Simple monitoring of containerization process
What do you like best about the product?
RBAC simple management is one of the best upsides in rancher, attaching rancher post creation process to manage RBAC, ingress and get simple UI overview of what is going on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's some how intrusive in the communication between the contol plane and the nodes, it could be better to how to connect more with these specific parts so I can manage fully from my UI setup
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said before how the interface rancher providing is simple and straight to the point, simply it make the whole RBAC management more easier and of course it saved me a lot of time.

Supports installing repository for helm charts from graphical console

Meanwhile performance issue with a high load on cluster

The Rancher is itself run in a kubernetes cluster either a full cluster using RKE for high availability or in a docker container using K3s.

Nothing to mention cons here. It's growing company with there business entity.

Its interface is simple and easy to use. Great platform for container services

So far I have not faced any issue. The services are quite good

Using Rancher I can easily set up and use the microservice application
Rancher help us to visualise and manage cluster in a better way.

Viewing and modifying of resources in cluster and accessing them easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to installation of rancher all other namespaces in our cluster get stuck on deletion due to finalizer

moving from docker to Rancher is little steep learning curve besides nothing else

being a constant learner, it really easy for me understand Kubernetes as play ground. The skills later can be used in production environment
A great product
What do you like best about the product?
Rancher is the best when it comes to automatic scaling and an interactive GUI to get started with your Kubernetes clusters. It helps to get started with Kubernetes even if you don't have a large IT department.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike as it is getting better but I hope in future that the Rancher created Kubernetes clusters have the ability to get detached from the Rancher Kubernetes management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can now have a better deployment with my Kubernetes. The visibility alongside productivity of our department increased greatly after using Rancher.

The SSO is limited, could do with generic / more providers like Auth0
At times, updates on the webpage go stale and require a hard refresh
If set up in HA mode in a K8s cluster, restart times can be a little slow (room to improve)

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to set up and use, with the docker setup. It's free and full-featured. Test it out, works as advertised with constant feature improvements.
Good kubernetes management system
What do you like best about the product?
Provides a good UI wrapper around Kubernetes and makes easy to use. Has a good layer of access management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs access to the internet. Cost it a little high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was complicated to run Kubernetes by itself. With the wrapper is visually appealing and makes it easier to maintain.
