Best In Class Finance/Accounting Software
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva continues to provide solutions to ever-changing reporting needs and provides features big and small that streamline workflows. The software is generally fast with limited bugs, which is leagues ahead of most finance and accounting software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not work well if you have limited internet connectivety, which is normal for browser-based software, but it would be nice if I could work offline on occasion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assists in filing timely and accurate financials.
User Friendly Software
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. I am very new to the software but I have had very few issues navigating and understand how to input data and update existing info.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be a bit cleaner. An update to a more modern look would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting is a breeze in the software. We are ealiy able to create the filings, send them off for reaview and actually file.
Efficient Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like the linkability of options within workiva between documents

customization of graphs is lacking on the platform

It helps save time by updating linked items for the latest updates to financials
Has a few quirks but net positive to productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Makes quarterly reporting 10x more efficient when updating reports quarter over quarter. It's fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it. Fairly easy implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some quirks/bugs: When i want to link from a source, it doesnt always remember my default settings or sometimes the blue clipboard doesnt pop up at all. When i export a report to ppt it shifts my text boxes around slightly or even rotates them. One day it was exporting (even when i printed) all of my chart in a different format (ex. bar chart labels of 0.075 instead of 7.5%). When i tried the next day it was find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quicker to roll forward reporting/slide decks for investors quarter over quarter.
Simple and Practical Solution to Financial Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the ability to search for the help features. The CSMs and other Workiva team members are more than happy to help out and solve any issues you may come across. The ability to consistently link items to make sure there are no discrepancies between reports saves so much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is web-based, it's hard to work offline if you are working while travelling or with poor internet connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is constantly improving and taking in feedback on various areas that need improvement in the platform itself. Other issues we have faced internally is the consistency of documents. We can leverage the linking functionality in Workiva to ensure that there is consistency between filings. Additionally, the platform has so many tools where it's easy to make updates to reports and documents in one go quarter over quarter.

Workiva customer support is the best where you can get quick turnaround via online chat support, ticket support, phone call customer support, and customer manager support zoom call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitation on making edits from customer end on reports built by Workiva.

Workiva is working on pushing limitation features for users to make users less depending on their customer support.

Efficient Audit System
What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful partners, accommodating, and listen to our needs carefully and act on them promptly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, system could be slow but overall, user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optmization of the processes involving SOX audit and other internal audit projects
Very user friendly (similar to using Excel and Word)

I like that it's very user friendly and the after hour support that's available to all users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if a user can drag and drop supporting documents instead of uploading them.

Workiva tends to be slow during our busy period, it's an issue I brought up several times.

That I have live resources available if needed. The XBRL team is always quick to assist. The ease of collaboration in the document amoung my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding updates, sometimes thing schange and there's some adjustment.

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has many functionalities and can be utilized in many different ways. It is also fairly easy to use for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be somewhat frequent server issues and wait times when opening documents or attachments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workspace for audit testing and workpapers as well as support. It also offers a time tracking system for the team.
