Clear Browser Visibility and Easy Deployment for Spotting Risky Activity
What do you like best about the product?
LayerX gives us a clear view into what’s happening inside the browser, especially across the SaaS and AI tools we rely on. Deployment was straightforward and didn’t require any major changes to how employees work day to day. I also appreciate that it runs across the common browsers our teams already use. The dashboard makes it easy to quickly spot risky activity and flag unusual data transfers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform offers a wide range of policy options, so the initial setup takes some planning. Adding a few more preset configurations would make onboarding faster and help get things up and running more smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our teams rely heavily on web applications, which used to make browser activity a real blind spot for us. LayerX helps us monitor file transfers, account usage, and AI interactions directly in the browser. As a result, we can quickly spot unsanctioned tools or other risky behavior before it becomes a bigger issue. Overall, it has significantly improved our visibility into browser-based threats and day-to-day activity.
LayerX Delivers Seamless AI Security Oversight Without Slowing Developers
What do you like best about the product?
Our engineering teams regularly use AI tools for coding assistance and research. LayerX helps us keep visibility into those interactions and reduces the risk of sensitive code being shared accidentally. The platform can flag risky prompts and apply guardrails when needed. Overall, it gives us the security oversight we need without getting in the way of developer workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring the policies takes a bit of planning to ensure developer workflows stay smooth. Once the initial setup is done, though, it’s been running reliably ever since.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One concern we had was developers accidentally sharing proprietary code with AI services. LayerX helps address that risk by monitoring prompts and file uploads, so sensitive information is less likely to be exposed. It also gives our security team clearer visibility into how AI tools are being used across the organization. Overall, it lets developers keep using AI in their day-to-day work while still protecting the company’s intellectual property.
Effortless BYOD Security with Full Browsing Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
LayerX has worked well for securing remote employees and BYOD environments. Deploying the browser extension made the rollout straightforward, without the need to install heavy agents on devices. Even so, we still get full visibility into browsing activity and data transfers. It also supports multiple browsers, which made adoption easier across different teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
User onboarding took a bit of explanation so employees understood the purpose of the extension. After the initial rollout, though, the platform has been straightforward and easy to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As more of our employees work remotely, we needed a reliable way to protect company data on unmanaged devices. LayerX lets us enforce security controls directly in the browser, so we can block risky uploads and keep an eye on suspicious activity even when people are using personal machines. Overall, it’s helped us secure remote access without adding extra complexity for the team.
Agentless Monitoring for Risky File Activity Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The platform allows us to monitor risky activities, such as file uploads and downloads, without deploying any heavy agents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the dashboard isn’t very clear when I’m reviewing certain alerts or investigating events, which can make it harder to quickly understand what’s going on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us with insight into browser-level activity across our SaaS tools, which helps prevent accidental data exposure through unauthorized uploads.
LayerX Delivers Real-Time Visibility and Easy-to-Manage Identity Controls
What do you like best about the product?
LayerX provides strong visibility into how data moves through web and SaaS applications. We can monitor uploads, downloads, and other browser activity in real time, which makes it easier to understand what’s happening as it happens. The identity-based controls also help ensure employees use corporate accounts when accessing company resources. Overall, the interface is clear and straightforward, and it’s easy for our security team to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial policy tuning took some testing to ensure our workflows weren’t interrupted. Once I adjusted the rules, the system became stable and has been easy to maintain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization relies heavily on SaaS tools, which can create risk around file sharing and data transfers. LayerX lets us monitor and control these activities directly in the browser, and it helps prevent sensitive data from being uploaded to unapproved locations. As a result, our overall data protection has improved.
Effective AI Governance with Smart, Non-Disruptive Sensitive Data Warnings
What do you like best about the product?
The AI governance features are very useful for organizations adopting generative AI tools. LayerX lets us monitor prompts, responses, and data interactions across multiple AI platforms in one place. The warning prompts that appear when sensitive data could be shared are especially effective, helping users make safer decisions without blocking their work or slowing them down.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics dashboard could use a few more built-in reporting options. It’s not a major issue, but exporting data sometimes takes extra filtering on my end. Aside from that, the platform runs smoothly and meets our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest concern with AI tools was the risk of accidental data exposure. LayerX lets us detect and control sensitive information before it gets shared in prompts. It has also helped us identify shadow AI tools that employees were experimenting with. With that added visibility, we were able to put clearer policies in place while still allowing teams to benefit from AI.
Real-Time Protection That Helps Reduce Phishing Incidents
What do you like best about the product?
It has been very helpful for us in reducing phishing incidents by monitoring browser activity and blocking malicious pages in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup took some time to understand, mainly because I needed to define the rules for different user groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us block employees from accessing phishing pages and other suspicious websites directly in the browser.
Lightweight Browser Extension Security with Clear Visibility Across Browsers
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to secure unmanaged devices was a major reason we adopted LayerX. Many of our employees work remotely on personal devices, and the browser extension deployment let us enforce security policies without having to install heavy agents. Even with that lightweight approach, the platform still gives us clear visibility into risky activity and data transfers. It also works across different browsers, which made rollout and adoption much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
User onboarding required clear, consistent communication so employees understood why the extension was needed. At first, some people were concerned about privacy, but once we explained the scope of the monitoring, those worries eased.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can prevent sensitive data from being copied or uploaded to unsafe locations. It also detects suspicious browser activity that may indicate compromised accounts. Overall, this has given our security team stronger control and visibility over remote access.
LayerX Delivers Strong Browser Security and Visibility Across SaaS Apps
What do you like best about the product?
Most of our day-to-day work happens in SaaS applications, so browser security is critical for us. LayerX monitors file uploads, downloads, and data movement across web apps, which helps us keep better visibility into how information is handled. The identity-based controls also make it easier to ensure employees use only corporate accounts when accessing company resources. On top of that, it flags suspicious activity, such as unusual file transfers, so we can catch potential issues early.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial rollout required close coordination across several teams so we didn’t end up blocking legitimate workflows. A few users also saw warning prompts when uploading files, but that improved once we refined the policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using LayerX, we were concerned that employees might upload sensitive files to personal SaaS accounts. Now we can automatically restrict those actions, which helps ensure company data stays within approved corporate accounts.
