Red Hat jBoss Data Virtualization Review
What do you like best about the product?
Heterogeneous data storage is one of the major feature. It is extremely helpful for Java developersblike me. It also provides easy installation and integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find it to be cost effective. There are other better product available in same price range. UI could have been better and troubleshooting issues can be a bit challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm currently using it on application side. It's used by several other java developers in mh team. It's quite flexible to use and easy to understand.

Red hat jBoss data virtualization provides the best Data security management and also speedy access to distributed data

It is one of the best in itself. there is no dislikes at present

Red hat jBoss data virtualization helps me in solving in terms security,storage,scalability and access to our organization's data and also provide good analytics

JBoss Data Virtualization provides an efficient way to integrate and build a unified virtual layer on top of different data sources and applications.
The best part is that the data is presented as coming from a single source.

Documentation could be improved. It is tough to find relevant documentation, especially when there are issues. Troubleshooting details are complex, and the steps are often not straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had to integrate data from enterprise applications, CSV generated by custom applications and NoSQL data from a third party. Jboss data virtualization came to our rescue to get the integration done faster and generate timely insights.

Composing the data from these data sources can be complex and the learning curve is quite steep

It's helping my business solve data aggregation from different data sources as we gather data in different forms and we like to extrapolate meaningful insights

What do you like best about the product?
Red Hat jBoss Data Virtualization enables my team to study the entire organization data and get the most useful information. The software has streamlined the data networking infrastructure and improved planning. The user interface has simple user dashboard that displays performance efficiently in graphical representation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been able to monitor and control data effectively since we deployed this software. I have experienced few cases of downtimes but the overall performance has impressed all the teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis and extraction of real-time analytics has helped teams in planning and making great decisions. There is great improvement in management of workflows and minimization of errors across the workflow chain. We have increased revenue and increased production from clean data integration in the applications.

Subscription billing can be more transparent and more detailed

Working with cloud native solutions and associating visualization compatible for hybrid cloud is our organizationational challenge we would be hoping to add that as well for our future prospects

Primary benefit is security and complex for new user. New to market less number of trainers available.

Please use smartly and carefully, then only it will cost effective

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility. We can configure it however we want, we have it configured to use LDAPS for authentication and have all interfaces encrypted and setting that up was pretty straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Logging. Troubleshooting issues are not straight forward, often requires logging changes. I hope it will better soon in coming years. I used it in 2018 and 2019.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We am using Red Hat JBoss Data Virtualization to abstract the underlying data sources away from our applications. Currently the primary use is to allow some flexibility while we retire an Informix based system.

If you are looking for flexibility it is amazing product to use.
