Streamlined SEC Reporting with Easy Use, Needs Better High-Traffic Speed
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease-of-use factor in Workiva. It makes everything accessible by having all necessary items centralized in one location, which is really helpful for linking and storing documents for SEC reporting, especially for 10-Q and 10-K filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes during high traffic times, like filing close deadlines, the program runs a little slow. It would be great to help speed up the system during those critical times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making SEC reporting more efficient with its functions, allowing our team to focus on other process improvement projects and critical analyses.

Real-Time Updates and a Smooth, Clean Interface That Saves Hours
What do you like best about the product?
What fascinated me most is the way it links the data: everything updates in real time when I make a change. The interface is quite clean, and the platform feels incredibly smooth to use. Thanks to this, it has saved me a lot of manual tasks and hours of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is that the customization options feel very rigid, and the price is extremely high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using this tool, it was frustrating dealing with so many duplicate files and constantly making mistakes. It helped me centralize everything in one place and set up access control, which has saved me a significant amount of time. Everything runs smoothly now, and I’m able to close everything successfully.

Clean, Centralized Platform That Automatically Links Data and Documents
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most is how clean and well-organized the platform is, and how it manages to centralize everything in one place. I especially like that it automatically links data and documents—something I used to spend far too much time doing manually in spreadsheets. Now everything is much more structured and easier to manage, and above all, we work with fewer errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem is that when I try to customize the templates, the links sometimes break and cause issues. There’s hardly any freedom to modify things, and it’s complicated to configure. It would be better if it were more fluid—something I could control more easily—because right now it feels quite tedious to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything used to feel chaotic: we were working with outdated documents, there were errors everywhere, and we wasted a lot of time. This tool helped me get much more organized. The best part is that multiple users can work on the same document with the right permissions and security, and everything updates in real time. It has saved me hours (even days) of work, and because of that I can finish my closing much more efficiently.
Boosts Collaboration with Top-Notch Features
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user interface of Workiva because it has functions very similar to Excel, which gives us the opportunity to build and customize all reporting functions like formatting, formulas, and charts. The functions are easy to use and there are plenty of training options available. This is particularly important as we continue to add more users and reports, such as the proxy statement. I also really appreciate the Workiva sync feature because it prevents manual copy/paste errors and creates a seamless link from our external reporting package in Excel to our financials. Additionally, the peer disclosure benchmarking tool not only pulls peer data, but uses AI to compare it to our current disclosures and provides suggestions.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are currently under-utilizing the Smart Linking feature. It would be helpful to have additional trainings to better understand common use cases, when to use a regular link vs. smart link, and other helpful Smart Linking features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva provides a centralized reporting tool for collaboration, version control, and audit evidence. The interface is like Excel, easy for customization, and prevents manual errors through seamless data syncing. The peer disclosure benchmarking and AI comparison tool is also helpful.
Streamlined SEC Filings with Reliable Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva makes it simple to update filings from period to period and streamlines the SEC filing process. I appreciate the good service from our reps whenever we've had questions about new offerings. The .docx importer we recently used was a big time-saver for attaching agreements to our filings. I also find it easier to turn around our filings quickly with features like rolling forward reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still a manual process involved with rolling forward our financials that Workiva has a solution for, but it's an additional charge. I think cost is a primary deterrent, when new features could be bundled into our existing service.

I use Workiva to make updating filings simple and streamline the SEC filing process. It saves us time, especially with features like the .docx importer and rolling forward reports, making it easier to quickly turn around our filings.
Workiva Keeps Risks, Controls, and Evidence Organized with Smooth Linking
What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use Workiva for control testing and documentation. It’s convenient to keep risks, controls and evidence in one place rather than having to dig through multiple folders. The linking between sheets and docs works smoothly, and the audit trail makes it easy to review changes and see what was updated. Permissions are also useful, especially when I need to share sensitive files with the righ People.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some workflows feel limited,particularly when multiple reviewers are involved. The UI can also feel a bit crowded at times, which makes it harder to focus on the plus side, the templates save me a lot of time when I’m doing repeat reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva replaced our scattered files and long email threads. As a result, our audit work is much easier to track, and the review process feels far more organized. We make fewer mistakes, spend less time rechecking details and our close cycles move faster.
