Don't know what'd I do without Workiva.
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration amongst the team via live documents. Linking data to a single source file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult for users outside of reporting to leave mircosoft products behind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva streamlines our financial reporting process both internally and externally.
Great and promising platform, needs more work on front end, presentation side of things

Connectivity, collaboration, ease of roll overs
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva support does not recognize bugs. Sheets is still missing some basic features like hide rows based on values, fit to page for pdf etc. Workiva can become awesome on presentation side of things too, there is lot of room. Feature requests take long time to get attended to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continuous connectivity, collaboration within platform. Reports can now be created much more efficiently

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interconnectedness of their modules and the reporting functionality. I also appreciate number of users is not limited, it's collaborative.
What do you dislike about the product?
Training other users to use the tool and managing permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides an environment to organize business objectives and monitor many risks at once.
As a user for over 10 years it is easy for me to recommend them.

What do you dislike about the product?
the user experience when using attaching support to documents. The SOX solution is clunky. Hard to customize user access within SOX solutinos

Data consistency across multiple solutions
Awesome collaboration functionality and one stop solution platform
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is a live platform and all changes are visible through the history. Clients can do updates themselves and updates pull through many documents at the same time
What do you dislike about the product?
They took away the 0pt rule function that they had in the classic version - tables need to be restyled to get rid of lines if the design change. Tracked changes can be removed - the history is amazing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They help our clients control their data in a centralised controlled and manageable way. With that it makes my life easier focussing on design and not copy edits. Proofing from Wdesk is less stressful for our clients
My favorite financial reporting system
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use the platform and that you can access it from anywhere - all you need is your log in and password. The software is very easy to use and multiple team members can be in the platform at the same time updating various sections simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I do not particularly care for is that you cannot schedule a filing - so if your company wants to file at 5 am Pacific - 8 am Eastern, you must be up to file it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application can be accessed by multiple team members at the same time, easy to use and everything is saved instantly. We currently only use the SEC module in the platform.
Workiva is easy to use and has great support.
What do you like best about the product?
The system is pretty intuitive and if I have questions they are able to help resolve the issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the things are not as flexible or like Word/Excel and should be more plug and play.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are trying to help me give access to my staff without allowing them to make changes that could be detrimental to the document.

Simipliies SEC filing via easy to navigate platform, ability to collaborate with multiple editors and see real-time updates.

Tie-out functionality is more cumbersome than paper format.

Ability to collaborate and see real-time updates from multiple editors.
Great User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface, everything is at your fingertips and very easy to navigate. Also the short and informative videos on how to do things is really good. I use those if I forget how best to accomplish a task and don't spend hours looking for a solution, I can quickly and easily find the information and play the video and get my answer in 2 or 3 minutes. Great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the error messages that is received when I generate XBRL. They are long, unclear and not very informative. I find myself spending to much time trying to figure out what the error is and how to fix it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When importing a word document the format comes over as percent instead of single, that would cut down on the formatting time of big documents.
Workiva Review - December 2023
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Workiva for the past several years to help create filing documents, including Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs and 8-K's. The software works well in a web browser and can also be used to create presentation slide decks with capabilities similar to PowerPoint. Workiva is intuitive to use as a word processor, and has been helpful to collaborate with others within my company and with outside consultants. Workiva has a robust customer success team who will respond to comments and questions via email in a timely manner. In the past my team has ran into issues with using the filing project wizard to perform 10-Q and 10-K test/live filings, and the Workiva customer sucess team has been helpful in fixing these issues so my company can file on time. My team uses Workiva every day to perform various workflows for SEC reporting, and has been simple to integrate and implements seemlesly using our ERP software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workvia at times can be a bit laggy and buggy, especially if you have multiple tabs open at the same time. I've also had situations where i've been logged out automatically of Workiva and have to log back in. Having a setting where I can stay logged in would be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes collaborating with a team in preparing filing documents simple. Features such as tagging comments to other members on my team and across my organization have been beneficial in my workstream in preparing Form 10-K's and 10-Q's.
