The experience has been ok.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Workiva is having all of our SOX testing and reporting in one tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
While customization of the tool is great, this requires custom solutions which our team has not had the best experience with. We've had multiple instances where the custom solution offered causes other items to break and stop working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of our SOX program all within one spot.
Workiva for automation and efficiencies
What do you like best about the product?
It is a fantastic platform for collaboration and also document linking, which allows documents to be updated real time as the source of data is updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva word and excel functions are fantastic, it seems like the ppt platform may be lagging behind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of data updates needing to be made globally now does not exist thanks to workiva linking.
Easy to use from as a SOX tester but many admin challenges
What do you like best about the product?
The following functionality is most helpful about Workiva: ease of use within the testing experience and ability to mark up files directly within the platform; ability to easily create custom reports as an end user and not having to request via CSM, Support team, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The following is least helpful about Workiva: lack of customization in other areas of platform (e.g., requests module cannot be customized); inability for management to evidence execution of their controls within Workiva similar to the testing experience; inability to integrate with other platforms such as Blackline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assisting in remediation efforts by housing all SOX artifacts, testing, etc. in a centralized workspace

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva helps centralize our Internal Audit project management function

Limited functionality in comparison to AuditBoard

Centralizing our audit data

What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is very user friendly. The linking is great and makes the document easy to work with. The help center articles are very helpful. It helps that the document is very similar to Word formatting because it makes things a lot easier and that the workbooks are like Excel. It's very convenient to be able to leave comments and tag users within the document and they will receive an email notification. It has great review features like blacklines, commenting and highlighting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The updates never seem to load for me. Sometimes I have to refresh multiple times for Workiva to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes the document excessible to many users and the editing features are great and make it easy to compile the document.
Workiva is great!
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about workiva is the functionality of it. It really is like an Excel in a browser, but much more user-friendly than Google sheets. I also love the customer service experience and customer representatives are always willing to answer. My teams question within a business day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there were more symbols, for example, the parentheses cannot be used in a superscript without creating a unicode outside of workiva itself.

Workiva helps my team work collaboratively and gets our filings on time.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
I have not had much experience with other financial statement filing tools, but with that said I don't believe I need to. Workiva is a great product delivering on its stated values. The support team is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the features can be glitchy or slow to respond (uploading support, search function, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of having a central location for a live document which users can simultaneously work on
Utilization of Wdesk (Workiva) for all audit related activities and processes.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva offers a great platform called Wdesk, which allows us to complete all of our audit activities in one centralized location. We believe in a test one, use many, approach and this platform allows us to achieve that goal.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some instances there are features I believe could be expanded on, however, they are minor. For example, I am able to create a file folder, be the owner of that folder, but I do not have the ability to rename the folder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping us solve the problem of completing audit activies in multiple locations. Before, we were using email, teams, document repositories, and other communication methods to complete our audits.
Workiva Wdesk Review
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides about using Workiva is the collaboration capabilities, being able to work together at the same time. I don't think there is any other product like it - we have explored cost cutting initiatives at different companies and decided to keep Workiva due to its unique product. It has worked well at multiple organizations I've been at. Additionally, the support desk has been helpful and timely to help any issues at the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva is still not a replacement for Word/Excel/Powerpoint at most organizations, especially rolling out to other teams or executives. Organizations do not want to learn another application and there is generally some push back to adapt - as a result, we usually have to do a hybrid of Workiva and Microsoft. The Spreadsheet and Presentation functionalities are not as robust as Microsoft and most places I have been at do not prefer to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Workiva is solving for me is the collaboration aspect. We have very large documents that involve many stakeholders and reviewers. The capability to maintain the most updated version is key (and to avoid version control issues).
User friendly software
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Workiva is very user friendly and intuitive. It mimics microsoft word. I use it almost every day during quarter close. The features I use the most include the syncing features and linking features. Customer service has always been friendly, and they scheduled calls with us when new updates are made.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides of Workiva include that it can be slow at times.

Workiva is solving the problem of combining a work place and filing program.
