Hootsuite - All in one Social media management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to run both personal and business social media accounts from the same platform and to switch back and forth with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
When changing employment, disconnecting personal and professional accounts was difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More complete social media management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Research alternative products for comparison - I preferred the layout of Hootsuite to its competitors due to ease of use

Amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can load social media content and not have to think about it! All of my platforms are updated when I decide and I don't have to sit and post on each one. This is so useful and saves so much time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike! It takes some practice to get used to the dashboard but once you do you're good to go

Better Products Out There
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows you to schedule posts ahead of time for multiple social sites- an excellent feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is clunky and unattractive, and there are several major social sites not available for auto-posting on Hootesuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allowed us to plan social posts ahead, saving us marketing time and enabling our staff (who wear multiple hats) to be elsewhere and still enable prime posting times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I canceled our Hootsuite account after discovering other, more useful software that does what Hootsuite does and more.
Easy and Helpful
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of scheduling multiple platforms at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that instagram is so difficult to post to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to ensure regular social media posting without having to have someone assigned specifically to our social media platforms. I have also realized that it is a great tool to keep track of the different timelines to determine what events may need more exposure.
Intuitive and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can add all of my social media accounts and create and publish posts from one platform. I love that it gives me character counts and helps with images.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think my dislikes have more to do with my choice not to upgrade right now - some of the reporting features don't give me as much information as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a variety of accounts across multiple offices... Hootsuite allows us to have a dashboard for each office's social media accounts. Without HootSuite, we would be logging into approximately 20-30 social media accounts on an almost daily basis and publishing each post separately. We wouldn't have the reports on analytics to tell us how well or poorly certain posts are performing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find a sizing chart for various social media image criteria... the various platforms use different sizes and you want to make sure that - even if your post is identical or nearly so from account to account - your images make the biggest impact possible in each account.
Hootsuite - An absolute hoot to use!
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a wonderful tool to take your social media game to a new level. It offers a very easy interface that is simple to navigate while having the ability to manage several different networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) at your fingertips. The analytics it provides when using the link shortener that comes with it are also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still lacking the synchronization with Twitter in regards to using GIF's amongst other features, but gradually Hootsuite has added more and more of the features you would find through using the native apps for each respective social media networks. Would still like to see the ability to control everything in regards to a social media page integrated into Hootsuite before I can rate it a 10 though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit of scheduling your best posts at peak viewing hours has alleviated the problem of having conflicting tasks arise when you would be scrambling to get a post out on time. In recent updates the ability to directly upload a photo without having an annoying shortened link to accompany it is a big gain as well.

That you can pre-schedule social media posts
What do you dislike about the product?
That it doesn't automatically post to Instagram. It notifies you that you need to post based on your scheduled date, but you still have to copy and paste the post into Instagram
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TIME! Setting up posts ahead of time is saving me alot of time. I post on Instagram and Facebook every day for my business, and it's been very efficient.
Easy to use features
What do you like best about the product?
The scheduling feature is easy to use and I like that you can view days, months, or weeks in advance. This is helpful when you have to schedule a lot of posts for a long period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a lot I dislike about Hootsuite. It is very easy to use overall and is pretty self-explanatory, which is good. The one thing I would suggest isn't a huge deal, but I would update the look. It has looked the same for awhile and I think the interface could use an update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am more efficient with scheduling on Twitter and it is easier to check different accounts across Hootsuite. There are many more benefits to Hootsuite, but there are other features that we do not really use. It is used most for scheduling out Twitter posts.

It is easy to use and makes scheduling more efficient.
Great for community management, poor for reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is great for community management - link shortening, replying, uploading media, tagging & assigning tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite falls short on reporting. It falls short of an enterprise tool when it comes to quickly pulling campaign metrics, quarter over quarter, month over month. It's clunky & I'm not thrilled with the reporting structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social Media reporting, Community Management

While this tool is great for basic community management, it falls short on metrics.
Once an industry leader, not a great fit for now
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite offers a very practical solution for anyone looking to easily manage social media platforms within one interface. At the low end of the program, the price is acceptable and for three or four social channels with some minimal analytics and one or two users it is likely all that you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite gets expensive very quickly, especially once you start adding on any sort of additional team members. The fact that basic analytics reports are often paid add-ons and are not graphically anything I'd want to share with a client reduce their usefulness. The apps you can also pay to add within the dashboard are often glitchy and the user interface is not very friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of multiple social media accounts under one interface. Saves time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't get roped into an enterprise account, the cost isn't worthwhile compared to other products on the market and the customer service is terrible once they've hooked you. You'll only hear from them when they sense an opportunity to make more money off of you.
