Great platform for reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the efficiency and great customer success manager as any issues arise. Workiva is easy to navigate and makes the reporting process smoothly each quarter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes formatting in Workiva can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me as I am able to grant access to multiple people on the reporting team and they are able to go within Workiva and make updates as necessary. Workiva has also significantly improved our flux analysis process.
Collaborative and reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva allows us to work collaboratively in our draft financial statement filings cross-functionally, which has resulted in time savings and increased reliability through better version control. The functionalities within the platform that support linking between data workbooks and financial statements provide us with the ability to efficiently and reliably update data as needed. The XBRL and support team have always been incredibly responsive, which has been essential to supporting on-time filings.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve, which can be daunting for some unfamiliar with the platform. The investment was worth it for our primary users, but getting others into the tool for drafting was a bit of a battle. Finding the right mix of understanding balanced against responsibilities was critical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps us efficiently and reliably move from financial close through the drafting and filing of our financial statements and other regulatory filings.

What do you like best about the product?
The app. is user friendly and helps reduce the amount of time for preparing our SEC reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site can be buggy/glitchy at times causing there to be delays in links being created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva gives us the flexibility to create new tables or adjust our reports in a timely manner especially when last minute changes come in.
Great functionality and ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Great ease of use. Easy to share information with internal reviewers. Efficient. Great access to learning and best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spreadsheet formulas are limited and do not yet support all those available in Excel. However, the ones available are beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organized and efficient financial reporting

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. The platform is intuitive (i.e., I was able to teach myself how to use the platform). Xbrl team I also found helpful and supportive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the sales team demonstrated greater flexibility during the renewal process.

None at the moment.
User friendly and useful platform
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva provides an easy to use platform for 10-Q and 10-K filings, provides easy functionality to roll forward the prior document

Uploading documents for exhibits such as pdfs

Quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, Section 16 and 8-K filings - automates data population
Workiva helped centralize ESG data collection efforts
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly, with features and looks similar to MS Office - making the adaptation an easy transition. At the same time, the data integrity is well protected with specific access controls
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial process was a bit more technical and demanding than it could've been. At the same time, that devotion to detail allowed for future efficiencies as we are still working on adding new features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to download redlined document versions in Word and not just PDF to allow communicating changes more efficiently with report designers when developing our sustainability report
Uncomparable features
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva makes formatting and filing easy. There are so many options and features that are critical for proper formatting.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many important details to get right; it takes a lot of time to learn. Some functionality, such as for Markups and charts, are not as smooth and robust as they should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes roll forward of periods easy. It is able to retain a lot of data and keep it locked from editing, which allows it to be reliable. Syncing from system-generated reports also increases efficiency and reliability. Workiva recently added rollover of markups, which saves a lot of time.
Great for data, cumbersome to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is customizable, and the audit history of the information is tracked. I also love that it aggregates real-time data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very cumbersome to make any adjustments. They need to be made in multiple areas and the learning curve is a bit steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps with easy communication between teams and partners. The ability to gather data real-time and share it with others within the system is very helpful.
Workiva is a great tool for many financial/accounting needs!
What do you like best about the product?
Probably the thing I like most about Workiva is the ability to have workbooks where you can put a single link into multiple spots within multiple documents, really makes things go a lot smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that one feature I would like to see expanded upon is the copy/paste feature. Just having more options when it comes to copying/pasting links/tables would be helpful, I know there have been a few instances where I had in mind what I wanted to do, but wasn't able to do it due to the limitations of what all can/cannot be copy/pasted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely helps us by being able to house all of our quarterly/annual documents in one place that can work with each other by using links/workbooks/etc. It creates a more stable and fluid environment that just having a bunch of separate word documents.
