Ideal for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
If your company is just getting their feet wet in the world of social media marketing and communications, HootSuite is by far the easiest platform to begin to develop your social media campaigns. The option to try before you buy as well as the ability to assign tasks to team members means you can dive right in and build out your company's social media strategy from a central place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free options are limiting - you can only import 3 social media accounts but this is enough to get you started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company did not have a social media presence or plan in place prior to my hire. The goal was to increase the company's social presence in hopes of attracting new clients and customers. In the first 2 month's we've seen new potential leads and increased walk-in traffic as well as an increase in web registrations. Consistency is key and we hope to continue to use HootSuite as part of our social engagement initiatives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your business's needs. Make sure you've thought out your social media plan before jumping into any platform. Have a six-month implementation plan in place and decide if the tools offered by HootSuite will work for your plan.

Multi-purpose Social App
What do you like best about the product?
Great, easy to use, allows monitoring across social networks, great scheduling capabilities- with accurate read on posting times, can be used by multiple users to allow for easy collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
pushing to Instagram can get buggy at times, doesn't always predict handles on Twitter + Facebook accurately and users need to double check or enter manually.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can schedule posts in advance. When balancing real life and internet life, hootsuite is a lifesaver. The most important thing when it comes to social media is staying present and constantly active, hootsuite helps me achieve that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the layout at times. The way certain boxes pop up at time only when you scroll over. I think the interface could be planned out better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of being able to stay active on the internet while actually being able to live my life, without worrying about needing to post.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I told my friend last week who is starting to handle the social media at her job to use hootsuite to help with the process and to ease her into it. Especially since she is not crazy about having to use twitter, I believe hootsuite will help change her opinion of Twitter and dealing with social media to begin with since it wont be taking up her day to day life.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to be able to see many streaming lists of personalized social media posts at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think perhaps the ability to shift between columns, or have more options within the columns would be helpful. We sometimes run out of room for additional hashtags, etc. and have to delete some old ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're scheduling posts, monitoring what others say about us, and looking at potential risks to our brand and our company.
Great for social media platform integration
What do you like best about the product?
It's user friendly and great for timing out social media blasts ahead of time which makes prepping easier on busier days or vacation times.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface and usability could be improved and so could it's functions.

Social media control and timing have been streamlined.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easily you can integrate all the different social platforms. I also enjoy how user friendly it is to add 1 post to multiple social accounts such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook all at once!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have any complaints when it comes to the UI!

I am trying to manage multiple clients at once and HootSuite is the most user friendly option to post for 6 clients in one space.

If you want an easy and cheap space to manage your social media, as a digital marketer and SMM, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Hootsuite helps my business stay on track with social posts, from scheduling to maintaining the number of views and shares.
What do you dislike about the product?
An integration with bit.ly could be helpful.

Organizing the social media suite. The benefits have included easily scheduling social posts.

Absolutely worth the time and effort to complete a robust social plan.
Don't regularly use it, but good in a pinch

I can more easily find Facebook posts about the topics and trends I'm monitoring for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not great if you want to look back at Facebook posts over time--I haven't used Hootsuite in a while, but it's hard to filter
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many social monitoring platforms are not great at crawling Facebook. Hootesuite seems to be the best platform for monitoring Facebook.

Use this if your priority is monitoring Facebook in real time.
