It's great when it works, but sometimes it does not post.

You can schedule social posts in advance and save time as a result.

What do you like best about the product?
Many social media connections opportunities to connect multiple accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout can be overwhelming and confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the area of communications and social media strategy. I currently use Buffer, but am open to others like Sprout Social. I'd also be willing to take another look at Hootsuite.

Great Product, Easy to Use

What do you like best about the product?
This is a powerful and easy to use software to post across several social media channels and manage them as well, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The CSV upload for the bulk scheduler is not as intuitive as I would like. It is okay once you get used to it, but it is difficult to adjust to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling social media all at one time for a week or more at a time is a huge advantage. It makes my job much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent solution software for teams and marketing departments in need of one stop social media management and analytics.

What do you like best about the product?
Allows you to schedule posts in a Facebook group, where Facebook doesn't.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a great user interface. kind of dated, but it works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't use this service anymore, but I saw the benefit of being able to link multiple accounts to it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would probably recommend it for now. It's a decent tool for the price.

I like that you can control multiple social media platforms at one time via same application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it does not show the most recent in the whole timeline - or occasionally things get lost. In the mix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimization of the social media platforms is an intricate part of the day. Having them in one place, saves time toggling between others.

Convenient Solution

What do you like best about the product?
The convenience of being able to post to a variety of media without a lot of hassle in one interface. I also like that there's a mobile app since a lot of times I need to post when I'm not by a computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs have gone way up, to the point where it's hard to justify the convenience at some points. Manage volunteers, and we are limited with adding volunteers to help with social media b/c we have to pay for each individual user. Needed some reporting and that was crazy expensive ($50). I also had some issues with images on Facebook posts from RSS fees for one of my clients. Apparently this is a known issue, but not one they are going to fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to reach a variety of audiences, and measure the results of those posts to see where we can improve and where we are missing. Have been able to post so far without a ton of issues, but unfortunately the reporting falls short b/c it's expensive and we are a non profit with a limited budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely do a free trial prior to using Hootsuite b/c it will help you decide if you like the interfaces and mobile app, etc... While it's not my favorite, it's OK. The decision was not up to me, but if it was I'm not sure I'd choose it b/c initially the interface can be a little confusing, but I got used to it after a while.

Makes Planning Campaigns So Easy

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows me to create a media calendar, approve the media calendar, and input the media calendar for weeks or months at a time. This takes a huge burden off my plate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have anything negative to say. I am sure that people more savvy with technology could find some weak spots, but for my purposes, Hootsuite worked just fine!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite solves the time management problem of coordinating social media posts for multiple clients. It truly makes a world of difference to coordinate, set, and go!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take advantage of the monitoring tools as well!

What do you like best about the product?
I find it pretty easy to go through my various news feeds, as well as scheduling posts in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the native versions of the platforms have features unsupported in Hootsuite. Also using it for Instagram still requires using Instagram on your phone - it preschedules reminders only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves time by prescheduling posts ahead of time, rather than having to set an alarm for posts that have to go out at a certain time. There are some good reporting tools in there as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a solid social media management tool, very similar to Sprout Social and Buffer and other tools in this category. Not sure if it's particularly better or worse.
