Testing and Review IPE, Applicative controls (IT Risk Advisory)
What do you like best about the product?
Easily navigate to the control from the last year. Everything is centralized in one place with all the attachments and descriptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's disconnecting too often, so it's a lil bit annoying.
There isn't an option for monetization changes in the control, like a change log.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It centralized all the control data, including attachments, referrals, and the review process. In addition, the status of the controls is summarized, which is helpful.

Its very good tool for end-to-end testing.

Its Structure and organization of the tool.

It will not support the bandwidth and markup issue.

Workvia is helping to improve audit technics.
Efficient but Quirky
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration and efficiencies gained by using the platform are the best part of working in Wdesk. As an audit manager, I am able see percentage complete, potential exceptions, and delayed control tested at the click of a button.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform itself has gone through some growing pains. There have been days where my group has been locked out of the platform for a couple of hours. The customer service team at Workiva is great at following up and getting to the root cause of the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva has made all of our audit work accessible to the entire audit department. It has led to better collaboration between the audit groups and a more streamlined testing process.
Workiva New User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The design/user interface is user friendly. Dashboard provides a helpful overview.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to familiarize yourself w/ all the tools. It would be helpful to view attachments/work papers in Markup Viewer in multiple tabs at the same time.

Workiva helps in organizing results and documentation for work papers/supporting documents.
ESG Platform - Clunky and duplicative work
What do you like best about the product?
We utilize Workiva for our SEC Filings, SOX compliance, Technical Accounting Memos, and most recently are implementing their ESG solution. ESG is not user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only complaint is on ESG platform. Not user friendly. Data tables, running chains, complex formulas. Would rather just to factbook to doc.

Workiva woks like wow
What do you like best about the product?
Transparency, all at one place, cloud based cab be accessed from anywhere, live updates, history of updates. Linking between controls.. perfect tool for sox.....
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes too long to open files, does not support xlsb files, there is error in adding time stamps during control testing, gets very slow in the evenings

Everything is always online.. it is easy to access another from anytime.. dashboards are helpful to get a view of status update instantly.. flow charts are easy

I enjoy the most being able to update and edit documents directly in the application. It makes my work so much more efficient.

Some of the edit tools are not the most user-friendly, but you can get done most of what you want.

Wdesk is the Best!
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva's reporting platform has all the features I want, which can't be said of other products I've seen demoed. I love the linking between multiple files, support binder feature, and status labels on each section.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often have to justify to management the need for a software that is so much more expensive than competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows for real-time collaboration between multiple departments. FP&A, Investor Relations, and Financial Reporting all have the same information at the same time, so presentations are synced up.
User friendly and Intuitive Tool for SEC Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The functions are intuitive and easy to navigate to perform financial reporting with one source of truth. The linking capabilities in Workiva had a positive impact on our reporting efficiency and accuracy. The quarterly folder roll-forward function is also handy for bringing the filings and number supports to the next reporting period. The product continues to be upgraded with new functions and features that bring more convenience to the users. One of the functions I like the most is that it allows cross-functional teams to collaborate with different user accesses and work on the platform simultaneously, adding review comments or updating the reporting files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of spreadsheet functions compared with Excel spreadsheets. The exported spreadsheets don't include formulas. Also, the exported documents in Word sometimes messed up the formats, but it's not a significant drawback overall. The Powerpoint in Workiva can also be improved to make the board presentation look better, but the download function is straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented the sync function from the ERP system-generated report to Workiva spreadsheets, which proved to be a big time saver.
