Rancher Review
What do you like best about the product?
Best tool for managing multiple Production clusters of Kubentes orchestration. Easy to deploy services, scale and monitor services on multiple clusters. One of the upside advantages for Rancher is we can start Rancher easily and multiple cluster with multiple physical nodes added to each cluster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would recommend to release use cases, documentation in Rancher doc's as soon as new Version is released.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating multiple clusters within less time. Add multiple nodes to a single Kubernrtes cluster.
Excellent

Security and insightful environment of robus containers

What do you dislike about the product?
Here if the container didn't start we cannot logged into container or check the exact issue, for that we need to check it from cli of kubernetes.
(i)Occasional complexity in setting up and configuring the cluster.
(ii)Performance issues in large-scale deployments.
(iii)Limited customization options for specific use cases.
(iv)Dependency on Kubernetes for some features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rancher makes it easy for us to manage all our EKS clusters from one place instead of dealing with them separately. We can also organize different projects within those clusters more efficiently. This saves us time and hassle. Plus, Rancher gives us a clear view of what's going on in our clusters and works well with other tools we use, making everything smoother and more flexible for our team.
Helpful in managing Kubernetes clusters
What do you like best about the product?
Rancher is a place where we can manage our Kubernetes clusters. It provides one platform where we can see all the clusters, nodes and their configurations and navigate through various namespaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It is a useful platform that our team uses everyday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anytime that one of our applications is down, we can directly go to the rancher and troubleshoot it. We can scale up or down manually without using commands and view configurations such as the node scheduling, scaling policy and the YAML of the manifest files.
Kubernetes Cluster Management
What do you like best about the product?
Cluster Management at your fingertips. Deploy to the cloud or bare metal, import your clusters as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
To date in my use case, I've not come across any major issues. Currently running version 2.7.6.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single management interface to my clusters.
Great tool for large infrastructure and multi-cluster setup
What do you like best about the product?
It's a perfect tool for multi-cluster deployment management and monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is lacking for integration cases, would love to see more of it published
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
K8s cluster deployment, management and monitoring . We use it for 3 separate data centers; our DevOps team reduced the amount of manual work they do by half in just a few months.
Solid k8s tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to deploy k8s cluster with Rancher; you don't need to be a hardcore devops guy to do it. Visibility is key; junior staff can manage it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it's getting better with every release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
K8S for tests and production enviroment deployement and management
Kubernetes the easy way.
What do you like best about the product?
I think Rancher is one of the simplest ways to get a production-ready Kubernetes Cluster up and running. When I remember right, only a few well-documented commands were necessary to set up the cluster and get it up and running. A few more Clicks and config entries in the Rancher GUI then enabled monitoring, logging (with an already setup Backend for the logging data), and a storage solution (longhorn).
A later run kube-hunter didn't show severe problems regarding the security, even though I mainly used standard entries.
The Rancher community and employees were also constructive in answering questions or providing how-tos (line for MetalLB), making implementing those solutions straightforward.

What do you dislike about the product?
In a HA setup, the overhead on Nodes you need for the Clusters themselves is pretty high (assuming the use of RKE and etcd):
Three nodes for the Rancher Cluster
Five nodes for the downstream clusters (2 for the Control plane and 3 for etcd ) + x nodes for the workload
Other than that - Rancher makes me too spoiled and lazy to look for other add-ins and solutions that Rancher does not prepare ;)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am running a complicated application using some available products and some self-written code in containers. Benefits were a stable and easy to setup/maintain infrastructure.
Fits everywhere!
What do you like best about the product?
Based on standards, no vendor lock-in, fits everywhere, manages everything and everywhere!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything very critical yet! When multi-tenancy is in place, everything is pretty good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There were multiple Kubernetes platforms, no standard tool to manage them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a lot of demand for Rancher kind of solution. If your environment is "mixed" between private, hybrid, cloud, hyperscalers, etc. - then you should look especially Rancher!
Get in control of your container orchestration infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive management capabilities across various use cases, ease of deployment, and straightforward to get to value quickly. Not that many tools out there that are useful when systematizing the Kubernetes-related management tasks. The platform, the tools and the community are great to work with and provide plenty of opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
More work on deployable apps still needed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing and controlling Public Cloud Kubernetes deployments and systematizing on-premise Kubernetes management for our own infrastructure and customers.
