A great way to free up time during the week

  • November 03, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can post to all the pages I'm responsible for and see everything in one neat platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been glitchy recently and I have to delete the scheduled post and redo it if I need to change the picture.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company hadn't tracked analytics before, so Hootsuite gives us a great view of how we are performing.

A Hootsuite Of A Plan

  • November 03, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Hootsuite is that it allows you to have all of your social media feeds on one page. This is awesome if you have several feeds and you need to monitor them in real time. The other thing that is wonderful is that you can enter a keyword from an article or ad that you are doing and see who's talking about the same topic on social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is its' free version doesn't allow you to schedule multiple posts, in advance throughout a day or week. This feature is available to those who pay. When you start off in a new business everything you do is from a very tight budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to build a fan base and posts to as many social media locations as possible, and I want to stay relevant. This software allows you to do that to a degree. If you can afford it may be best to get the paid version, it offers more options.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an excellent tool, it helps you to monitor your posts on social media. This is great for bloggers and forum writers and monitors. You can follow what's going on even if you are a beginner or experienced user.

Great tool to stay on top of Social Media

  • November 02, 2016

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use in visually seeing scheduled posts. Scheduling posts can sometimes be a pain, with Hootsuite, scheduling becomes much, much easier. Being able to view what is schedule and for when either by the day, week, or month, for me makes it easier to mixup different types of posts and also ensure that one user is not posting over another at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be overwhelming if you do not have your streams setup and organized properly. Thankfully Hootsuite has videos to help a user get organized. Reports, having to pay for reports and analytics, and it is not cheap either. Currently it is $60 per month, in my opinion, it is a bit much for a small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving social media presence. Getting company name in front of more and more potential clients and building a fan base at the same time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a very big player in the game of Social Media Management, however, even though it has great tools to aide you in finding content to post, it will not make content for you. I know when I first began using Hootsuite and Social Media in general for business, the hardest part was content. At first I thought using a Social Media Management tool would just automatically create content, ie. through together a few keywords, etc., and boom content. You still need to find /create the right content for YOUR brand.

The best price-quality solution to manage your social media

  • November 02, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First the ease of use: you can publish on different social media from the same dashboard in minutes, and the final result is perfect. Then the tabs with the different columns help monitor your social media, and I like the possibility to monitor keywords on Twitter to find all the mentions and articles to share. The statistics section used to be a little poor, but now they are working on it and it's improving. Love also the wide availability of integrations with other tools and the chrome add-on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that when a link article is shared, the article picture is not automatically loaded but it's necessary to download the picture and then upload it as an attachment; Buffer does it automatically, so should Hootsuite! Then There is no smart algorithm to detect the best time to post, but you should indicate some best hours in the settings. The interface is a bit messy, it takes some time to use it comfortably, and it's not always clear which Twitter account you are answering from when retweeting or liking a post. Is still not possible to fully manage Instagram, since for this social network there is just a monitoring feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I waste less time for publishing on multiple social media and for keeping track of brand mentions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to understand very well how the publishing area works through some tests, to avoid awkward errors.

It's hard to give a hoot about Hootsuite

  • November 01, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can see all of my feeds on one dashboard, but this view is shared by anyone on my team with access to the account. I do appreciate that I can post to multiple outlets in one window and collapse URLs at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
As great as it is to publish to multiple channels at once, it's not best practice, so I'm still posting to each channel independently. It's difficult to add and subtract channels, and they are only identified by a a small window where a representative icon and name appear. If you lead with your company's name, all of the channels start to look the same and can be confusing. The interface also gives you access to post to Instagram, but this function doesn't work. It doesn't tell you it doesn't work. Instead, you find out when your post never shows up and you review their FAQ section. I understand it's a limitation imposed by Instagram, but it would be great if this were more apparent and Hootsuite offered a kind of Latergram and regram functionality to compensate. Analytics are incredibly weak. I would like to see transparent analytics with information on how things are calculated and why recommendations are being made (for best posting time and day, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team uses Hootsuite for account management, analytics, and monitoring. We often find that the benefits are negligible and end up posting directly to our channels for ease of use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare with other products like Sprout Social. If social media is an important part of your brand, don't skimp on monitoring. I'd feel different if this were a completely free service.

Social Media Automation at it's finest

  • November 01, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite gives me the ability to schedule out posts on Twitter, Facebook (personal and company), LinkedIn (personal, company and to groups), Google+ and Instagram (also to YouTube which is a new feature I haven't tried out yet). I have dashboards set within Hootsuite so I can see all my feeds in one place and they provide analytics for your posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
To enable a 'team' and have other folks in my organization posting drafts for me to approve and publish, I have to move up to the enterprise version, which is thousands compared to the pro package I currently use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm saving time by scheduling out social media posts. It is beneficial to have one website I can log into to see all my social media feeds.

The calendar feature to organize all of your outgoing posts
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that you can't replicate posts and copy them onto other dates

Social postings can take up a lot of time so automating them is really helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend checking out the media streams

Simple & Effective

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use using Hootsuite as a social media management tool is undeniable. The access to multiple social media portals and ease of scheduling makes mapping out a social editorial calendar a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve to the more in depth components of Hootsuite that can be confusing to first-time users. I'm talking about analytics, assignment,s app directory, etc. If you have the time, definitely take some to learn about these features to make a robust social media program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time with social media management was a problem that was noticed and solved with Hootsuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Adding more resources for new users to get acclimated to the software could be a great help with people struggling to grasp some of your components.
