver for maintaining brand consistency!

Being able to manage all of your social posts from one platform to reach your audience is such a huge timesaver!

At a franchise level, there seem to be some cross-platform limitations so that some things must be duplicated manually.

I love that I don't have to take the time to log in to multiple social accounts to post the same thing in different formats
One of the best in class options for social media content posting & social media analytics
What do you like best about the product?
In a space with so many social media content posting tools, I think what separates Hootsuite from the pack is their built-in approval workflow for posts, and their social media analytics tools that help us know how we are performing against benchmarks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite can get pricey if you need to manage a global enterprise with multiple regional channels. It's interface also is a little clunky, and unfortunately social platforms like LinkedIn are starting to prioritize advantages to posting natively within their platforms – all which makes us have to ask on an annual basis "Is the cost worth it to renew Hootsuite?" So far the answer has been yes, but Hootsuite is often walking a fine line there.

Hootsuite gives us the ease of social media management across 15+ channels and on major platforms like LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram, all under one roof.

It makes scheduling content in advance convenient and gives a clear picture of what's coming up.

We've had some difficulty with posts failing to send after they've been scheduled.

It saves time and allows us to post content even when we're not in.

What do you like best about the product?
It has been a good platform to work with. There are a few glitches but our representative is always willing to find a fix. They like to do check ins often to make sure we are still liking what we pay for. It is fairly simple to learn how to use. If you have questions about it, the Hootsuite representatives are good to teach you how to use it. We use Hootsuite all day, every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a glitch with posting Instagram Reels sometimes. Hootsuite has yet to resolve our issue but they are working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It brings all of our platforms into one and makes it really easy to respond all in one place.
