Nice drag and drop RESTful web services platform with built in API management/security features
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the web services, RAML, API management, and cloud functionalities are all seamlessly connected. It works together very nicely and doesn't feel disjointed or messy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep, especially for people new to this type of programming model. Some of the documentation is also outdated or poorly written and not very helpful, especially when comparing v3.9 versus v4.x.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been building microservices for my customer using Mulesoft. We need to connect several legacy systems to Salesforce and want a scalable ESB for future applications to use as well. We have really liked how easy it is to monitor the performance and problems that arise while our applications are deployed and running.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Because Mulesoft is now owned by Salesforce, I would highly suggest that Salesforce customers using a non-Mulesoft ESB switch to it.

Ease of orchestrating required transformations. Product Quality and Support

Some trivial bugs at times. At times certain features are expected to be there already.

ll the components are very useful for developing the APIs so don't think any thing is here to be disliked

Most recommended ESB
Great tool, but not for people who give up easily
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to develop my own connectors and use them from the exchange. I also like the frequent events.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was more Windows-friendly. Also, it is quite a RAM hog at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL and creating a service bus.

More Windows friendly. Also the ability to update Design Center RAML from Anypoint Studio.

Amazing Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Using it since one year, a rich environnement, lots of possibilites.
The only problem is memory consumption.
But as a tool that gives a total freedom in designing APIs and managing the whole life cycle..it's really worthy trying.

The broad versatility of this platform, and its approachability to a variety of skill levels.

There can be a fair bit of quirky behavior from different connectors, and the upgrade cycle is a lot for small teams to keep up with.

Near-real-time ETL and data integration across the enterprise enables business process automation and "composability" of our information operations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Carefully consider the costs your operation incurs, these can quickly be offset by this product. This is best for teams with distributed engagement across the enterprise, as a single administrator/integrator will quickly be overwhelmed with requests for work.
