Helps Make a Daily Task Easier

  • July 06, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to create and schedule posts. I love that it helps with shrinking URLs and uploading images, especially with Twitter's limited space.
What do you dislike about the product?
For platforms that have personal and business pages, you have to connect through your personal account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying connected with current customers while attracting potentials.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for simple management, such as scheduling. The app is nice to have as well!

Missing key features

  • July 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Posting on multiple platforms simultaneously
What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to tag images or use @tagging in posts. Image color profiles don't upload with images distorting image color and quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It should have been a time saver but as an artist, not being able to tag and attribute things as needed is a major roadblock. It is nice that it works with iconosquare. Being able to schedule my posts is nice especially since I am normally asleep during my best posting/engagement time frames.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are selling a product that program will work great for your needs across social media. If you are documenting or primarily sharing image posts that need tagging then this program will be more hassle than its worth.

Hootsuite is the way to go if you're active on Twitter

  • July 03, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Hootsuite helps me manage multiple Twitter accounts easily. It allows me to separate my accounts into different tabs, and create multiple streams within each tab. Within each stream, I am able to track things like my home feed, mentions, direct messages, and even search terms and hashtags. This means I can easily follow a Twitter Chat by sending all mentions of a particular hashtag to appear in one stream. Hootsuite also allows you to set an auto-refresh interval so you can always stay current. I often use Hootsuite to schedule Tweets in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I am limited to only 10 streams per tab. Hootsuite's analytics are also not the best. Even though I'm already a monthly subscriber, I don't get much insight unless I upgrade my account even more. I also wish that Facebook wouldn't penalize posts scheduled via third party software. This means I still have to go into the native Facebook site to schedule posts there. I also wish Hootsuite would integrate better with LinkedIn and Instagram. It's still buggy. Navigating the menus can also be kinda confusing sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite helps reduce the overwhelm that comes with managing social media accounts. It puts everything in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot. You can try it for free.

Time management, efficiency and communication.

Use this for most of my promo posts!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the address shrinking box, and the auto scheduler. It helps boost my reach so much, and I love using it to announce sales and new releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that when you signed in, it didn't have another page pop up that you had to go through to get to your dashboard. Just an extra step that isn't needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boosted my reach on FB, helped me generate sales by reaching more people.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The auto scheduling is pretty awesome and accurate.

Great tool that takes too long to implement new features

  • June 30, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a simple tool that allows you to easily access many social channels at once, from one single dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Have to manually refresh feeds after a few minutes of inactivity
- Some of the more advanced features are buried deep into the menus, which makes it almost impossible to find
- Whenever a social channel implements new features (such as GIFs on Twitter, videos, etc.) it always take a long time for Hootsuite to implement it. This makes the platform seem outdated at times.
- The social analytics portion is extremely weak, with a lack of customization features. As a result, I stopped using it a while ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Gained efficiency managing social channels
- No need to sign on to multiple accounts
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team (pro version)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is very easy to set up but getting to the more advanced features can be a bit tricky. I would recommend watching YouTube tutorials to make sure you make the most out of the tool.

Hootsuite Used to Mange Social Postings for Multiple Properties & Profiles

  • June 29, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, free for up to 3 profiles, great for quickly posting to multiple channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find FB is better for scheduling FB posts, especially those with links, as the images pulled in from the links show better on FB than in Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Posting to multiple channels for weeks at a time. It cuts down on execution time vs. having to post to each channel individually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's cost-effective, but there are still publishing options and functionality that could be improved. Great starter tool.

A robust social media management platform for everyone

  • June 28, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the depth and breadth of features and ability to customize your dashboards to your liking. I feel like I have full control of my online presence at my fingertips!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not a lot of complaints right now. It CAN conceivably come across as a bit complicated at first, but after a small learning curve it's very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm working to expand and manage my online presence. In today's digital age, it's important to take advantage of all social media platforms available to you, and being able to manage them all efficiently and effectively is crucial.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite is a great platform with all the tools you could need! They continue to integrate more social media platforms, and if Instagram would just open up their api to allow posting from outside the app it'd be perfect, but that's not a fault of Hootsuite.

Awesome for social media

  • June 28, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to explain to other users, integrates with many social media platforms, great for scheduling content, great for reviewing social media statistics
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not integrate with Instagram well, hard to switch back and forth between accounts if you manage more than one social media brand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite is a great option if your business is using social media, the platform does a great job of allowing several people to collaborate on content and schedule it for the future, then review the results
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely try it out. If your business uses social media, you need Hootsuite.

Great social media scheduler

  • June 27, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Hootsuite helps me to schedule out content On Facebook and Twitter. It is very user friendly and has a lot of cool features. I love that you can bulk schedule things. I love that you can view your social media streams because it enables you to see if you have any noticeable gaps in your schedule. I also like that it makes it easy for you to track down content that you posted through Hootsuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it would help with content curation. I also wish that more platforms were integrated. I have yet to find a social media scheduler that has everything that I need. Ideally, there would be a central location that allowed me to curate content, create content, schedule content, and also review analytics concerning how people engaged with my content. However, as it is, I have to use three different social media schedulers to get everything done. I use Hootsuite for Facebook and Twitter posts. I also use Post Planner for Facebook and Twitter, but the added benefit of Post Planner is that they not only recommend content, they have a way for you to search for content within the system, and they also give you analytics on how that specific piece of content is generally received by readers. I think it would also be nice to be able to use more of the features in the free plan. I am also unsure how you earn points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of being able to have content consistently being posted across social media. It helps me to make good use of my time, if I stay focused on the task at hand. It is also helpful when I work with clients that pay me extra to handle their social media scheduling, though many of them have moved to Meet Edgar.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that Hootsuite is a great social media scheduling tool if you only plan to use a few social media platforms and already have curated your content. It is user-friendly. It could be improved upon by being integrated with more platforms, but it does work with several of the large ones. The free plan is sufficient, though if you want to be able to use more features (such as their insights/analytics trackers), you might want to consider upgrading.
