Workiva as an audit collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
The status of the audit process can be easily known.
Helps corroboration and team collaboration.
Markups and test forms provide additional information.

What do you dislike about the product?
If the status of all the workpapers is shown as a pie diagram, it can be helpful. (Eg :1/3 pie not started, 1/3 in progress, 1/3 completed)
The progress bar of not started, in progress, in review, complete as a horizontal bar can help assess the work done.
Search bar is only equipped to search by the title of the workpaper/contrlol. If that can accomodate additional search parameters, such as search by control description, it'll be greatly helpful.

Filing Convenience
What do you like best about the product?
The 24/7 help services are truly unmatched!
What do you dislike about the product?
The XBRL errors can be finicky. For instance, there is an error message for filing dates after the current date, so this error will show until the day before filing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workvia is an efficient platform for linking to multiple external documents and helps with file organization and task management.

What do you like best about the product?
It is so user friendly! I am not a systems person at all, but it took me no time to learn it! They have great quick cards and self help videos that are easy to use and learn. Their customer service is amazing! It seems they are constantly working on updates that have positive impacts to the work I'm doing. I use it all the time for everything ESG!I tell everyone about it!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that I dislike, although I have made a few requests for enhancements. Things like visibility for data approvers to see what tasks are outstanding from their data providers. In the current iteration, they can only see tasks that have been sent for approval. I also would love to see the certification become one within the task function and not separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our ESG processes have been revolutionized and we could not be happier! We have built out our greenhouse gas data collection, our sustainability reporting - metrics and content writing, water inventory, CBAM regulatory reporting, and working on CSRD.
An excellent data management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva as a tool is very flexible and easy to use. It has features which are very much similar to a Microsoft Office tool hence it becomes easier for the users to adapt to this tool. It has an inbuilt Process which allows certifications to be sent to users for their attestation which acts as an audit tool too. You can have a word, spreadsheet and a slide deck created in this very easily. There are features where you can upload an external file into Workiva and export an existing file from Workiva to your local machine too.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many but I would definitely want to use PDFs in Workiva in future as currently pdfs cannot be created and edited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva to manage a lot of documents into the tool so that it can be easily accessed by all the users in one go at a single location. Further, I also use Workiva for sending monthly, quarterly attestations to the users for them to review certain flows and procedures on a regular basis and provide their confirmation. The output of Workiva is also used by us for auidt management as Workiva keeps a trail of all the activities performed through it.
A cornerstone of simplicity and efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
There are countless Workiva features that render it an indisposable driver of efficiency for collaboration. Workiva seamlessly allows several external and internal parties to effectively collaborate on a variety of SEC filings which has lead to real time information sharing. Workiva's ease of use and implementation across external parties has lead to more effective outcomes for our filing process. The customer support is also quick to respond to inquiries which our team has found valuable when running against SEC reporting deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few dislikes to report about Workiva. One recommendation would be to promote trainings and other tutorials to empower users to fully learn the variety of Workiva features available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping to solve and reduce delays in information sharing among several parties involved in disclosure management, along with removing reliance on third party printers for SEC filings.
Helpful and Consistent Support
What do you like best about the product?
Our support team, including our Profesional Services Manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is a little lag when creating links from the supporting workbooks - can be a bit frustrating when have a lot to link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to have multiple parties viewing same document with different access abilities (i.e. our auditors have access to our 10Qs and 10Ks which is so much easier than having to circulate drafts).
Easy to update periodicly
What do you like best about the product?
You can co-edit word documents but wdesk can also update excel sheets and it can feed through the documents is very conveinient. It also makes me easy to update the same reports every quarter as most of the data can come through from the excel sheet and utilize the previous quarters documents easiliy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It gets very slow when America starts to work and hard to sync documents when i need to. Also i would like to have more flexibility on formats/ fonts in documents. It is sometimes hard to adjust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Does not have to mannually update figures quarterly, just by updating an excel sheet, it feeds through in to document.
Powerful Software for SEC Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful software that allows collaboration for the financial reporting team
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacking features that are typical in MS Office, PPT, and Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEC reporting documents
My experience with Workiva over the last 1.5 years as a IA Manager.
What do you like best about the product?
We have a designated CSM assigned to us. Additionally, Support is quick with turnaround.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much customization to set up when implementing the system. Not enough power to make updates is left with users, requiring many Support tickets to be opened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have idea tickets currently open and are working with our CSM to see they are closed.
Workiva Accessability
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has a lot of features and is very accessible. There are a lot of easy to use features and functionalities. Also, the workiva reps are very attentive and knowledgeable.
