What do you like best about the product?

Everyone I have worked with over the years has been wonderful to work with. The platform is user friendly and always evolving.

What do you dislike about the product?

A few of the negative items I had a Workiva representative was able to assist me in to working through and helping me out with it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workiva is helping us with all our SEC needs and having the auditors be able to review our filings in the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?

It is not super intuitive. There are too many times that I have to ask customer service. Even when I ask ChatGPT, it is not well versed in how Workiva operates.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it for Form 4s, 10Ks, 10Qs, and the Proxy. It helps us make these more streamlined.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that Workiva is easy to use and intuitive. The functionality is simple, the learning curve is quick, and it gives me what I need without being too complicated. It keeps my work papers, documentation, and attachments organized in one central place, and it’s easy to retrieve everything. I especially like the attachments: I can upload almost any format, including Word, Adobe, and Excel documents, and it’s easy to mark them up and download them. Setup was very easy, even with limited instruction, and I figured the rest out on my own. Workiva is well liked by everybody in my department.

What do you dislike about the product?

I really don't like that when I press the End key, it takes me to the end of the form instead of the end of the sentence like a normal Word document. Every other button acts like I'm in Word, but the End key doesn't, and that pisses me off.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Workiva to keep my audit workpapers and SOX documentation—tick marks, write-ups, test designs and results, tester notes, and attachments—in one central, easy-to-find spot.

It is a little clunky at times. The home/landing page is not intuitive

What do you like best about the product?

I like that Workiva is relatively simple but effective and doesn’t try to get too fancy. It makes it easier to carry files forward and manage Excel schedules, and those schedules work their way into the documents effectively. The links throughout a document are really important: when I update a number in one spot, it updates everywhere, which helps keep the information consistent and makes it easier to trace the basis for numbers in audit and legal reviews. I also appreciate Workiva for Edgarization and auditing information, and the staff helps us stay within the current rules and regulations. The user interface and support have been positive for us. I think the price is reasonable and competitive, though I’d like to see it a little lower. The transition was fairly easy; moving manual processes took some time, but it was time well spent because once you set it up, you’re kind of set up.

What do you dislike about the product?

I’m still looking for a more powerful AI interface, especially for checking that our information meets minimum requirements and disclosure needs. I’d also like to see new accounting pronouncements and best practices from across Workiva’s customer base integrated into the product, but that doesn’t exist in a meaningful way right now. I don’t think Workiva interfaces with our Sage Intacct ERP, so we have to upload or copy information into the Excel plugin schedules; a better interface would be valuable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Workiva to carry files forward more efficiently, with integrated Excel schedules and links that update numbers throughout long documents. I can trace the basis for figures during audit and legal reviews and keep the data consistent.

Functionality and connection with excel.

Cannot use keyboard shortcuts and is not very intuitive when navigating the file screen

Being able to sync work from excel into a ppt easily, streamlines our team’s workflows

I like how it grants access, how it organizes requests, and how it structures reports.

It is not solving the problem, I am having to manage planning and PMO of SOX outside of Workiva. However, it is solving where we store our SOX testing

I like that Workiva has a lot of great features and is easy to use. It streamlines the process, provides a place to host data, and helps save costs. The initial setup was easy.

I wish Workiva had an AI tool for drafting financials and searching peer disclosures.

I use Workiva for a streamlined financial reporting process and to host data.

Workiva made collaborating much easier for me. It replaced a clunky, manual, email-driven process with a multi-stage, traceable process for tracking changes, collecting approvals, and confirming alignment between stakeholders. I like that it feels familiar, almost like Excel, but adds functionality Excel doesn’t have without feeling too heavy. I really like the track changes feature because it’s easy to see what’s changed after I’ve reviewed a file. I like it just how it is.

Workiva could be more visually appealing.

I loved the breakout demo sessions that showed in depth analysis of how to use various Workiva suites.

I believe that the Workiva training pushed their AI product too hard
