Workiva Internal Audit
What do you like best about the product?
For internal audit purposes, document management is super easy and navigating controls is very efficient. It's all very easy to learn, and makes testing controls very easy to do, add follow ups, and to ask questions.
It's easy for new team members to learn, and a quick 15-20 min oboarding is all they need to get acquainted with the basics.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how wdesk sync updates really mess up my workflow. I have to uninstall the previous version, then reinstall the new version. It takes a while and is frustrating, especially since I don't always know the update is why it's not opening.
Also - when I have follow ups on sample support and return the request, the tickmarks are either erased or the documents are duplicated when the return is accepted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document request management is easy to track. All requests are easily accessible with statuses and communication built in.
A solid solution when multiple people/teams are working on the same document.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva allows us to draft our documents, leave comments, run redlines, add XBRL tagging, edgarize and file with EDGAR from one platform. We also use the permissions to limit user error by limiting access to certain sections of our documents and/or marking them complete. The Section 16 platform is very helpful in tracking equity holdings and makes insider filings very simple. Utilizing multiple workspaces has helped us to keep our various filings separate and organized (i.e., financial reporting, 8-Ks, and the proxy statement). Linking data in our document to the source data file has also made rolling documents and updating data a breeze. The support team at Workiva has always been awesome to work with, super responsive and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting in Workiva can sometimes be a chore and not super intuitive, especially when it comes to tables. I have often wished the spreadsheets in Workiva had more/better formula and chart capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not aware of any problem Workiva is solving.
Great Product for Public Filings

Eliminates the need for sharing numerous versions of the same document and leading to possible rework when loss of version control

What do you like best about the product?
Our reporting process is more automated than ever, and our reports are cleaner and better formatted than before.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some simple spreadsheet functionalities missing and the support people aren't always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has solved many issues of inconsistencies and rounding errors between reports and financial statement notes/numbers.
Easy to get start but user needs Excel background to work with

Workiva is easy to get set up and work through the screen. Convenience and easy to receive responses or comments notified thru emails.

Takes time to get used to espcialy the UI

What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use WDesk, where workiva has very helpful tools in terms of version control and change tracking. Additionally, the feature of linking statistics across various documents and sources is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva seems to be a pretty cumbersome program on my computer, and causes my internet browser to crash sometimes. Also, the lack of keyboard shortcuts can be difficult to work with

Helping version control and ensuring consistent financial results across documents
wDesk is a great product to facilitate multiple users across multiple spaces

The ablilty to have 100 users actively edit worksheets at the same time

There are some excel type of functions that would create a better QOL are absent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have 23 BU's and 100 DPCU to consolidate, this prgram helps.
Workiva is a fantastic tool for creating reports more efficiently and automating processes
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy linking and being able to enter information into one place, and propegate/publish it to several places across multiple documents. I enjoy being able to automate processes using wdata and chains. We use Workiva on daily basis to automate processes and a regular basis to prepare reports. The customer service at workiva is best in class.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Workiva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva lets my team do more things, in less time and with better quality.
Workiva Experience
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy of use. In every company I've worked at in the last 12 years, we have put in Workiva and were up and running very quickly. Folks who had never used the product go up to speed very quickly given it's ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would continue improving its integration with NetSuite.

We use Workiva for all our external filings. Workiva has made this a very simple process for us.
